New menu has changed GBK for the worse I'm afraid. Essentially it's McDonald's but more expensive. Smash burger just had some sloppy cheese sauce, nothing else and some insipid lukewarm fries.

Myself & my daughter visited GBK Bluewater earlier today. Max alongside Phoebe was incredibly attentive, ensuring our experience was perfect. Max was clearly extremely busy, greeting every customer ensuring they were happy & no one was kept waiting. Please extend our gratitude to both Max & Phoebe😊

Menu reduced, poor quality food . Very disappointed with gbk. After this restaurant being my first go to burger joint in bluewater, I visited today with a friend , to find they had reduced their menu. Not only have they reduced their menu, but some of my favourite items were not available or taken off the the menu completely. When the food arrived, my friends chicken burger was burnt underneath, and absolutely was not edible. Asked the manager for another one, which arrived promptly and cooked properly. The size of the beefburger has shrunk considerably. Well not be going back to GBK

Food was nice but portions have shrunk considerably since before the pandemic. My £10 burger was the same size as my daughters child size burger and the fries were definitely smaller. No hey hey salt, no refillable drinks anymore.

WE used to like GBK, not any more. The "new menu is rubbish, no salad dressing, awful cheap sloppy coleslaw. The grilled chicken tasted ok , what there was of it. Bye bye GBK

I visited this establishment to enjoy a burger for my son’s 20th birthday and it did not disappoint. I was impressed that even though it was a busy Saturday afternoon, we were seated within a minute and I discovered that I was able to download the app and placed the order from that. There was also the option to be served by a person and there was a QR code that allows you to open their website and place the order through that. We decided to go for the smashed burgers and they were very good indeed tasty and properly cooked. We also had an incredibly thick milkshake each that was ice cold and delicious and because I placed my order on the app we got one of the milkshakes (£5.75 each) free. We opted for a mixed salad and skinny fries and the fries were some of the best I’ve ever had. They were very skinny indeed but delicious and absolutely piping hot. Although the prices are a little on the high side for a burger. It is well worth it. If you get very high-quality our total bill came to £43 and that included 5% tip and I paid that on the app.

We were so disappointed, even shocked, by the ridiculously reduced size of our burgers (order number / bill 43, by Julia at 14.21 hrs). They have a nerve to take money up front, in this case £47.50 and then short change us with children's size burgers. We can understand price increases in line with inflation, but to then 'shrink' their burgers is an insult and a con and amounts to unjustified profit taking. We used to eat at GBK often, but had not been for a while. Never again! Next time we will go to Five Guys across the way, where they serve traditional, regular sized burgers, for less, which are just as tasty. No wonder GBK is failing and closing venues. Appalling!

Ordered today for the first time in years. If it was just based on food, I'd have given 4 or 5 stars. However customer service is severely lacking. Ordered via app to collect. Asked the lady at the till with tank top and jeans to check my burger didn't have bacon, all good so far. Told her student discount didn't work on app, nor could I get the free shake, she couldn't be any less interested even if she tried. Understand it's a chain so happy to just pay full price without a fuss. Ordered a sauce while collecting the takeaway, asked for a recommendation, she suggested Chipotle mayo. Got home to realise it had bacon. It's not hard guys. Wake up! Grab a coffee, whatever it takes to pay attention when you your neighbouring restaurants are significantly busier than you are. I'm sure it's a fair assumption you would like more business; doing the bare minimum required by contract in this day and age when consumers have more choice than ever is not a good example on how to run a restaurant.

I come to GBK all the time, but last couple of times I am leaving very disappointed. I tried to order and my tastecard wasn’t added to the final bill, and my order was 25% more expensive then I should have paid, also they haven’t blocked the beers they don’t have from the menu, and only after ordering they came to tell me only one option in a can was available, they gave me those instead which are cheaper than what I ordered… the burger is not as nice as it used to be as well… the standards here are really lowering down!!

Good place for a quite lunch, staff dident bother us once and just let us enjoy our meal. Burger was perfectly cooked to my request, Even the fussy kids enjoyed the food. The new hot hony butter wings were fantastic, nice and crispy, with just a little heat, there spicy bbq sauce is good especially when put in a burger I've been here a few times now and the food is always good, this place is turning into my new favorite place to eat. Phill was very helpful. 01/04/2024 Update today we were served by Kyanna and she was super lovely and helpful, I'd go as far as to say that she gave one of the best services I've had she is a credit to your business.

I had a lovely burger with blue cheese and sweet potato fries with chicken wings on the side. The burger was a bit messy to eat, but which burger isn’t? There were plenty of tissues on hand. Everything was served hot and quick.

I had a chargrilled chicken burger, it was £11 and, in my opinion, not worth it. I also had coleslaw, it was not very tasty, the best bit was the milkshake, it was tasty and there was a good sized metal beaker full of it. The restaurant is not to my taste and I won't be returning but you may love it, everyone is different

Service can sometimes be a little sketchy but generally the food is always on point. Delicious onion rings and milkshakes.

Disgraceful Won’t recommend this restaurant Californian Burger- cold and undercooked Sweet potato fries- completely raw Waste of money and time

We had a difficult time with some mistakes with the orders during a busy Saturday eve service but Phil the manager came and had a very earnest humbling conversation with us. He really put things right and was compassionate in his manner. We were very grateful and our children had a great time.

I went to the restaurant, with my daughter and her partner, I am disabled and use a wheelchair, I did not expect to get a table as it was Valentine's evening, however of all the restaurants in Bluewater this one had the least amount of customers. We were asked to wait by a man with a very 'bushy' beard wearing a large, checked shirt, I describe him this way, because although he said he was the manager he refused to give me his name. He then returned and although the front of the restaurant had many empty tables with space around them for my wheelchair, he wanted me to go to the back of the restaurant to a booth, it was very clear that I could not get into a booth or manoeuvre my wheelchair to the far back of the restaurant, when we pointed this out to him, he waived his hand in my face in a dismissive way and said, 'well, you will just have to wait' My daughter went up to the counter to explain and to complain and he came up to the counter waiving his finger in her face, saying the 'free' tables at the front were booked, we said that we understood this, however, could he not change any of the booked table to the back of the restaurant, so that I could use the front tables to accommodate my mobility problems, this he refused to do, he was loud, aggressive and intimidating, I am a disabled pensioner, I felt humiliated by him. When my daughter asked for his name, he refused to give it to her, he said he was the manager and he then shouted across the restaurant to the rest of the staff, 'do not give them my name' it was so embarrassing, We left the restaurant being watched by all the other diners, I felt discriminated due to my mobility issues. I intend to make a formal complaint as I feel they are in breach of the Disability Discrimination Act

Waited 10 mins to be sat down. Table not cleaned. Food arrived before drinks which had been forgotten. Food terrible. Burnt onion rings, frozen chips and burgers. Oreo milkshake tasted awful. One of the worst meals in my 48 years on this planet.

We have visited this location several times, and there's often been something minor go wrong (like drinks sat on the side not beiing brought over until after the food arrived, side of chips not arriving until 15 minutes after the rest of the food). It's never been enough to not go back, as the food always tasted good with plenty of vegetarian options. On our last visit a burger ordered medium was thoroughly undercooked, with blood dripping on the plate when it arrived. We sent it back but when it returned we could again see blood on the plate. Cutting into it to make sure it was even less cooked than the first burger. At this point we requested a refund for the meal and left. I've rated 2 rather than 1 as my vegan burger was fine, although the raw beef was quite offputting to my meal also, and the staff member (I think her name is Edyta) was accomodating and polite, as she always has been on our previous visits.

We ate at GBK yesterday 05/12/23 and enjoyed our food and time at the bluewater restaurant. A special mention to the manager who was very attentive and made sure we had a good experience dining there.

Burgers were delicious. Medium-rare was really medium-rare (and not medium or well done, as you often see in hamburger restaurants). Exeptionally good response (!) of the staff, when they realised that they mixed up our order. Thank you! I would definetly come back to GBK-Bluewater!

Took advantage of the £7 burger deal as advertised on MSE website....what a mistake! It is our go to place to eat when visiting Bluewater (our third visit) so we were looking forward to it, but this was a different experience, the food arrived in a a plastic sieve like dish, the burger was smaller than usual and chips were bitty. Safe to say a real out off from going here again.

Firstly I will start the review on a positive note.. We went to the GBK at lakeside a few months ago which was fantastic!! Due to this we decided to have lunch at the GBK at Blue water which was a mistake.. As we entered the restaurant we had to wait ages for a member of staff to see us to a table.. When we were eventually seated the lady gave us our menus and left us to order our food via the app..(we had acquired the app due to going to Lakeside) firstly we were unable to order £9 lunch menu which was blanked out on the app.. the 0% beer on the paper menu was not available on the app.. We wanted to ask a member of staff about these issues but no person to be seen. At this point this should have been seen as a red flag!! We ordered our food... mistake.. Its fair to say there was nothing gourmet about it.. My burger which was meant to be medium rare in which they placed a tough scrap of boot leather in its place.. the wifes burger bun must have been passed the used by date as it was so stale the top had the same texture as a crouton.. When the food was served, the boy that served it kindly asked whether we wanted any sauces in which we asked for ketchup and mayo.. 5 minutes goes by with my boot leather getting cold only to look round and see the same boy cleaning a table.. At this point I am quite frustrated so I go and ask him where the sauces were in which he directed me to the other side of the restaurant to get them myself. Its a shame he did not explain that the sauces were self service when he delivered the food.. (Lakeside provided us with sauces) So to sum it up next time we will be going to the five guys opposite.. or maybe even McDonalds..

We went for a family meal and my kids are the most unfussiest but my son had the Jerk burger and it was pink in the middle and burnt to a crisp on the outside. I then checked my other sons burger and that was also pink. We sent it back and they recorded it and gave us new burgers. They were both burnt to a crisp. My vegan burger was too and to the point where I had charcoal pieces stuck in my teeth. By this point we'd paid upfront as paid on per app and we didn't bother to send it back again we just left vut I'm really angry and confused as to how a chef in a Burger.Kitchen cannot cook a burger. I think if I dragged a random.person off the street they'd do a better jo. And to charge £13 for the burger with no fries and yet it wasn't cooked ....wow. I hope my son doesn't get salmonella.poisoning tonight. I'll never ever return.

Waited for the food for more than an hour. Restaurant wasn’t even half full. Now Waiting in the queue for refund, absolutely ridiculous service. Dont think we’ll be coming back for this.

Even though the restaurant was only a quarter full, we waited exactly one hour for our burger and fries. And despite there being numerous waiting staff floating around trying to find something to do, no-one came to give us an update, apologise, see if we were okay or if we needed something. Trying to keep a two year old entertained while he's hungry for an hour wasn't much fun. It turned out they were prioritising online orders. Truly ruined the whole experience and left no time to shop afterwards.

Great quality food and reasonable lunch deals 9 quid for a burger side and drink. Bluewater team were friendly and efficient. Only drawback - as had sensory kid with me was loud radio in background conflicting with background music as we were sitting near the kitchen. Will definitely be back. Thank you 😊

There's a good £6.50 deal of a drink burger and chips- small portion but its perfect for a lunch

Pretty decent burger. I made use of the £9 lunch deal which included a Classic Beef Burger, Fries and a drink. Relatively speaking, that is a great deal - that is Burger King money but far superior. I love that GBK give you an option of how you would like your burger cooked from rare up to well done. However, I think this is where they can fall down a bit though as it means they need to get it right. I asked for 'medium', and it came out more 'medium to well done'. Saying that, it was a really good burger and if they just cooked it like that without giving any options then there wouldn't be any issues, but when they offer to cook it a certain way, then they should. They're creating expectations that clearly show it is hard to keep up with. It was similar with my Son's burger, he asked for 'medium to well done', and it was clearly 'well done'. Back to my food though, the toppings were pretty good, the glazed bun was nice and the fries were decent. It would be a 5 star rating but for the expectations around how they cook your burger. This hasn't put us off at all though, we will be returning with our other Son but we'll ask for the lower level of cooked than we actually want, so I'll ask for 'Rare' to hopefully get 'Medium'.

Took my wife and daughter here for pre-father’s meal. To be fair to them mine and my daughter’s beef burgers were absolutely delicious. My wife’s chicken burger on the other hand was pink and uncooked in the middle. Staff tired to tell me this was due to it being thigh meat and that line was repeated when I contacted the management. I’m not convinced but judge for yourself.

Great food, absolutely love their burgers fresh when eating in - the place is unbelievable quiet every evening with lots of seating so if you want a quieter atmosphere this is the place. Service is always nice too, massive fan

Fab place for a very tasty and well cooked meal. Teddy and the team looked after us brilliantly (we have a disabled daughter and nothing was too much trouble for the guys at GBK). The negative reviews below do not reflect our experience at all: all of the food was steaming hot, utterly delicious, managed to taste healthy and not at all greasy (quite some feat for a burger joint) and the staff were just so lovely. My daughter said it was best Aperol spritz she'd ever had and the milkshakes are to die for. I'm still thinking about my chocolate shake now!

Me and my partner love GBK over the years and thought we would treat ourselves. Massively disappointed in the limited selection on the menu now. Food was below average in my opinion. Burger was grease and the fries don’t come skinny anymore. I wouldn’t bother again Staff were nice tho

We could see our food waiting at the pass for about 10 minutes, so there was a good 15 minute wait from the first persons food arriving to the third. We could also overhear the staff complaining that we did not tip, calling us a bunch of “b*tches” to another staff member, from about 2 meters away from our table. Food was fine, nothing special but the service ruined the experince

They force you to use the mobile app, app is broken. They take your money from your credit card and after that they blame you for not paying.

Visited today and ordered the chicken which tasted off. We told a waiter and they took it back. Just to watch the chef be dismissive of our complaint. Very unprofessional customer service. Have been to other gbk and this particular one I would never return.

Having been to plenty of GBKs this one is by far the worst. Had chicken starter which had a strong ammonia smell, and was clearly not right. Had this chicken plenty of times and it's the reason we came and yet here it just wasn't right. Told the waiter who returned it to the chef who was clearly dismissive of our concerns (if you're in public view perhaps take that into account). Manager came over defensively and while refunded the chicken, felt more like trying to tell us were wrong rather than listen. Having gone to Lakeside the difference in quality here at Bluewater is shocking.

The plant burger is so good, totally recommend if you are vegetarian. Substitute the vegan cheese for normal etc as well if you like.

I would definitely not recommend this place. The burger was tasteless, the place busy (which we expected considering how busy the mall was) and they had one part of the restaurant closed even there was a queue. Luckily they opened it right when it was our turn but deeply regretting spending almost £45. Next time ‘5 guys’ right opposite is sure choice!

Few years ago, we used to go to Canary Wharf GBK regularly. Loved their burgers. Have not been to GBK in the recent years. The prices stayed same but the quality is reduced terribly. 10 to 12£ for an oily veg patty burger, seriously! Go to Macdonalds if you want to eat a better tasting burger than GBK. It is literally wasting your money, none of us did not finish our burger, nobody bothered to ask. The options in the menu have been reduced. There is no service at all other than dropping food on the tables. It is not the same GBK any more!

The californian is epic and a solid hearty vegan meal

Went in for a quick snack with my girlfriend and her friend, Ordered the mighty burger medium rare expecting the usual brown all the way through burger you normally get when you ask for medium rare When I tell you this was one of the best burgers I have eaten I am not exaggerating I had to ask my server who cooked my meal so I could thank them Bina, you're an absolute champion and a fantastic chef, thank you for the perfect burger

Amazing restaurant with great atmosphere. Manager Bina goes out of her way to make you feel at home and the service is fantastic. Service with a smile and the staff all so friendly. What a great manger Bina is! Watching her with her staff team was a pleasure! Food cooked perfectly every time we go here! Very impressed!

I can't rate how good the burgers high enough, the choose was wide ranging and you could swap a bun for a salad which helps if you are watching what you eat. The staff were very friendly allowing us to pick the table we wanted. It was obvious by the number of people getting food picked up for delivery we are not the only people who loved the burgers

Good lunch here with my son which was first time at a GBK in many years and it was good. Service friendly enough although you are directed to self serve on the app but the food was good. Added an additional burger to my order and it was very good,my son actually left part of his burger which I had words about ! Lots of chips too. Overall not the cheapest lunch but very pleased we gave it a go.

Quality food, good portions and very good service. Even though it was very busy, I was very impressed with how the staff managed really well to look after their customers with a smile on their face. Empty tables were cleaned quickly. Just a very efficiently ran restaurant.

Saturday lunch , very busy as to be expected, but food comes quick and you can order and pay via the app. I find it expensive for what it is but then again on par with five guys , Byron ect , still a five guys man myself

I visited your branch at blue water with 2 children on 23rd Jan. I placed my order online as instructed by the staff member. However the staff member assigned us a wrong table number as the table numbers are written on cups which can be moved. So I placed an order with table number 46. Then after waiting for 25 min, I asked the same person about our order and he said to wait for 30 min Then another person came and he said if he can help. He then spotted the mistake and assigned us a table number 29 and we got served in next 25min. Really unhappy with this. It becomes really difficult to manage with kids. Also when the food did arrive, I found that fries were missing from chicken bundle. It is mandatory selection of the order but it did not appear even in the list. I have also written to you asking to refund me for the food that was missing but I have not heard back at all

Me and a friend dined here on 27/01/22. The chicken burger that was served to us was clearly raw inside, after noticing, we called the waiter over who then called his manager. When I asked if She would eat the chicken burger she replied "It looks okay to me, I would eat the other half". What sort of comment is that! I then asked, is this safe for me to eat, yes or no? and She replied "would you like me to change it?" of course I do! I am lucky that I cut the burger in half as if I hadn't, I may of been subject to food poisoning. I will not be returning.

This is the best GBK I've ever been! Staffs here are super Stars, friendly and polite. And the food it's amazing. 100% recommended.

Reasonable pricing, very tasty and decent sized portions. Can't five star it as it has a very limited dessert menu, but overall I enjoyed it and the caramel shake was a dessert in itself.

We’ve been waiting for incomplete orders and when we ask an waiter for help he sent us at the bar to speak and resolve our problem. You can see how busy they are… never come back!!

Disappointed is an understatement I visited today with a.very close friend who unfortunately I don't see very much as we both live in opposite ends of the south east.so wanted this to be a lovely lunch for us both but it was far from it. We were not asked how we would like a burgers cooked so both came out medium rare which neither of us eat sent back they came out same again chips were stone cold. To top it off we waited over 30 minutes to be served food a third time with hairs in my friends burger also she is diabetic so has to eat and cannot wait too long . Will not be returning do us all a.favour train your staff properly and teach them food hygiene skills

Ate at the restaurant today for lunch and I won’t be returning again. We were not asked when ordering how we would like our burgers (found out during the experience that they should ask you) and they both arrived pink inside, we were also given two portions of chunky chips after ordering skinny fries. We returned the burgers and after 5 minutes were given the same burgers back again which were still just as pink. To be fair the server was friendly and polite and a manager stepped in when we asked for a refund and promised us a new meals with well done burgers (hence the 2 stars are for the staff that tried to resolve the issues). Third time lucky??? Not really, one burger was minus the pink but the other still had visible pink areas. I’m aware you can eat it like this but it’s not how we wanted or requested it. The icing on the cake was the two hairs found in the food. This was enough for us to put our knives and forks down and leave. One of us has started to feel sick this evening and whilst the staff are quick to try and resolve issues, it seems the chef is not willing to cook to the customers preference. £40 and a pretty disappointing experience, the first and last I’m afraid!

Very rude staff, complained they messed my order , staff member kept talking over me then walks of saying he doesn't have to do this. Manager was less than helpful she explains she wasn't there so she can't deal with the staff member.
