order sweet sour pork sogy. tasteless chops yet roll swimming in grease absolutely worste meal ever had disgusting

We went in May for fish and chips and it was excellent. Today it was awful. The chips were more like wood chips. Its a gamble so we won't be going again.

Go here every time iam home from the USA as I stay in my sons who live near by. The food English or Chinese is always of good quality with large portions

Just moved into the area. Have frequented Melling Fish Bar twice now and can’t criticise a single thing. In fact the owner seems one fo the nicest chaps about. Have only tried the fish and chips and sausage and chips, but will be trying the Chinese at the weekend as it looked lush.

Best chippy ever. Meals are fab, great portion sizes and the staff are excellent, really friendly. Nothing too much for Si, goes up and above what is expected for his customers. Highly recommend.

Miserable staff especially Terri food is tasteless and expensive dirty little place smells of cannabis outside I have been short changed several times check your change,chips are the worse I have had WARM UPS from night before . My wife even was given the wrong meals and no apology food cold and they are expensive for small portions,food hygiene is not a 5 . They are failures at delivery but all in all food is CRAP and staff are too

Was really good i always ask for my fish separately from the chips great chef and staff and the meals are good

Definitely the best chippy around . Always a warm welcome and service with a smile. The owners get involved with the community and raise funds for local charities and donate prizes to local charities. They have recently received an award for their commitment to the community.There food is always freshly prepared and delicious. Well done Simon and your staff .

Used this place many times and never been let down - salt n pepper chicken is superb as is the Singapore vermicelli - I am confident all the meals here are tasty though. Whenever I call in the shop itself always met with friendly staff.

Meals are cooked to a high standard. Portions are generous. Lemon chicken is worth a try. I have had various meals from this take away and never been disappointed.

Que frecuentan el bar de pescado para comer chino melling cada pocas semanas. Buena comida, excelente servicio y excelente relación calidad-precio. El Singapore vermicelli es fantástica y el sal n chips pepper también son fantásticos.

My Daughter sometimes goes here before the Youth Club with her mate ,she loves it and said the meals and service is great ☺

This local chippy and Chinese Takeaway has been here for many yers and has always provided good service and nice food. I would recommend the Sausage Dinner or a Vegetable Curry from their menu

A very popular fish and chip shop with a good chinese menu.It can be busy which tells you a lot about the food from here, so if you have not tried this place give it a try.

This place has really gone down over the last few years. The food is very poor and expensive, plus they won't even allow you to change a meal on the set menus!!

Used to always come here on our 'chippy fridays' but the last meal we got resulted in illness... All of us!!! Unfortunately it will be the last visit but it used to be so nice. Hopefully in a couple of weeks when we can stomach the thought again we will give it another try

If ordering meals we always phone through our order and are alway given an approximate time for when it will be ready and when we can collect. The staff are alway pleasant and courteous and the food is always hot and delicious. Best takeaway by far serving Melling and Kirkby.

Waited over an hour an a half for a freezing cold fish and chips and a pot of cold boiled noodles with chicken... Being passed off as Chicken noodle soup ? £18 for food that went in the bin!! Will never order from melling fish bar again! Poor food and poor customer service

so embarrassing I had friends around and we ordered three meals and starters - OMG the worst Chinese food I have ever tasted. The crispy spring rolls were sodden with grease and when they were unwrapped had just collapsed into a mush, they were absolutely disgusting. Our main meals were no better with the chicken satay just like lumps of chicken in a slightly spicy brown gravy - no way a satay, the other two meals were sweet & sour, one chicken and one king prawn - the only good thing in the whole meal were the king prawns but oh dear the chicken pieces were hard and unappetising and the sweet & sour sauce was like water! Take my advice don't even bother!!

I rang this chippy by people saying it was amazing I rang a meal and it took 1 hour and 20mins so I rang up and got a bad attitude lad I asked 4 the manager and he anounced he was management wat a attatuide horrible to customers gets u no were he told me to cancell my meal so did then I rang woks cooking 10 mins it took !!!
