The best restaurants serving Seafood food in England

Popped in for a snack with a student, so needed a VAT receipt. Asked if they did them, to get a fairly rude response of no, back. Then I said an itemised receipt would be fine. After a mistake they then made at the till, they struggled to get me a receipt. The lady who served us was so rude asking why I should need an itemised receipt for just chips. She said she couldn’t fix the problem as the staff member who works on the till had already gone home, and “what did she want me to do about it?!!” To make things worse, she was the owner! Very rude. Will not be returning.

I have a wheat & gluten allergy but saw they catered for it. WOW WOW AMAZING Beautiful fresh hot just yummy 👍😁 light but crispy batter good sized chip, nice and fluffy. Price was very fair £15.90 for cod and chips and battered sausage and chips. Too many chips for me and that’s saying something I’m a hungry hippo lol couldn’t make my mind up so hubby and I had half cod half sausage.

I booked a table for 3 of us for lunch. My aunt is 90 yrs & had really been looking forward to having fish & chips, so we wanted to bring her to the best chip shop around. We weren’t disappointed. My hubby & aunt both had haddock, chips & mushy peas & I had the chicken burger & chips. Delicious! The batter was light & crispy & chips were tasty & my burger was perfectly cooked. All the food came hot as did our cappuccino’s. The table service was excellent. We were given a warm welcome from the minute we entered. The female restaurant staff greeted us with big smiles & were all incredibly polite. We couldn’t fault our experience & will definitely be returning soon. Thank you for making our day so special. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely disgusting! 2 potions of calamari and a portion of chips ended up in the bin immediately. All I felt was salt and thick rock batter! Total waste of money! But I guess in a crowded street and a beach next to it, it will always survive. Never again.

This is no longer the Fisherman's Wife. It would be great if the people that have taken it over could also serve a variety of locally caught fish.

Best fish and chips we have had in many years. Visited Pakefield from The Midlands and again had to have fish and chips and curry sauce. Never dissapointed 5 star

First time using this fish and chip shop and I can say it will be the last. Chips arnt great and curry sauce wasn't very nice , very watery with not much taste. Noticed employees serving and handling food with really long hair not tied back either . Hair probably going in everyone's food 🤢

It may not look like much from the outside but we were very impressed with our plate of cod and chips. 5 star food rating and well worth a visit when you are in Broadstairs.

Visited this place with extended family whilst on a visit to the area. It was a large order - we got kebabs, fish, burgers - two vegetarians in the family who got a veggie burger (tasted disgusting) and a cheese patty (no cheese? mainly grey potato and a bit of onion, it tasted awful and cold in the middle). Kebabs were greasy with fat dripping off them, fish was not pleasant and didn't taste like cod. The curry sauce did not taste of curry and the pot was tiny. It was embarrassing for family who recommended this place. No wonder the place was empty when we visited. My family have stopped going there and now visit Blyth and Seaton Sluice where they know they will get a pleasant tasting meal.

Now renamed Woodys. Brand spanking new interior. Runs like clockwork. Be ready for a wait though as everything’s fresh. Staff lovely. Best fish in a long time and absolutely best chips EVER. Fabulous value too. THANKS!

I have used this fish and chip shop before and really enjoyed eating there fish and chips, but this time the fish was obviously cooked the day before the batter was like cardboard and fish really dry and inedible had to bin the fish the dog wouldn’t even eat it!

Estábamos alojados en Par sands parque de vacaciones y fuimos aquí como era local. Aparcamiento en la parte trasera del lugar Personal amable - y bueno para ver a los lugareños usando , buena indicación de buena comida - buenas bromas entre los lugareños y el personal. La comida era de buen precio, cocinado a la orden y muy sabroso. Buenas opciones para veganos y sin gluten. Compruébalo si estás en la zona👍

A fish and chip takeaway near the car park in Sidford. It is popular and therefore needs to wait for the order to be cooked. Fish and portions are generous and nicely presented

Anfitriona estaba ausente de la estación (debimos haber salido de allí). Servidor era amigable pero incompetente y culpaba a la administración, pero ni siquiera quería traer los cubiertos. Nuestras nietas hicieron la selección de su propia langosta y estaba mal cocinado ($ 89 desperdiciado!). Sus bebidas son baratas tipo crucero de bebidas. El ambiente era de mal humor de todos los empleados excepto cuando hablaban con un amigo suyo sentado en otra mesa. Queríamos volver a Red Lobster, pero esto fue un gran accidente. Tan triste. ¿Dónde está la dirección?

Took my parents here for dinner and we all really enjoyed it. Very friendly staff, great service, reasonable prices. Would recommend the red snapper.
