The chips were cold and all deadends …Battered Burger was over cooked and batter burnt ….Looks like food had stood too long

For the second time, I have had reheated yesterday's chips. Despite asking if the chips were freshly cooked. Never heard the expression cheap as chips.

Moved to the area 5 weeks ago. First place we had a takeaway was here. Was a good price and fabulous tasty food. Great portions. Well recommend this chips shop.

We were welcomed inside as a large group and the staff kindly put some tables together so we could all dine as a family. They were very accommodating and friendly. The food was reasonably priced and there were clean plates all round! The cafe seemed clean and it was a nice environment for lunch. Only thing I would say was the fish was a little dry and you had to pay extra for sauces which does annoy me when the cost of four sachets could pay for a whole bottle.

Wonderful seafood freshly prepared before your eyes. Bought a load of seafood to eat on the train (whelks, prawns, lobster, herring) it was all amazing and good value too.

We thought we would try somewhere different and we were pleasantly surprised! The food was delivered within the hour and was warm when we had it. The only criticism is the pie was extremely dry and definitely not a pukka pie. Not much filling. The rest of the food was lovely. We enjoyed our delivery… Thank you!

I have been coming here for years it's always been amazing. Went in August then again tonight and it was horrible. I Won't be going again.

Chips not great c/onion pie was OK but very dry

Nothing really wrong with the service but I had the most disappointing fish and chip supper I’ve had in my life from this place this week. They used to do you a big box of crispy chips for £3, they were beautiful. Now every time I go here the chips are soggy and disappointing, might as well eat boiled potatoes instead. Fish was also completely bland. Standards need to improve like they were before. Very dissatisfied

Was on a away day in Cardiff but we stopped off in usk and this chippy was one of the best I’ve had gravy could have been thicker but that just me I love my gravy really thick but the food was beautiful

If you are at beach and never try fish & chips it mean you missed real fun but things different at Saltburn. Because this is the only fish & chips so customers haven’t choice but to face bad customer service and poor food.

I’m not sure what’s happened to this chippy but it’s really not what it used to be . The fish is so small and the chips seemed to be refried . Most of my portion was hard bits and it became cold quite quickly hence the reheating . Lovely people but I think they need to up their game and stop mixing old fried chips with new . It’s not cheap food anymore and people deserve fresh cooked . I hope it improves . Large should be large and small should be small . Change your fish supplier bec they are tiny . !!

Called in for Fish chips and curry. Fish was absolutely tasteless and the batter overcooked, chips were fairly tasteless and very soggy, no crispness whatsoever but worst of all was the curry sauce, it was really weird tasting, like no other curry I have ever eaten and slightly “floral” with a hint of Parma violets! The curry all went in the bin as did most of the rest! I’ll have cheese on toast for supper later.
