The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Seafood food

Now let me start by saying I’ve eaten at many Fish & Chips establishments in London and around the U.K, from the streets of Bristol, to the beaches of Kent, this spot certainly comes close to topping the lot. The service is 2nd to none, I don’t know what the servers name is, but he could see what I wanted and needed even before I’d arrived at the door. A cod and chips for £5.00 a pop, if that’s not a bargain I don’t know what is. I always thought a decent Fish & Chips would be £8+ in London, but these guys know how to tempt in a bargain hunter like myself. The fish was fried to perfection, with crispy batter and a fresh fleshy cod fillet which was delicious. The chips were also a real treat, with it coming in at a 9/10, which is truly a marvel I can assure you, not many chippys have achieved that rating. All in all, I would highly recommend Brixton Cod, cracking service, for a good price and unbelievable fried heaven - I’ll be back, I promise you that.

My local fish and chip shop has been used by me for years - not the best I have ever had but plenty good enough. The man behind the counter is fine if you speak to him.

Been living on the Isle of Wight for 6 years now and we went for a walk with family and decided to have lunch , we all agreed on on fish and chips and have to say it’s the best I’ve had on the island , lovely freshly caught fish and you could tell it’s cooked perfectly and very generous lovely indeed took me straight back to the 70s when I was a kid and my mum used to get the large filets from the fish monger for our Saturday treat homemade fish and chips .

Tuvimos la noche más fantástica en este fabuloso restaurante. Fui allí para celebrar el 30 cumpleaños de mi hija. No podríamos haber elegido un lugar mejor! La comida era genial, la decoración era fabulosa, los cócteles para morir (mejor martini expreso que he tenido) gran ambiente de fiesta. El personal era brillante y nos entretuvo toda la noche. Disfrutamos mucho de nuestra noche y nos divertimos mucho. No puedo recomendar este lugar lo suficiente.

J’ai passé un super séjour à Barcelone à l’hostel Blackswan. L’auberge est très bien située dans la ville proche de toutes commodités. Le personnel est vraiment parfait mention spécial à Loïc le québécois et Ismaël pour les soirées organisées dans les clubs ! Je n’oublierai jamais mon séjour merci à tous !

Ordered meals for 18 people for a family gathering. All came boxed and named. Delicious food, friendly service and a great price!

Llamé aquí esta noche por casualidad, ya que acababa de recoger a mi perro de la guardería y estaba conduciendo. Yo soy de Norfolk originalmente y aunque he vivido aquí por unos años nunca he sido capaz de encontrar un chippy decente como tenemos en Norfolk. Tuve eglefino y patatas fritas y una encantadora charla con el personal amable mientras esperaba. ¡OMG! , eran tan buenos. ¡Ahora te he descubierto que volveré!

A local gem. Generous portions, great value, fantastic value for seniors. No frills, just wholesome better than "as advertised" food!

I’m gonna start by saying that I’m not moaning about the food. It’s the best local fish and chip shop. The young lad who’s answering the phone, needs to listen. He asked me for my postcode (which I gave) and the food still got sent to my old address.luckily, still warm

Portions are generous, 5 of us shared 2 large & 1 small cod & chips & there were masses of chips left over. Ordered over the phone, so didn’t wait long. We all really enjoyed it, crisp batter, fresh perfectly cooked fish & tasty chips. As expected prices have increased but it was worth it. I will use Harley’s again, but confused as it says Stoby’s on the door

Went on sat 29/7/24 and ordered 2 haddock , chips & onion rings came to £17 which was very reasonable. Food was freshly made , piping hot & good portions. Haddock was excellent. Will definitely be back!

We saw the great reviews for this place and decided to go for our birthday lunch. Naturally the satnav took us round in a couple of circles, but we found it with two minutes to spare before our reservation time. There is plenty of space on the sloping carpark, and access for the less mobile is via a gently sloping ramp. The dining room itself is on one level at the top of the ramp, with absolutely gorgeous views out to sea and the headland towards Banff. There is a separate section, which is up a couple of steps, and which presumably just improves that view. The waiting area by the bar has comfy wingback chairs, and the dining area is furnished with dark wood tables, and chairs which are a mix and match of fabric and leather look material. The latter are a bit worse for wear but it looks as if they are on a rolling replacement system. The ambience is pleasant, the staff friendly and helpful, service efficient and reasonably fast. The menu is a delight. Spoilt for choice, but there is something for all tastes. You can download the restaurant and quick lunch menu to save me explaining further. I took the Cullen Skink Risotto. A thick soup with rice, obviously, topped with a beautifully poached egg, and crispy potato sticks. Gorgeous. He chose the Chicken Liver Parfait. I tried it. Chicken livers are not my scene, but this was rather good. He said excellent. For mains, he chose Beef Three Ways. All three were superbly cooked, according to him, but the little pie and the sauce stood out. I chose Duo of Pork, roast pork squares served on beautiful creamy mash with leeks, and braised savoy cabbage, plus a little pie, which was light, moist and awesome, topped off with nicely cooked veg and a lovely peppercorn sauce. We didn’t want puds but had to test them for research purposes! His ice cream was really good, but my crème brulee was something else, the custard beyond wonderful, and the sugar top simply defied belief So. Yes the views are superb, but the food beats them! Recommended!!
