Total rubbish fish is a quarter of a normal cod would not recommend this is obviously running on its old owners reviews

Deliciously cooked food. Love their saveloys - properly cooked in hot water - not deep fried in oi lmaking them all hard and dry. Chips lovely and crispy on the outside yet soft inside. Very pleasant staff and also offer a delivery service. By far the best chippie in Southwick and Portslade! Good prices too!

Well cooked fresh, tasty fish and chips at a reasonable price. Good sized portions. Served in cardboard boxes which was good as we didn't want any plastic or polystyrene. Large parking bay in road outside.

The best fish & chips in the area. Always cooked fresh on order, so may take 20 minutes, but worth the wait. They also deliver for an extra £1

Very friendly and helpful staff, always enjoy the fish and chips. They also do OAP meals which I believe are very reasonably priced.

been going there for some time now and yes you have to wait a little while for the food to be cooked, but the quality is excellent would recommend to anyone. staff are friendly and its well worth a visit.

Loved the fish and chips from here but unfortunately it as changed ownership ,the new owner is trying to please, the gossip is it’s her first venture. This Friday 13.11.15 we had to wait over a hour for our order during the wait the fish strainer was dropped on the floor instead of allowing her staff to wash it she grabbed it back stating it was it ok both the cod portions was under cooked and soggy so I am going to give it wide berth until I hear of improvements

Like JR'S Fish Bar a lot, but today I have been let down by what I got.i popped in to pick up a quick dinner for the kids of Savaloy& 2 sausages with a Large Chips to share between.not much I know.but the large chips didn't even make 2 of the dinners.what a let down.

We regularly use "Jr's consistently good quality and service, can't recommend highly enough. Fish is always perfectly cooked , they also offer a good range of kebabs, pies, burgers etc- curry sauce is fab !

Moved to the area last year and only just discovered this place and what a little gem it turned out to be. The fish was freshly cooked to order and was well worth the less than 10 minute wait. Crispy batter, not the thick stodgy stuff I found with other local chippys. Definately recommend a visit.

We use JR's regularly,it is far and away the best chip shop in town. Always freshly cooked and served efficiently with a good range of other take away food available as well.
