The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Seafood food

Great place to have fish and chips! The staff were welcoming and efficient! It’s also dog friendly too🐶! Our fish and chips came in no time and were freshly made and piping hot!! For £11.99, it came with bread & butter and a cup of tea. Will definitely return again!!

Have been here on several occasions previously which have always been good, however today was exceptional. Good beer on tap, enjoyable house wine, fantastic service and great food. Probably one of the best experiences we've had here. Lovely oysters to start, followed by whole wild seabass and whole shate wing, both locally caught. If you're not into fish there is plenty of alternative options on their menu too. I'm gluten free and I've always had plenty of choices in food options.

We stopped in here when we were at Whitby goth weekend. I'm always nervous about eating out due to a milk allergy but it was nice to see they had a vegan menu, it did have limited items but it was still nice to see somewhere that wasn't going to turn me into the exorcist. The server was really helpful and so lovely, I didn't get his name but he was the only server in there. Once I told him about the milk allergy he said he'd inform the kitchen which put my mind at ease. The food was absolutely lush, I had the lentil Ragu and those garlic potatoes were unreal. My OH had the fish and chips and he said it was amazing, and the mushy peas were the best he'd had. The quality was fab and the prices were very reasonable. Will definitely be returning next goth weekend.

Prijs voor een tournedos aan de hoge kant. 35 UK Pond voor 200 gram. Was niet echt 200 gram en ook niet op verzoek "rare". Vriendin had een "hake", dagmenu. Ging terug want was niet warm. Bediening wel attent. Akoestiek slecht. Verder best genoten.

Good food and atmosphere but pricey

Mis amigos y yo vivimos en Pickering y pensamos que teníamos garantizado un gran pescado y patatas fritas en Whitby. Desafortunadamente, llegamos a la única “tienda de pescado con papas fritas” en la ciudad que utiliza “aceite vegetal” - que se extrae a la fuerza con disolventes tóxicos como el hexano - y los resultados fueron secos e insípidos. Necesitas carne goteando para un pescado decente. Estudios recientes muestran que Ancel Keys nos mintió sobre las grasas saturadas en la década de 1950 - ¡ahora se sabe que es la opción más saludable!

Nice traditional fish and chips

Bones! On the expensive side when it comes to fish and chips however the portion sizes are generous. First time sitting in and when we have ordered before we have found fish bones in our fish, 3 or 4 every time. Thinking it was just bad luck the times we had take-out. However when we visited we found the fish to have 13, yes 13 bones. Raised to a member of staff who didn't seem too bothered or apologetic. Only raised as I thought the manager would like to know and re-train whoever does the prep work. Should never find bones if the prep person knows their stuff and does a thorough job. I hope the feedback will help improve standards going forward.

Nice place to get Fish and chips 🐟🍟

Today, my family and I had the most wonderful lunch at an amazing restaurant. We came all the way from SW Florida to support my sister on her health journey, and it was such a special time for us. The manager was incredibly attentive and immediately arranged for us to have a beautiful table upstairs. However, when he realized that my mother couldn't manage the stairs, he quickly set up a lovely table for us downstairs, complete with heaters to keep us comfortable. The atmosphere was so serene and peaceful, with beautiful flowers all around, even in the ladies' bathroom. The meal was delicious, and the service was absolutely fantastic. It was a truly memorable experience.

Avoid this pub. I live in the neighborhood. We went in for Sunday Roast. The two girls on staff clearly did not want to be there (who could blame them). We were the second table to order when the kitchen opened. We waited 75 minutes for food, and then we were told it would be another 30 minutes minimum. We couldn’t even get starters in less than 1h and 45 minutes. Staff was unapologetic, and told us we could leave and they would refund our food. So we left.

The fish was not good quality and was dry, but the worst was the batter. It was far too thick & uncooked on the inside. We ended up throwing it away. Expensive dinner for 2 fish, 1 chips & 1 curry £19.10 to be partially binned. Chips and curry sauce was ok.

Travelled 160 mile round trip to try deep fried salmon that I had read about. Saw white pudding on the menu and got that as well. With chips. 2 friends and my spouse as well really enjoyed the food. The owner was very friendly and jovial but not over the top. Had the tartar sauce as well. A lovely wee place with great food and service.
