Fabulous cocktails and great service from Aiden. Even though he was suffering from a Thai boxing injury, Aiden looked after us so well and kept us entertained while we enjoyed amazing cocktails and a fabulous view. Thank you.

I was taken for Mother’s Day to the Sunday lunch. A rather wet day and we were treated with a smile and a rose to celebrate being a mother. Had a lovely table by the window and the server was amazing explaining everything and what we should try. We took our little dog with us and they even brought his a doggy bowl and bed and a doggy menu. The atmosphere was great and the food was fabulous and the desserts well for someone who dosent eat desserts I have one of each! I really can’t fault anything even when we left and decided to have one last drink in the bar they came with the doggy bed for Rupert. Thank you for a lovely Mother’s Day

I went here to enjoy an afternoon tea with a friend and we weren't disappointed. The personnel was very professional and kind, ready to always give us assistance in describing the dishes and helping with the choice of tea. The selection of teas was very good and you can choose between two different types of afternoon teas: Asian or traditional British. We went for the Asian and it revealed to be a very good choice as the food was great and we got the chance to try a new type of afternoon tea, while keeping it grounded in the traditional elements of the experience. The friend who was with me needed a gluten free option which was served with no issues and was very tasteful in the same way as the non gluten free dishes. Plus we had a baby with us, and they easily accommodated us at a table with enough space for a stroller. Location is quite handy as walking distance from Liverpool station (situated at the second floor of the Pan Pacific) and the price (I think 45£ per person with a glass of champagne included) is very competitive when compared to other afternoon teas in the city. I would definitely recommend afternoon tea here and will surely go back.

We went for a milestone bday. Mondays are tricky days to find decent open restaurants in town. So tried straits. I’d said in my booking it was a birthday and can they give us a nice table and put a candle in a dessert (that we will buy from menu). I confirmed again when they called in the week before. Neither happened. We had to move table 3 times because they squeezed us next to the waiting station and nearly burnt off our hair with the flambés they do for the tables of travelling businessmen (only other guests) in the restaurant. Tbf it’s a business hotel restaurant. Waiting staff very friendly. But poor wine list / availability. Cold sides served with hot (very tasty) black cod is lazy. Very expensive and not good attention to detail. I asked to speak to manager when bill came as I didn’t want to not pay service and think it was waiting staff - they are the best part of the experience. 15 mins later the manager came. He nodded and “heard me” but asked for more detail so he “knows who to blame”. Luckily my partner enjoyed a delicious lobster laksa. In summary - for business travellers only.

As a guest if the Hotel we ate one evening. I must say it's good, just not exceptional. Something just misses the mark. Really friendly and they do a kids menu with non Asian items and I love that. I think it's a couples dinner venue and have eaten here before I loved the main dishes, the bean curd to start was ok and satay chicken was just fine. Having looked forward to the experience this turned out to be something of a let down with average food, average service and high prices. The dishes we had were barely authentic and lacking in favour, we lived in Singapore for 12 years and got better in local food courts for a fraction of the price. Will not go back

We attended to Sunday brunch with friends and had a wonderful experience. 85% of us, from hospitality field (GM, Head Chef, etc). Since the moment you enter the building, the experience starts. Professional and approachable welcoming, outstanding facilities, all look clean and sharp. Lovely greeting by restaurant reception team who precisely advised us how to approach a lovely Asian oriented Sunday roast buffet style. An experience! Presentation, taste, freshness of all items! Shrimps Laksa incredible! Along with champagne and prosecco. Really attentive and genuine service. Highly recommended for a different Sunday roast with friends or family in the city!

This was a return visit but our first review. The interior is lovely. We ate from the set menu which is amazing value anywhere but particularly in London. Typically a set menu contains cheaper meat or fish options but this was not the case. We also ordered the pork belly starter to share expecting the set menu portion sizes to be small but the pork wasn’t needed although it was really nice! The duck spring rolls were large and generously filled with duck which is rarely the case. The beef rendang was really tender. The waiting staff were good and I can only commend their approach to customer service. We will return.

Whilst I enjoyed everything I ate on the Sunday buffet menu, it is missing things like perhaps spring rolls, maybe dim sums and definitely missing sauces like black bean or curry for the meats as it all gets a bit dry. The dessert selection is fantastic and the staff are totally attentive and very polite. Lovely team!

I am traveling from California this was our first visit to London, me and my family had a wonderful evening, although the restaurant was overly crowded and it looked like a struggle we felt well looked after by waiter on duty he was outstanding, Canadian man. Recommended a selection of food for us which was tasteful and not too spicy, my wife and daughter will be returning on our next visit.

Very positive experience served by George tonight. We know about the good food but what surprised us is the very good customer services. We were welcomed by George’s professional attitude for taking in order with etiquette and very detailed introduction of the food we ordered. Surely made our day!

A very modern restaurant within the Pan Pacific hotel in the city. We were looking for authentic Singaporean food and as this hotel has a Forbes rating we thought let’s give it a try. As it was our first time we went with the set menu which is available from 5.30pm and we were not disappointed, every item was cooked perfectly and the taste transported me back as if I was dining at the Pan Pacific in Singapore. Our waiter George had a wonderful sense of humour and made us feel at home, he went through the various items before ordering and asked us what had brought us to the restaurant, we casually commented that my partner and I had been together 20 years so that was part of the reason plus the award that they’d just received. We both had a wonderful German white wine with our main that worked perfectly with the food. Our desert arrived and to our surprise the kitchen had added a little something extra for our 20 years together. It is with thanks to George who’d obviously passed our news on to the kitchen but a thanks must also be said of the team who’d made the experience one we will repeat.

I don’t normally write reviews but I wanted to leave a review for the excellent service we received when we dined at straits kitchen for my sister’s birthday. Special shout out to our waiter Ed who went above and beyond to accommodate our requests and definitely made it a night to remember. He definitely deserves to be employee of the month if not of the year. Thank you to all the staff. You were incredible.

Me and my friends were extremely happy with the experience we received, food and service was superb. Our waiter George was such a joy and made us feel so special. A special thank for Marina the manager, she was so polite and very friendly with a very high level of service provided. The whole restaurant was very well managed by her. We all got a great buzz about her. Thank you so much for the hospitality on such a high level.

This was the rudest place I’ve ever been too please don’t come here. Manager was awful and so passive aggressive. Staff talk down on us and the food was horrible! When we asked if we could change it and he spoke to us like we were dirt on his shoe. There has never been a worse experience than this. It was my birthday and everytime someone wanted to take a picture of me they said it was “disturbing the other guests” PLEASE DONT COME HERE absolutely ruined my birthday. And the worst part I even tried to take cute pictures in the bathroom and a male security knocked on the door of the toilet telling us to stop. I simply cannot believe this place.

This restaurant is inside the pan pacific hotel. Couple of points to consider. The Hainanese chicken is absolutely amazing. Extremely tasty and definitely recommend However the rest of the dishes are either of small portions or spicy so not that great for hubby and friend. Nevertheless it was good. However the manager has no idea how to deliver food. He reached across my friend couple of times and this is not what I expected from a place like this. Customer service was a bit patchy at times. Need some training.
