Service was excellent but the food was not great. Was cold upon arrival. Wok fried noodles were basic. Nothing special. Definitely not worth the price.

It’s still very good. There is a branch in Bangkok.

Booked a table for four on a Friday afternoon after we attended a graduation ceremony. We used to visit Patara quite often before the Covid outbreak… but we were all very disappointed with the low quality of food! The soft shell crab salad wasn’t fresh at all! The deep fried whole Seabass was very dried and also the green curry chicken looks & taste like it’s been cooked and reheated for a long time! Service was slow considering that they were not even busy. And we had to ask for our plain boiled rice twice before someone came back with our bowl of rice. A lot of the dishes weren’t even hot when they served it! This is no way a fine dining restaurant anymore, waste of our time and money. Won’t be going back. Very disappointed as it has definitely ruined our day!

Second time eating at Patara & each time has been very good as is the service. Not cheap but good value for this area of London

I traveled into London to meet a friend and we chose this restaurant to have something special. The food was absolutely delicious. The staff were all extremely friendly and attentive which made all the difference. I would highly recommend if you want to experience Thai fine dining

We flew from Milan, Italy to London for my son's birthday. We choose Patara for special bday dinner. We had a great experience here ,beautiful food, very delicious real Thai taste and excellent service. We definately come back here next time . Kob khun kaaa❤️

Had to wait for the table for about 20 mins even though we booked. Food was okay. Service was fine. The vibe needed a bit more music as the crowd was louder than expected.

Went for a friend's retirement. The food was amazing, beautifully served, fresh perfectly spiced so that the flavours are distinct. Service was helpful but non intrusive. This will be my go to place for Thai food.

Pretty good value for central London. Try the set meals to get a wide variety of dishes, all tasty and well presented and the mango salad was just devine! The only downside (hence 4 stars) was that the food was warm, nearly cold when it arrived. The staff were all polite and friendly, the place itself buzzed and had lots of energy. If you're looking for great Thai food in London Town, come here!

Good food and good service, starters were amazing, soups are nice not very sure if the main courses need a bit of seasoning, or looking after. All in all a good experience.

I liked the atmosphere and the excellent service. I ordered the chicken cashew with chestnut but the chickens smelled. It’s not cooked very well. When I was asked about the food, I explained to them that the chicken smells but everything else is tasty. They took it and re-heated and borough it back. Yet, the chicken is still smelly. It’s not cooked well at all.

Thai food for British people, not very authentic

The food was average the taste was not authentic

We were left for over an hour before we got the bill and still had to pay a 12.5 % service charge which is ment to be optional. It shouldn't be like America where you are expected to pay service charge without having the best service. Not the best place, I wouldn't go back again.

This chain has some of the best Thai food I've had in London. Highly recommend their chicken satay, Penang curry and the sea bass in lemon grass and lime. The Thai iced coffee and Thai iced tea were also great. Service was lovely.

Fantastic high end Thai food. Authentic and presented really well, the Beef Cheek Panang Curry being a particular stand out with ultra soft beef and creamy curry. The Satay and Calamari were also both excellent. Quick, friendly and attentive service throughout.

The best Thai in London and I’ve been going there for over 10 years. Only place that came close was the Blue Elephant but they are shut. It’s just a bit pricey, but hey that’s what u pay for excellent food and great service.

Our gracious host Napoleon in this Thai restaurant in Mayfair, London, made our dining here worthwhile. Excellent Pad Thai and Tom Yum soup. Highly recommended.

A lovely place to visit for Thai food. Plenty of options on the menu, including for vegetarians. The curry was flavoursome and they had one of the best tasting mocktails I’ve ever had! Service was quick and friendly although we had to wait a bit of time to pay. With a starter, main and drink, we paid about £45-50 each - so expect a higher price than your standard Thai restaurant. Would recommend.

Patara is one of my favourite restaurants in London. They also have one in Soho. Both are decorated beautifully and with a relaxing atmosphere. Food is good and service especially in the Oxford Circus branch is excellent.

Went in on a Thursday night in September, a reservation wasn't needed as it was quite quiet. We were welcomed warmly by a friendly Thai gent and seated quickly. The menu is Thai but tamed down for English tastes. The table staff were friendly attentive and knowledgeable. The portions were substantial, well done and presented well.

Fantastic place to eat Thai food, both service and food were on point! It is out first time here but we will definitely come back. We liked it so much that we suggested to the team (Napoleon) to open a branch in Canary Wharf! We ordered tom kha gai (chicken and mushroom soup with coconut), prawn lemongrass salad and beef Thai basil chilli with egg fried rice. All dishes were flavourful with good presentation and the service by Napoleon was friendly, professional and attentive.

My partner and I found this gem by chance on our way to The London Palladium. Stunning restaurant and outstanding food. Napoleon was a delight as were rest of the staff. Definitely will be dining there in the future.

The food here has always been upto high standard... I visited after a very long time and we were a big group of 14 and everyone loved the food. Highlights from the menu: sea bass in lemongrass sauce, lamb shank massaman curry, fish cakes, spring rolls... Can keep going!

Arrived without booking in a busy night but received full attention and Napoleon created a table for us. We've been to various Patara and Mayfair continues to be our favorite with fantastic food, Thai ice team (exclusive in London), and amazing services. Look forward to the next time.

It was okay... definitely not the Thai I remember from 15 years back. Menu is a little bland. Service is a little lax. And if you're packing anything to take with you, expect to be charged for the takeaway boxes! Preferred the starters - Papaya Salad & Corn Fritters were the best thing in the menu. Everything else just wasn't all that good. Shame as it's the one Thai place that I've been banging on about for years saying it's the best and it seems that's no longer the case. I would reluctantly return but only to order the starters...

The curry's we selected (Lamb Shank Massaman & Crab Yellow Curry) were excellent in terms of flavors. Really good! The Chicken & Prawn Satay skewers (starter) were extremely tiny. The satay sauce was very good, but quite expensive starter for the amount of actual food. The egg noodle with bean sprout was also very over priced. The coconut rice was very good. Overall, we would probably go back but better select our food to get a more efficient result.

Came here with my soon to be husband for our anniversary and the food was amazing. Brilliant service from all the waiters; special mention to Napoleon in particular, he made us feel welcomed.

The food was second to none and the whole experience was made better by our waiter Napoleon. He was courteous and extremely knowledgeable, our wine glasses were always topped up and we couldn't have asked for better service. The absolute best beef cheek panang that I've ever had in my life, I would live in it if I could. Can't recommend this place enough!

The food was good. The service was good too but the food did take a long time to come out. Also there was a mistake on one of the dishes with nuts so we had to send the plate back. I think I've had better Thai food but this was still pretty good. When it's all said and done, we did enjoy our meal and time there

When your customer simply wanted one bowl of rice to share between the two (we did order other items like fish, curry, and vegetables, so please calm the f down), any decent human being with acceptable customer service would not respond with, "No! That's not enough. One rice isn't enough." In response, I said, "I'll just order one more if that's the case. Thanks." However, guess what? She persisted and wouldn't leave until we agreed to order two bowls of rice. You should have displayed a sign stating a minimum of one rice per person for clarity.

Yes the food is good and the service is excellent but I'm just not sure it's THAT good to justify the prices. I've had similar food from delivery services so I'm just not sure if I'd go back.

Everything about this restaurant was great from the service received at point of arrival and throughout. The food was delicious - it was a job trying to choose as everything on the menu was enticing. It was my friend's birthday and they made it special for her by presenting her with a nice dessert and singing happy. We hadn't asked for this so it was a lovely surprise. The price is very reasonable, we had X2 bottles of prosecco and numerous cocktails, starters and mains for around £100 pp. Would defo go again.

I often visited Patara in Knightsbridge. I visited London for the first time in four years and the food taste is not the same as before. Especially, I couldn't eat chicken because it smelled bad.

Every part of the restaurant was fantastic the lunch menu was very worth it the portions were large and the quality was outstanding. The staff were polite and happy to help with anything. Thank you very much and I will be coming back again.

Starters were just okay but mains were nice. I don’t think it’s anything to write home to mum about but fine overall. For 3 starters, 2 mains, 2 rice; 1 pad Thai and 3 mocktails we paid £110. So not too bad.

Thai cuisine at its best - we had the most delicious set lunch, you can choose between some starters and mains, I had fried calamari and beef in a coconut sauce and my daughter's was Thai green curry - absolutely delish. Lovely service from Napoleon, he was very nice and welcoming. Thanks for such a lovely culinary experience.

Disappointing.chose this restaurant because of its lobster dishes only to find they have not had lobster on the menu in a while but they still advertise it!! The food we did have was rather flavourless. Asked for additional spice and was brought what tasted like ketchup. Would not recommend. You need to update your menu so as not to mislead the public. It was also rather expensive

Delicious Thai food, refined flavours, excellent service

Tastefully decorated Thai with very polite and professional service. Lovely food too, and not that expensive, despite the location. Our waiter had a great sense of humour, although he did say I reminded him of judi dench who is at least 20 years my senior!! Ha ha.

Food wasn't that tasty and came out cold, they serve the wrong drinks.. took the drinks away and was left without a drink while eating food.. staff were rude.. wouldn't really recommend..

Perfect. Authtically flavoured fusion Thai food, timely and respectful service, pleasant SE Asian influenced decor with subdued lighting and stairs to different levels and clean facilities in this centrally located chain restaurant. On the menu there are many reasonbly priced (this is the West End!) al la carte dishes to chose from and to suit all tastes as well as some well thought out set-menus including vegetarian and pescatarian choices. A selection of good wines, cocktails and beer was also available. This branch of Patara is well situated just west of Regents Street, perfect for a pre or post performance meal. We did book ahead but have read in other reviews that some have walked up and tables were available.

Chanced upon the place so walked in without booking. They put us in the very corner of the empty downstairs area. I reassured myself by thinking this was still a nice and quiet arrangement, but when two more groups arrived, they put them immediately next to us, while the rest of the tables were still empty. While it may be convenient for the servers, treating your customers as if they were cargos does not give them a sense of privacy or comfort. The remaining three stars are earned by the food, which although undercooked were still delicious. But I doubt I will visit again.

Horrible food. Chicken and lamb were both undercooked. The calamari was also chewy and stringy. My pint of beer was flat, like beer flavoured water. Would not reccomend! Went to mcdonalds for a cheese burger afterwards.

Service was literally bad. You have to call several times and staff will try not to make the eye contact. While ordering i asked there are several noodle dishes with chicken. I need any dish with fried rice and chicken. Can you replace noodles with rice in any which he said No and eventually brought just egg fried rice with chicken. By the way chicken was boiled and terrible. The best thing was crackers.

Extremely busy days before Christmas. Not booked but just fitted in very well. Superb Thai food from people who care. You won't be disappointed.
