Seaworld Fish Bar in Hertsmere

Wake up its rubbish and I mean rubbish! Had a delivery to my daughters house while staying in Norwich lots of people have said don't bother it's not good, but I thought know I will give it a go and yes it's crap! Stone cold full of grease went in the bin, a message to the owners why are serving people this it's not good, wake up or close down!

Best chips ever, crispy crunchy could eat them every day. Sausage in batter the best I've tasted, fish great. Had veggie burger loved it. Highly recommended. You will not be disappointed

took my money and delivered no food. when i called the restaurant they told me to f**k off. please do not order from these thieves. BE WARNED

They have a very good and tasty food that reminds me of the one in my country, and with very friendly staff.

Three weeks into social isolation and we were desperate for fish and chips! Having discovered that Seaworld were one of the few places open, I phoned in an order for cod goujons in matzo meal and a lot of chips. The meal was absolutely delicious.... I have never had crispier, less greasy food. There was barely a grease mark on the paper and the chaps serving were friendly and efficient. Haven’t been before but will definitely return. And thank you for staying open during these worrying times.

Absolutely vile food, chicken was raw a good vet would have got it clucking again, will be reporting to environmental health!!

Moved to the area in 2012. Have tried golden plaice (6/10 - bit greasy), borehamwood fish and chips (5/10 - hit and miss with the fish) and was happy. For some reason tried this place and have never looked back. The fish is almost always fresh, the staff are impeccable (one of them even delivered my take away for Deliveroo because their driver was too busy and it would’ve taken too long!) and the prices are decent. My wife has the doner kebab and says it is really lovey. I can’t recommend this place more highly.

Had a chicken kebab , it was so tasty and lots off chicken and salad for the price it was so tasty .I recommend Seawor , for a local chippie outstanding

Never used this particular establishment before ALWAYS go to Cowley Fish Bar in Hartforde Road but was visiting relatives and this was the nearest fish and chip shop. The rest of the family had kebabs, not a lover myself I chose cod and chips-BIG mistake! The batter was SOOOOOO thick and unchewable I had to remove it all before I could tackle the fish inside. The fish itself was ok but was so small compared to the huge size of ultra thick nasty batter. The chips were actually quite tasty-no complaints there. Such a shame will not be going there-or recommending this eater any time in the future. Shop was clean and the staff were friendly enough. Get the batter- right-suggest they try Cowley Fish Bars batter it is light crispy and delicious-they really could learn a thing or two from them!

We had not been there in ages and were recommended after it has changed hands. Went tonight and had one of the best fish meal ever! We had food for 6 people and the portions were huge. The best cod, superb fish cakes, delicious calamari, amazing double cooked chips - fresh and yummy all round. The shop is spotless and the staff were very friendly We are real converts now and will cease going to the one in the high street - we will pop round to manor way from now on.

Went to this Fish and Chip shop a few weeks ago. The shop is lovely a clean. Very friendly staff and good size portions of fish and chips. The choice on their menu is quite extensive.

Under new management - (6 months) - both fish and especially the chips - Triple fried - are very crispy and yummy - always advise to go for fish in the very crispy batter - had once in Matzo Meal - and came out a little dry - friendly and attentive staff - shop appears to be kept very clean

The best fish & chip shop in the Amersham and Chalfont area. I have been a regular visitor to SeaWorld for several years and have never been disappointed. In keeping with most fish shops they also sell Pukka pies, king size sausages and saveloys etc. The food is freshly cooked and the staff very friendly. There are tables so you can eat in with enough room to take the family. Much, much better than other in the area.

Este fish and chips ha sido recientemente renovado a un buen nivel. El pescado y las patatas fritas eran recién cocinado. Había una buena variedad de menú y que incluía platos vegetarianos. Hay un menú para niños que estaba razonablemente precio razonable. La gente era amable y muy atento. No he estado aquí en un rato y me sorprendió gratamente en el cambio que ha ocurrido y de nuevo en el futuro. Hay un amplio aparcamiento fuera de la tienda. Cuando abrió las patatas fritas eran impresionantes, pero he notado recientemente cuando el jefe no está in situ que parecen ser sentado por mucho tiempo y muy seca y recocida. Por favor no dejes tus estándares, debido a que este es un lugar increíble con excelente comida.

Golden Plaice has been the king of Fish & Chips in Borehamwood for a while. Synonymously known far and wide, and even having won renowned awards.

my first visit to day as i have heard good things about this fish and chip shop .. the shop looked very clean and tidy ... the staff was very friendly and helpfull ,, the only down side this fish was very oily the chips tasted yummy they had a great taste , i will be back ,,

The chips are 3 cooked so crunchy and fluffy in the inside and they gave us a Christmas card on my last visit before Christmas

Just round the corner from me. Great value for money and offer more than just fish and chips. such a clean place and cheap but cheerful food.

This is the best fish and chips locally in borehamwood. Used to go to one on the high street (if you live locally you'll know it) as there were always queues outside the door, so assumed it was good, but realised that the amount of grease in all of the food just wasn't normal, so started going further afield to somewhere in Radlett, whee the food was soooo much nice, but then this establishment opened and is much nearer and I think it may be owned by the same people, so would never go anywhere else again! The food is made to order (the one on the high st just has stacks of cooked fish sitting waiting to be bought), which does mean waiting around for 10 mins or so, it isn't dripping in oil once you get it home, and that includes the chips, they just taste so much fresher, like they're cooked in fresh clean new oil every time, and have a dryer taste rather than the soggy wet taste of other chip shops. The portions are also great - a large portion of chips between 2 people is too much, but yet we can't bring ourselves to try the small bag between us just in case it isn't enough, the chips are too good to take that risk! Last comment, I think this may be slightly more expensive than other fish and chips, but is definitely worth the extra couple of pounds!

went for takeaway fish & chips the food was amazing ordered large cod chips & sausage in batter the portions was massive the food was fresh hot and delicious will defiantly be using this takeaway again highly recommend to others to try it

No beating around the bush, this is some of the best fish and chips I've eaten.The fish was moist, batter crispy and the chips, oh the chips! Fantastic!The place is bright and clean and the staff extremely friendly.Highly recommended.

First time I have been here since they reopened with new management. I have to say very good in all ways. I ordered way to much expecting the chips not to be that plentiful, wow was I wrong. The large chips was huge and at a really good price. I have the large Cod at £5.50 and that was one of the biggest Cods I have had. The chips were crisp and golden and fresh as was the fish. The staff were pleasant, my two daughters who were with me today were given lollipops by one of the members of staff, which was a nice personal touch. I would be coming back here again that is for certain.

Ótimo restaurante, comida super saborosa, porções fartas e atendimento atencioso. Recomendo para uma refeição boa e com preço justo.

I can't rate this place highly enough, the staff are friendly and have a great attitude. I wouldn't go anywhere else. They have a great menu and are generous with there portions. My wife and I went there when it first opened and we keep going back.
