overall a sound little chippy staff was nice few young lands served me waited at least 15 mins for my food tho but lengers chips made up for it overall decent jegor really nice

Absolutely amazeballs! Honestly cannot praise this place enough, great customer service with young staff which were lovely towards me and spoke with real kindness didnt quite catch the name of the young lad but had short brown hair but can only describe my visit as incredible. Food was also cooked to utter perfection and at good prices. Emma over and out.

i was feeling a little peckish so i thought i would pop into the huncote fish bar for a light snack the chips looked so scranalishious i had to buy three bags of large chips,4 cod,1 pineapple fritter, and a tuck burger with a surprising of 2 pound anyway hoping this family business continues as ill be definitely be coming back love john.

I've been to Huncote Fish Bar about half a dozen times in the last couple of months when visiting my parents, and I have always found the fish and chips at least good and usually excellent. The fish portions are very generous, and the standard portion of chips is enormous (I wouldn't dare ordering the large - I'm not sure I'd be able to carry it, let alone eat it.) I've also always found the staff friendly and welcoming. There is usually a wait, but that's because they care to cook the fish to order rather than doing a load and keeping them warm (which is never as good as freshly cooked). It's about as good a chippy as I've been to away from the coast, and Huncote is lucky to have it.

Disappointed to find after travelling a 6 mile round trip and a que that didn't warrant a 25 minute wait ie 4 people and the staff were obviously disgruntled to be serving the customers . Then on returning home to find some of my order missing not the best!!

Original owners are back and what a difference! Chips are delicious and the place looks so clean and tidy. You can tell they have real pride in producing good quality food and in their business. We live opposite this chippy and for a couple of years we hardly used it because the chips were so bad and the service was poor. Frustratingly we would drive to other villages instead. Can happily say Huncote chippy is now back at the top.

I am so glad the original owners have come back this year. Been to a variety of fish and chip shops in Leicester but Huncote is by far the best. Good quality food, friendly staff and very clean.

We have a variation of Chicken Nuggets and Kebab Meat & Chips most Wednesdays. Chicken nuggets are almost as good as Mcdonalds, we really enjoy them, nice and crispy, not greasy. We also really enjoy Kebab meat & chips. Portions are always generous, we've never managed to eat it all. Again not greasy and really enjoyable. Tried a mini fish this week and was pleasantly surprised. The batter was not too crispy, fish was not greasy. Usually I would only eat half, but before I realised I'd almost eaten it all. Will definitely have again. Really enjoyable and prices reasonable too considering food is for four people.

The food is nasty kebabs are u undercooked fish os overcooked chips taste like your chewing nails. I was starving and still tasted like crap god knows what would of tasted like if wasnt starvin

This is by far one of the best chippy’s in Leicester! If good value, service with a smile and quality food is what you’re after then this is the place for you. This establishment is a great family run business who do a lot for the local community. I look forward to my next visit.

Have been going in here every now and then since it was taken over. It was never as good as the previous owners but it wasn't too bad. I had not been in for a few months and when I did return I noticed the portion sizes have been reduce by a good 25%. Even the doner kebabs are smaller. Chips not only mean portion but they were horrible. Really hard and dry but also raw in parts. I won't be going back. Will use Narborough chippy in future.

I am a regular customer at this chippy and can honestly say I have never had any issues. The food is always fresh, customer service is second to none and the members of staff build rapport with customers.

Nothing wrong with the service or the standard of food. Wide range of choice. Been a few times and aways have to wait for chips guess I know there fresh.
