Tried to charge us too much. When we challenged it, he tried to make out it was a mistake. I think he was hoping ww wouldn't notice. Beware of the service also!!!

Middletons Steakhouse & Grill in Leicester is a fantastic dining spot! We had lunch there last night, and it was an amazing experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, the staff were attentive, and the food was exceptional. It is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Wow, myself, my partner (who has been a few times before and speaks very highly of this place) and my son ventured out for a meal here today and the food really is incredible. We ordered the Middletons Butchers Board and again, wow. We asked for the meats to be cooked to the chef’s recommendation and honestly, the food speaks for itself, beautiful. The venue itself is incredibly well thought out, all staff were polite and thorough in their service, the cocktails were beautiful (especially the passion). I could not recommend this place enough, compliments to the chef 👌❤️

Haven’t been here for a couple of years but when I last visited I can honestly say it was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. A bit different this time. The steak was too grisly and although cooked well it hadn’t been rested long enough. The cesar salad was just chopped up iceberg lettuce with a sprinkling of cheese. Food was disappointing which is a shame as the staff and service were excellent.

Me and my friend absolutely loved our experience we had here! We were served by Daniel and Ned, who were both so lovely and friendly, so thank you both so much for the unforgettable experience! The atmosphere was lovely, the decor in the restaurant was lovely, and my friend had a steak cooked to perfection! Definitely recommend this place, and will definitely be going back to this place!

Even on a quiet night the service here tonight was fantastic. Naomi was nothing but perfect in her serving us. A huge credit to you. The food was as good as the service.

In my opinion this place is very over rated... premium cocktails are on offer however they do not taste premium and completely miss the mark... our meal was pre ordered and still took a long time to arrive, we had to ask several times to be served drinks as the attention was not there also the desserts we had to ask 40 minutes after our main plates were taken away... for the price you pay I would have expected the service to be alot better... the food on the other hand is nice but again a but more attention to detail wouldn't have gone a miss

Yes .. very enjoyable luncheon with my friend Willow, we had the 3 Courses Menu ..The Cauliflower Curry 🍛 was way too Sweet 🎂 for my taste buds, told the waiter who quickly asked me if I'd like to choose an alternative, so I decided on the veggie cheeseburger 🍔 which was spot on ..We dined @ 12:15pm which meant we had the entirety of the beautiful restaurant to ourselves ..It was heavenly 🎶This was my second visit here ..Cannot Wait for meh' 3rd ..Just keep doing what it is your so good dam good @ guys .. Beautiful place, with friendly service. For the price of the food, the meal was below my expectation. Had the 16oz dry aged ribeye with the peppercorn sauce. The flavor profile of the meat and sauce was on the bland. Ordered the steak medium rare, and it was cooked to temp, but it was a tough steak. I would possibly go back but would not order a steak again.

Had my sons 18th birthday party in this place and was so perfect. The manager Mr D. Is a gentleman. Very friendly and understanding. Making sure everything is going on well. I salute you Mr manager. The food was so yummy. The staff were friendly but abit slow hopefully they will improve, big up to Murure one of the staff member who was looking after us forgive me if a spelt your name wrongly. We enjoyed our meal very much. Food arrived quickly, staff were really friendly. Had a bit of a chat with one, and he told us about the history of the building as it was an old bank.

I'd passed Middletons plenty of times (it's hard to miss, being a fairly grand building) but only saw their lunch menu recently. Bottom line, I'm very glad I finally visited. The food was of a very good quality; we had the creamy mushrooms with sourdough and the beef croquettes as starters with a chicken Caesar salad and fish and chips to follow. Delicious, surprisingly good at the price point of £13.95 for two courses. I could name a good few places in Leicester that offer much weaker options for more money. The staff were very welcoming as we were welcomed by every member of staff we passed as we walked to our table. The waiters were friendly and the chef was very cheerful, serving us food himself and seeming to take a real enthusiasm in his work. For two courses, a mocktail, a coffee, and service (well earned), it came to just under £20 each. For a lunch of this quality in such a central part of town, that's great value. I'd happily return for lunch or dinner.

We recently had the pleasure of enjoying a delightful bottomless brunch at Middletons in Leicester to celebrate our first anniversary. The two-hour experience was fantastic as the staff, especially Julia, were lovely and provided attentive service. My wife and I savoured the delicious burger and steak, and the special anniversary brownie with strawberries was a delightful touch. We were also impressed by the variety and quality of drinks, including the bottle of prosecco and six well-made cocktails each. Overall, it was a memorable and enjoyable experience that we would highly recommend.

Came for a meal - was nice relaxed atmosphere - was waited on quickly and efficiently. Food was spot on- cooked to perfection!

We have eaten here 3 times. The meat dishes were good, in particolar the Wellington fillet. However we do not suggest the fish and chips because the portion was very small for the price Good atmosphere and kind service. .

Booked our wedding meal at Middletons from the start Julia looked after us and made the pre order easy and were so accommodating, the food was amazing and the service was fantastic the drinks kept flowing, it was a great night. We visited to try the lunch set menu. Really tasty garlic mushrooms and croquettes followed by an excellent steak baguette. Lovely historic building and good service from Duane. We'll definitely return

Duane provided us friendly and welcoming service for our anniversary dinner. Him and the kitchen surprised us with a lovely surprise on our desserts. Reggie was our drinks server for the night and provided us quality service, and amazing drinks. Both Duane and Reggie made tonight one of the best nights we’ve had.

I booked my graduation dinner at Middletons, and the service was amazing! The food was so good we came back two days later. Both times we were served by Joe B, who was soooo attentive to our needs and he constantly kept checking whether everything is okay. There were about 17 of us, but he had no problem with making sure all was good for everyone, which we truly appreciate. 12/10!🌟

Love this place! The building and atmosphere is gorgeous. Our waitor, Duane, was lovely. We had fish, steak, and some cocktails. The strawberry daquiri was sooo good!! The food was deifnitely worth the price. My partner said the steak was the best he ever had before.

Nice experience, grand building, pleasant staff, steak was cooked just right, beef wellington was made perfect though there is a 40 minute wait, No complaints.

Starters were good. Mains were good. Apart from the steaks were all overcooked we asked for rare and got WD. One of the steaks also tasted gone off and inedible, it had a really bad taste of blood even though it was well done. The service was very poor, group of young boys who were not very attentive we had to constantly get up to get their attention, had to ask for plates to be cleared, drinks, sauces etc. Such a shame as such a lovely place, but staff were so unbothered when you would think they would be so attentive in a place like this, we never take off service charge however it was definitely worth it! It was for a 21st birthday so we were all in high spirits too, and didn’t come in with any intentions to have a bad meal!

We went early in the evening so the restaurant was a bit empty, but we had a lovely dinner. The food was a delicious and the service was very fast. Our waiter Joe was lovely and even brought out a brownie for my brother as it was his birthday. Definitely recommend

For a steak house to serve tough and undercooked steak is pretty poor. No atmosphere and only one member of staff serving.

Amazing location with food cooked to perfection. A surprisingly wide selection of menu items with high consistency in quality, presentation and taste. Service was great and accommodating with prompt service.

Food incredibly mediocre; undercooked vegetables to the point of being raw; abysmal portions of chips served in a little pot - and to add insult to injury they place paper inside to prop up the already tiny portion. Ordered off the main menu but went tesco after as was starving. Filthy glasses that have finger prints all over including the rim, and water marks; dirty seating; filthy bar (I witnessed a bar tender use his hands to scoop ice into a glass with his fingers firmly planted around the rim of the glass! And so consequently his palm inside!), staff making iced coffees in the cocktail shakers and drinking out of them. Dirty neglected toilets. I'm guessing it's above their station to do toilet checks once in a while. Annoying waitress pushing me to download the middleton's app while I was trying to eat. Chef's shouting and snarling. Boring atmosphere. Plus you'd never know who the manager was as the place and it's people are devoid of character. Based on who the manager likes personally as well I've heard. And so basically who gets all the hours. No wonder most of the staff look miserable. The new manager, duane is exceptional. What the place needed 👌

The food is always nice here although I find it a little overpriced. I think the thing that lets this place down is the service. It’s very slow, minimal and a service charge is automatically added. I went to the bar myself to order a shot after our meal, and they even charged a service charge for that. Of course you can ask to take it off but some people find that uncomfortable.

This was our first visit to any Middletons as it was convenient for us attending a lecture in Leicester. The food was excellent and served quickly we were sorry that we did not have time to sample the deserts. Our enjoyable experience was further supported by Julia who was most attentive to my wife’s mobility problems, and could not have been more helpful. We were most pleased to see you have a restaurant in Milton Keynes which we will now visit and hope it gives us the same experience.

Stunning building inside but the food does not match the visual experiance. I would say its on par with ordering a steak from a weatherspoons. Many of the fancy lighting elements where either not working or flickering 5 or so lights. Cutlery was was bent and steak knives dull. It's just an OK kinda of food place. The pork belly starter was tasty I will say that but food is not worth the cost here.

The food there was amazing with many options to offer. The staff there was complimentary. The atmosphere was very when inside.

The food was ok we had the unlimited steak but found it took along time between them bringing more out they seemed to use a lot of salt and a lot of garlic. We struggled to order more drinks to the table as the waiter always seemed busy elsewhere. There wasn't much of a atmosphere which is a shame as its a lovely building.

My first time eating there, wasn’t overly impressed. Firstly we ordered and the starter came out within a couple of minutes, that says to me it isn’t cooked to order, we then asked for a decent break before the main course but same again that came out pretty rapid, we ordered chateaubriand it tasted nice nice but was cut along the grain to make the slices look bigger because they used small pieces of fillet. Lastly I ordered the chocolate fondant that was over microwaved, it was basically a chocolate sponge, no chocolate came oozing out when I cut into it. A very disappointing experience, very rushed

First time here, and loved it . Beautiful building that still has the old ornate style and feeling of the Bank building it used to be . Lovely atmosphere, very efficient staff and good food . Try it out sometime.

Me and my partner came here for our anniversary meal and I cannot praise Joe enough for his service and his handling of an a situation that happened while we was dining. He is a star employee and made our night so good. We will be back again to see Joe please pass on our thanks.

Lovely restaurant, great atmosphere and lovely food.

Service was excellent as there wasn't to many people in the restaurant. Scallops for starter was disappointing as they were only 3 x very very small ones. Had the sirloin for mains which I asked to be cooked medium but was cooked rare as there was lots of blood on the plate. Apart from that it tasted ok. They automatically add 10% on bill for service charge but you can get it removed.
