Moved from brum this is the best place ever I have tried. The fish is amazing

A late delivery due to technical errors but good still top quality and drivers always spot on and honest

We have food from here once a week, fantastic

Don't order the tandoori chicken wrap meal because I want them all to myself. Can't get enough of them. Really tasty meat, fresh crunchy salad, and the bread is delicious. Comes with a sauce of your choice, plenty of proper chip shop chips and beans gravy or curry sauce. Obviously you can also get everything you'd expect from. A traditional chippy too. Excellent service reasonable prices see you soon millennium

I think that just says it all doesn’t it that speaks for itself that is absolutely disgusting you would serve stuff like this at your chip shop and not to forgot your food taste disgusting

Not too happy with how this fish and chippy has gone in the past years. Used to be one of the best in Leicester 3-5 years ago. Chips are hot but still taste frozen and crunchy. Shouldn't be messing up your main food.

Absolutely one of the worst Chippy’s I have visited. Ordered large chips got barley enuff for 2 small plates! Curry sauce clearly been watered down and was tasteless! Kebab doner meat like rubber terrible, infact absolutely shocking! Times must be hard when you are watering down curry sauce and not offering salt n vinegar for the chips… Give up guys it’s clearly not working!!!👎🏽

Have always used Millenium but today’s experience was rubbish ordered large fish got smaller than mini fish chips where cold and doner meat like rubber terrible experience prices are terrible too

Received a delivery, it was not what I have come to expect from millennium fish bar, fish had very thick batter not cooked and very greasy , too hide the fact that the fish was very small, the chips were so greasy that you could squeeze the grease out, this is not the kind of food I have come to expect from them, so will not be ordering again, plus very expensive,.

Ordered a wrap the donor meat was hard cold and I could of used it has a belt I won't be returning if you do go make sure you see them slice it fresh not from the tray

Sat afternoon got served this rubbish Chips rock hard and the bottom of the pie unbeatable, went by the reviews on here what a mistake 😑 ill try post a picture 📸

Without a doubt the best chippy in the area. The lunchtime meal deals are great value as well. New gyros are delicious 😋

Stood waiting for 10 minutes whilst 1 member of staff served and the rest stood talking behind the counter. Then when I ordered I was told I would have a further wait whilst they cooked the fish! When the food eventually arrived, it was awful and very expensive.

Only chip shop I use on saffron lane, never had a bad meal from there.

Awful! They’re using old, rotten potatoes. Chips were black inside had to be thrown away. They must see they’re black before frying..

It's a fish and chip shop, nice and clean food is at the better quality end of the market, chips dry but that's the potatoes!

Most chip shops are about the same but this one tops the lot.

6pm on a Tuesday night had to wait for chips, but that's ok, but what I thought would be fresh chips turned out to be refried from another day and the fish was full of small bones. Now normally the food I'd good but it's put me of going back.

Spot on the staff were nice I did a delivery there and decided I wanted food and wow nice portion and great taste not bad price thanks

1st time tonight. Amazing. The best fish and chips for a long time. The chips were perfectly cooked, all brown and proper, not white like they shouldn't be. We also had SF chicken which they cooked specially for us. Fab. The staff were great too. Thankyou.

This is my regular chip shop, chips are usually very good, pies, fish, southern fried chicken nice too. Prices are reasonable and the staff will often make suggestions for you to get a better deal. Service is down to earth and friendly.

We ordered through Just Eat. There was a missing item from the order, and we'd reported that another item was cold. We reported it via the app. Ten minutes later the doorbell rang, and they'd sent a piping hot replacement and the item that had been missing. Great service and lovely chips! 😁

I have always found the millennium fish bar to be very good quality and delivery until today. I ordered a meal and received confirmation for 110 minutes delivery, after waiting I rang to see where my Order was and was told it was next to come out for delivery. Obviously I was not happy and told them to cancel the order, they did say they were busy My point is you should not accept orders if you cannot deliver the service I’ll just wait to see if I get my refund

Food was awful. Very greasy and almost cold when it arrived. Had to wait nearly 2 hours for delivery also. Wont be having food from here again!

Chips disgusting and batter soggy peas like water

Been going here since it opened. Food is always clean and fresh. Which is why this guy has been here 20 years. Don't go anywhere else on saffron lane.

First time I've ordered and was not impressed as the battered sausages and fritters were alright but the chips tasted like they had been reheated. On website it says minimum order £12 but I had to order £15 worth to get delivery and then they go and forget my curry sauce. Was not happy having my food without sauce. Will not order again.

Typical Leicester chip shop serving refried chips, doubious tasting kebab meat that had been reheated numerous times ive had softer beef jerky, in a pita that was shown the grill for 30 seconds. Should be ashamed to run such establishment yet another chip shop added to my stay away list that I share with family friends and colleagues🤢

We travel from Shropshire to all of the LCFC games and always have a fish & chip tea at Millenium Fish Bar before every night game. The food is always cooked to perfection and is always tasty. The staff are friendly & obliging.

Chips are a bit tiny and full of black bits.

I've been going to millennium for past decade and it ceases to amaze me. I've been to the two chip shops in Monsell and I can hands down say that they don't even measure to the quality of food served from here. I mean what kinda chip shop doesn't serve scratchings!? I will never go to any other chip shop as I'm usually in the Saff/Monsell area and I will continue to pledge my allegiance to the greatest chip shop in Leicester. Tasty food and awesome staff.

Had a couple of pizzas as well as chips and they were awesome. The staff were excellent and the menu is very good.

Stopped off to treat family to fish and chips as they were visiting, hadn’t had fish and chips in ages. Popped in staff were great really friendly, even helping each other out which is nice to see. Had small fish and chips plus large. So many chips couldn’t eat them all. I know it’s not there fault but so much of the tea was stuck to paper it spoilt the look when dished it up is only down side

Usually order from here quite regular ...unfortunately today we ordered and it came stone cold rang and told them ... they sent new kebab which was half the size ... ordered a large got a small (if that) ... lost a weekly customer

As a customer of millennium fish and chips of when it opened. I am sad to say that of recent times the chips have really gone downhill. Today my chips were super greasy and looked like they are severely overcooked. Last time they were super skinny chips and not at all like chip shop chips and before they were undercooked. Pretty sad times if I have to start being a customer of an alternative fish and chip shop because your food is so erratic. Before and on occasion you were 5* and now it's more like 2*.

Very nice food, the staff are usually nice and welcoming here too. Not really had a bad thing from there before. They have some great meal deals too. Very good value for money. Would recommend.

We were in Melton and fancied fish and chips we were told by friends to try Nickos but that was closed so we came here what a delight piping hot and fresh lovely white fish and the best chips I have had in a while we will certainly be returning as we visit Eye Kettleby quite a lot

The food I got from this place this afternoon was truly disgusting, the jumbo sausage must have been cooked night before and reheated solid!!! curry sauce was more like water sauce hardly use this place Definatly will not use again how hard is it to cook a jumbo sausage and mix curry sauce paste to the correct amount of water very disappointed for a simple sausage n chips afternoon chippy run.

In town for the market and stumbled upon this gem. They were full but the manager found a spot for us. Not fancy but the fish was great!

We have used Millennium fish bar for a while now and they are always very nice. The food isn't greasy, the portion sizes are great and the prices are good. If you fancy fish n chips it's worth a visit.

Great chip shop! Hadn't been in for a couple of yrs and still the fish and chips were just as good,my boyfriend has been in twice already this week for the small pizza n chips deal 😁.its a very busy shop so its good to see plenty of staff so you don't have to wait long

Food is great and we'll priced. It's always busy there so they must turn their stock round fairly quick which explains why their food tastes so nice and fresh.

The first place I head to after going to football. Chicken donner wrap from here is out of this world. Plenty for the price and in my opinion the best in the city. Made myself hungry now.

We travel a long way to get fish and chips from here as they are the best we have found in Leicester. Used to use Bucks but Millenium has MUCH nicer batter on the fish and chips are always fresh. Do not get confused with the chip shop down the road near Tesco though... we went there for the first and last time after finding some kind of bodily hair, either pubic or from a chest in the food. Can recommend lunch menu, mini fish and chips is about £3 and good portion too!
