The best restaurants serving Scottish food in Central Scotland

We were lucky enough to be able to book for New Year’s Eve lunch, and what a superb experience. The setting is magical, the food excellent and the staff excellent. Already looking forward to when I can return.

The best meal I’ve ever eaten. Absolutely outstanding. We went here whilst on holiday to celebrate my partners birthday. We wanted a special meal and wow did we get it. The restaurant is beautiful and intimate and right in the heart of Oban so very easy to walk to. Sitting at the chefs table watching him cook and hearing about how he sourced ingredients and about the local area was lovely. The food was indescribable it was simply stunning. We are still talking about the venison and scallops a week later. If you want something a little bit different and special this is it. We will definitely be back.

Fabulous food, some of the best food we have eaten in a long time. Warm friendly welcome from the owners and relaxed dining in comfortable surroundings. Will definitely go again. Great value for the money.

Amazing food and atmosphere. The manager, Edwin came to our table to check on everything. and was so nice and genuine. Brandon, our waiter was attentive and very personable. The food exceeded our expectations! We only had about a 15 minute wait and trust me ...it's worth any wait that you have!

Me and my wife went out for dinner and we had an amazing time and food. The place was very lovely, staff were fantastic and the food was to die for. We are definitely coming back. Highly recommend it

Value for money with sitin as an option. Jumbo sausage is two big sausages and loads of chips too.

We were accommodated without a booking even on a busy Thursday night. We were offered the special deal but didn't really think there was a real saving. We had the haggis bonbons (ok but heavy); a delicious prawn dish; lovely albondigas; tasty, but small, smoked salmon and sour cream on breads;

Pulled in as fancied a drink, and really glad we did! View of castle spectacular and the place itself was just so lovely! Had a coffee, hot chocolate and some cake, was so relaxed and welcoming, and loved the music. Could have literally sat in there for hours just looking out the window. If you are in the area please go in!

I can really recomend both the food and the accomodation at The Craigs Hotel in Callander. We had a lovely stay with a genuine indian dinner, dinner was excellent! friendly staff, in a well looked after hotell. Thankyou from us Lena Hadal and Tim Carter

A friendly cafe with parking on the edge of town. Mostly a silver haired, or quasi religious clientele. There are mostly sandwiches and snacks with a few hot food options for lunch like fish and chips, scampi. My fish was very fresh but took a while to arrive. Selex service is fine but finding a table was hard with all the wrinkles lingering and nattering over their tea. You won’t like this place if you are agnostic….

Great breakfast, good choice (even for vegetarians/vegans) and friendly helpful staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast - next time we might even try the breakfast cocktail …

We had an amazing experience yesterday at the Old Manse of Blair. It is a beautiful old building, the staff were brilliant and the food was excellent. Would recommend the experience.
