Absolutely first class service in the carvery. So convenient being opposite the train station.

Used this place for kebabs since 2000 with previous owners. The current owners were ok to start with. But after getting a lamb Shish tonight I can only say it was almost unedible. Dry, burnt. Zero flavour. I will never eat from here again. Lamb Shish is supposed to melt in the mouth. Taste juicy with flavour. I would give this place a zero. Their salad is good but who wants to pay £20 for a salad!

Good food, reasonable price friendly fella doing the cooking and serving, I'd go there again.

We go here every couple of years on a whim and always enjoy the food and friendly service, as well as the interesting conversations from the other tables. It's a bit like having a freshly cooked meal next to various little dramas. I don't know what it is about the area that makes the other patrons so fascinating and funny, but I highly recommend booking in, enjoying the food and having a good eavesdrop.

Quite possibly one of the rudest gentlemen I have ever met! Myself and a friend popped in for a coffee and a bite to eat. Whilst my friend was in the queue ready to order I attempted to nip to the toilet where I was confronted by a gentleman (possibly the owner) who abruptly “told me off” for not asking to use the toilet and that I was rude and had no manners. Hasten to say myself and my fiend quickly left the NEVER to return. Shocked to have been spoken to it that manner to say the least!

Wow I visited Daisy Grey cafe for the first time and I can say they serve the best coffee although for a small cup it was expensive but the staff and atmosphere plus very very clean.

I ordered take away from what appeared to be their website (I later found out this is outsourced to third parties). Delivery was meant to take 30-45 minutes. 2 hours later, 4 calls to both the VC restaurant itself AND the third party website operator), my food finally arrived. What made me most angry was that the restaurant kept promising it was just a few minutes away. In the end I had to make dinner for my kids because it was past their bedtime. The website operator finally 'promised' me a refund (surprise! They didn't in the end) and my food suddenly appeared 10 minutes later. The food was average...all curries basically the same flavour with more or less chilli. I won't be returning.

Wow, what an amazing café, now called Delicatessen. Were super friendly and offered exceptional service. Good value quality and delicious food. Simple 5 stars and a shout out to the amazing staff. ⭐️🇬🇧

always nice except the garlic bread was severely undercooked. More like microwaved than toasted

We love this little bakers. The bread and cakes are divine, especially the fondant fancies! Good place for savoury pastries and a cuppa too, with lovely area to eat outside.

Awful! Awful service! Awful delivery time! Awful help from the restaurant itself. Sent a message through to just eat as all the information I was given was wrong, told the food was collected at 8:10 by a lady and was meant to be here 8:20 then told another person was there to collect the food but it had already left so couldn’t be collected for us. The delivery time kept going up on app and saying driver at restaurant and then after we ordered food from another account this food turns up cold delivered by a man not a woman like we was told and was ice cold! Awful awful awful! Couldn’t of even have eaten. Straight into the bin!

I’ve visited this establishment several times. While the food is decent, the overall atmosphere is consistently uncomfortable. The most concerning issue is how management interacts with staff—often in a way that feels unprofessional and unnecessarily harsh. Private conversations are frequently aired in front of customers, which creates an awkward and tense dining experience. Even more concerning is the visible emotional toll this seems to take on staff, especially the waitresses, who sometimes appear distressed and overwhelmed. No employee should have to work in a setting that lacks basic respect and support. If my own daughter worked here, I’d be seriously worried for her well-being. Eden Park, this is something that needs your immediate attention. You can—and should—do better.

Had a good experience here. Friendly and efficient staff who make a tasty flat white. No complaints
