Must be avoided. Tuesday the 26th March 2024, I ordered saveloy and chips and paid the man £5-20. He said a couple of minutes. I sat down and flicked through the newspaper front to back. He put his coat on and just walked out, never said anything and never came back. I waited and waited and left at 15:24. I never got my food, I guess he stole my money and just left ! what a disgraceful thing to do. Avoid this place.

Batter on fish thick, crispy and greasy and not nice. Chips ok ordered via just eat as my regular was not open and will not be ordering from here again.

Our regular Friday meal. Would recommend the grilled fish as an alternative to battered for a change. Always cooked well, and with telephoning our order in advance there's hardly any wait time.

I had Rock Salmon & Chips beautifully cooked and so tasty and generous portions highly recommend.

Ok, but rather ridiculous and inconvenient that they only take cash puts me off from going back there, also the man serving was a bit rude with his attitude when I ordered a small fish but realised when I got there that it was fish bites he got angry and stroppy, very bad customer service as far as I'm concerned.

Love the fish and chips here, always beautifully fresh. Yes, you have to wait for them to cook them, but I much prefer that to fish that have been sitting around going soggy. Highly recommended - the only improvement would be if they started taking card so we could have an emergency chippie tea without a race to the cashpoint!

Very generous portions. Good service and only a very short wait while they did my order. Only 4 stars as it was a bit greasy for my liking and they had run out of buttered rolls!!!

Thought I'd make a change from my usual go to place and try this one but the chips were luke warm and soggy. Shame as the person serving seemed nice and the place looked appealling but I was very disappointed and would have returned them were I not driving off to an engagement.

Fantastic chips, large fresh and just the right amount of crispy bits. It would have been a good solid 5* but for the fact that there was NO Veggie options, other than the chips. We ate in and the service was great and friendly.

It's a fantastic independently run takeaway with excellent fish and chips cooked fresh to order I go passed for fish and chip places just to come here it's worth the visit.

Chips were so bad we could not eat them, they have been left in buckets for too long and we’re black and mouldy. The fish was freshly cooked and ok but the batter was cooked in terrible oil that leaves a bad taste. Used to be good here and thought I would try again, how difficult can it be to cook nice chips in quality oil, they do charge top price so need to use quality ingredients. Very disappointed, if I could return I would.

Polite welcome and a clean enviroment. Everything was freshly prepared and was definitely worth the 10 minute wait. Excellent salt and vinegar distribution.

C19 measures in place, visited during second lockdown. Service is quite slow. Chips are nice but they put your salt and vinegar on for you which resulted in overly salty and vinegary soggy chips on the top layer and the rest of the chips having none. This was mainly because I had them 'open' not wrapped but they were hot and kept my hands warm.

Chips are decent, fish is average at best. The previous incarnation of this fish & chips shop was a hidden gem in Beckenham. This one is is just OK. The rectangular boxes they serve their food in is odd - they often have to break the fish in two to get it in the box! Simple greaseproof paper is fine.

Not happy...they tried to overcharge us and when questioned about the cost became abusive. We were regular customers since they opened...after that experience we won't be back
