The best restaurants serving Other international-cuisines food in Edinburgh and Lothian

We visited this beautiful wee gem tucked away in this pleasant suburb of Edinburgh: Newington. The lovely couple who own it ( and two sister restaurants in the city) explained they have changed their emphasis to wine by the glass or bottle with upmarket snacks from local high quality suppliers such as Iain Mellis cheese. We loved the cosy autumn into winter vibe: beautiful tasteful lighting enhanced this. They have a truly fabulous selection of wine to suit all tastes. We can’t wait to go back!

An odd one. Stumbled in as no one on the door, or at the concierge desk so had to ask at the bar and was then directed downstairs to wait 5 minutes until restaurant reception arrived. The table and chairs are more setup for a bar than a reasonably expensive restaurant and you’re in the basement so not the best location. Food was good, but small portions especially considering price. An odd one really, I wouldn’t go again

Good bar. Good choice of cocktails. Reasonably priced. Nice laid back atmosphere. Did not eat here so cannot comment on food.

Los ñoquis eran ligeros y deliciosos, y el haggis vegetariano era excepcional! El haggis, aprendimos, es una receta familiar de 60 años. El personal era muy amable y servicial. Recomiendo encarecidamente este restaurante!

I was at the Golf Club with friends for a Christmas dinner. The food was excellent and the staff attentive but not overpoweringly so. It was very enjoyable and I do recommend it as a dining out experience. However, there was one thing missing. No disabled access. I realise that generally speaking, those who frequent a golf club will be fairly fit and mobile, but for the mobility challenged visitor, entry to the building is awkward to say the least. I am disappointed that I will be unlikely to visit again, solely for that reason.

I came here 8 years ago and had the perfect potato with vegan haggis! Was very sad to find that it has now closed down, thank you for your 30 years!

What a magnificent meal, 7 delicious and delightful courses! The service was fantastic and the wines chosen for each course matched with perfection.

Fine. Nothing wrong with the place. And good location. But Edinburgh is full of top notch breakfast & brunch places. So it kinda needs to lift its game to get full marks. Staff are friendly and coffee is good.

Leo was our waiter, he was friendly and seemed happy to be at work. The food was good value for money and they have a vast choice of cocktails.

Bra ställe, snygg kille i baren. Fräscha toaletter men lite dåligt tryck i kranen. Goda drinkar men förväntade oss roligare dricksglas. Ok Tiki-inredning men kunde varit roligare.

Great to go on a nice day! Theyve got big windows with natural lighting :) Recommend the banana chocolate cinnamon buns (very soft and chewy)! The tiramisu muffin was crumbly and slightly stale but the cream on top was light and sweet. Service was great😋

Had an incredible Tomahawk steak here with my hubby last week for our anniversary. The food tasted amazing and the service was top-notch...the manager even treated us to a cake with a candle on top to celebrate the occasion. I will definitely bee coming back here again soon - lovely atmosphere, friendly amd professional service and most importantly worth every penny! Thanks for a lovely and memorable experience :)

Great little spot. Food was fantastic.

Best vegetarian dinner we‘ve had in a long while! Great quality food, competent service and overall a beautiful experience. We had several drinks, two starters, two mains and a shared dessert plate for 120 pounds in total which is definitely reasonable for this good of a quality. Recommended!
