What a great place to have food and drinks with friends, there were 6 of us, we booked the 'Boozy Brunch' this consists of 2 courses of food and 5 drinks, we all had various cocktails, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was vibrant and the food was quite authentic, all in all a great place to spend an evening.

Rob was our server at this restaurant! Rob made us feel so welcome, and really had a chat with us and it showed that Rob really enjoyed their job and wanted to ensure we were treated amazing! Myself and my partner will definitely be returning to this restaurant when we next visit Edinburgh if Rob is our server again!!

Popped in for lunch on a Friday mix of adults and child. Rob was so friendly and helpful, especially with the wee one and when we had a spill! Menu was great for kids - from simple but tasty fish fingers to kid friendly tacos for the more adventurous ones. I got th veggie burrito which was delicious.

We came here for the boozy brunch, and we were not disappointed. Every member of staff we had an interaction with were great, attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. We had arrived early, so asked to sit outside to enjoy a drink before our booking, that was no problem, and we were given drinks quickly and the front of house staff were great. Once we were seated inside, we enjoyed our lunch and cocktails, the food was good, and the cocktails were great. When we finished lunch, we asked if we could sit outside to have the remainder of our cocktails and that wasn't an issue, it was great to enjoy an unusually warm March day in Edinburgh, and the staff popped in and out of the restaurant to make sure we were OK for drinks, etc. All in all, the whole experience was great, and we will definitely be back, and I would highly recommend Las Iguanas - George Street.

Had booked for the boozy brush event for a friends birthday, which was cancelled. Staff were super friendly and changed our boozy brunch booking and suggested other activities around Edinburgh. Great atmosphere, food and cocktails!!!

We stopped for some comfort food after walking all morning and it hit the right spot! Leah made sure we were taken care of and service was quick. The chilli con carne was very savory and spicy, perfect for a gloomy day.

This was such a lovely spot for dinner!!! Had 2 recommendations from friends to come try the bottomless tapas, and it didn’t disappoint!! They were so kind and attentive and really really helpful. Always we’re offering more food and so so lovely. Definitely would really really recommend!!! And the food is so so tasty especially the churros. :)))

Really lovely place. Staff were friendly. And helped us to really enjoy this place. Food was so good! The drinks too, were very well made!! It was a big bill, but we couldn't resist with how good the cocktails were. Very clean and relaxed feeling there. Great seating, which were very comfortable. All round great time I had here. Would definitely come back!

Natasha, Ollie and Rob were all amazing. Made our holiday experience very good by giving us good local tips and information about the area, and Rob had a very cool starwars pen. All very welcoming and excellent food. Very fast service and good cocktails :)

Most mediocre food ive had in my life, went there they didnt have half of the appetizers, service was very mediocre the waitress was bored to death, atmosphere nothing special. wouldnt go again

So in January, they have an offer called "bottomless taps for £15. Good value for money and good publicity for them during after Christmas/low season. My colleague told me about that deal so I thought to give a try. £15 pp for unlimited tapas for 90 mn, not bad right? What worse for a restaurant to start with bad impressions... Massive disappointment when we didn't see the padron pepper (the main reason we came here for) on the short a modified menu (my colleague had a different one with more choices 3 weeks before), it was on the website menu though. No prawns skewer neither... Not a lot of rum in my caipirinha for £8! Stick with the pint of beer guys, no cocktails! Food is good for a chain but still avarage. The only highlight was the fried chicken which was succulent and moist. Had to wait 20 mn between my second refill for the food so your 90mn disappear fast... Overhaul experience was ok, nothing exceptional. But I hate being disappointed when I go out, especially for false advertisement. Unacceptable for a big business hence the 1 star review. Ps: this was to try something else than Café Andaluz which BTW never disappoint us... Just saying.

I went for the unlimited tapas last night and I explicitly said multiple times that I’m allergic to gluten and they fed me 3 gluten tacos. In which I had to go hospital after the dinner. - they still charged me for the meal.

Asked for gluten free food and they gave gluten one and I am severely allergic to it.

Came in for a January payday treat and had wonderful time! We had the bottomless tapas deal, which was lovely and a massive saving! Our waiter Rob was an absolute treat, so friendly and helpful really made our night.

We go for the unlimited tapas. The menu is completely different from the webpage of the restaurant. (With much restricted choices, no hot honey beach cheese, no lemon chipotle Gambas, no jalapenos poppers, no corn esquites, no Hot honey habanero chicken) The Churros are supposed to be bottomless, but we can only have them at the very end, no refill. It is a very disappointing experience. The food comes quite slowly, and the waitress is always busy and has no time to come to take orders. When we finally got her to come to order the dishes, she said our time is up and couldn’t order anymore. Not recommended and I am not going back to this place!

Amazing venue and food. The restaurant caters to all dietary requirements and is so accommodating to all needs. The staff are absolutely exceptional and so helpful. Natasha especially was so kind and welcoming. I couldn’t recommend Las Iguana’s more.

Had an amazing evening here with a close friend that I’ve not seen for years, the music and atmosphere was buzzing. Food was really quick, fresh and hot. Cocktails were amazing, Natasha our server was brilliant, but the manager Natasha was exceptional, super engaging, friendly and down to earth. Immediately felt at ease in her presence, thank you for making our evening Tash :-)

An awesome time as always! Host Natasha was incredible and made sure everything was perfect the entire time we were there. They held themselves with dignity when an unreasonable couple were kicking off for no reason. Food was great as were the cocktails. Shout out to the Spicy Marg! A great range of food and drinks to cater for all. Will be back!

I rarely make any comments as my experience with restaurants are pretty good.  Las Iguanas is by far the worst experience Ive had.  Their unlimited tapas deal is given gradually and they make you wait about 10 minutes for every taco you end up eating.  They make excuses that kitchen is busy yet there are not so many people dining as we dined around 1230p.   After 30 min, I litterally just had about 3 full tacos.  We were all disappointed and upset during our stay and all the waitress can say was Im sorry.  We were still charged the full price with service charge on top.  We were on a holiday and this trip to Las Iguanas made our trip miserable.  Beware of this place especially if you are a tourist as they will just take your money and leave you hungry and upset after your "unlimited tapas deal".

We were a group of four and booked lunch today to try the 90-minute all-you-can-eat option. We were asked what we did not want to be served, and the rest would be provided free-flow. We specifically told our waitress not to bring Nachos and Patatas Fritas. After 10 minutes, we received the jalapeño fritters, beef quesadilla, and chicken quesadilla, which we ate right away. One of my friends, who is vegan, requested the vegan quesadilla, so we waited 15 minutes for that. After more than 15 minutes of waiting, we were served 4 tacos—2 chicken and 2 vegetarian. Since there were four of us, we each had one taco. Then the waiting began again. After about 20 minutes, we were served corn chips and informed that the kitchen was a bit busy. The restaurant is large, but there were only four tables of customers, so we did our best to stay patient. Another 20 minutes passed, and we were served Nachos, Patatas Fritas, and another chicken quesadilla—despite having specifically requested not to have the Nachos and Patatas Fritas. They didn’t provide or offer chicken wings, fried chicken, or any of the other options we expected. Eventually, they served mixed calamari, but it tasted awful. The service was really poor, and we completely lost our appetite. We ended up paying the full price, including the mandatory service charge. It was a terrible experience, and we will never return.

Shocking service from the start. Walked in and waited for 5 mins, for then the front of house staff member to then watch the phone ring, hang up and say “shhh they’ll phone back” finding this hilarious.. to then to be sat far away from everyone else with the wrong menus (we booked bottomless tapas) because we had our toddler with us. Then when we advised again that this is what we had booked, took the menus from us and didn’t even acknowledge or ask what our child wanted. Ordered drinks, they were slammed on the table and a cappuccino was then passed over our child’s head (luckily it was freezing cold), when advised to not do that, same front of staff member found this hilarious whilst walking away. The bottomless tapas isn’t quite bottomless either, they choose the plates and to start brought out a tiny plate of nachos to share between 3 adults.. we then advised that we’d be leaving and asked to speak with the manager, who didn’t seem surprised by the front of staffs members actions and just said “we will talk to them later”.. would avoid this restaurant.

We had a sharer tacos plate and it was delicious and a good amount of food for 2 people! The strawberry margarita was nice too! Unfortunately we feel they prioritise take-aways like other restaurants so the service was quite slow. When I pointed out to the manager that we were waiting for our food for 45 minutes she apologized and brought it to us fast after that. In the end she also took it out of the bill, which was much appreciated. The music was great and at a good volume!

Me and my partner shared the mixed fajitas and they were absolutely delicious, they arrived quickly and staff were very friendly and accommodating especially Natasha who was serving us ! The passion fruit zombies are so tasty and good value I would recommend :)

Came on a cold Monday night in January so the place was very quiet, however, the service from Rob (who has the best moustache ever!) lightened the restaurant up. He was extremely attentive but not in an annoying way as some waiters can be, and, when I asked about making a curry hotter he went and asked the chef if this was possible before taking my order. This fantastic service led me to leaving 5 stars for the food because I ended up having the meal I wanted so thank you Rob.

Went late so it was fairly quiet, the music really gets you in the theme of the restaurant. Food was tasty, we ordered some starters and mains. Service was also good, we were assisted by Rob, a bubbly individual with a killer mustache!

Popped in on a cold Saturday just after New Year. It was pretty quiet and didn't have much atmosphere. Service was ok. Food was nice. Churros were some of the best I've ever had.

Wonderful lunch today, food was fantastic the steak fajitas were cooked to perfection with excellent warm friendly service, nothing was too much trouble, huge thank you to Paige for taking such good care of us! Our son is already asking when we can go back for curly fries. Can’t wait to return!

⭐ (1 star) Deeply disappointed by the shocking lack of customer service from manager Leigh at Las Iguanas (George Street). We had a 7:30 pm reservation but arrived at 6:45 pm due to wintry weather and having two children (ages 5 & 7) and a 70-year-old senior in our group of 6. Despite the restaurant being half-empty with numerous free tables, we were refused early seating or even permission to wait inside out of the cold. When we explained our situation with tired children after a long bus tour and offered to wait to order until our reservation time, the manager Leigh accused us of being 'aggressive' - a completely inappropriate characterization of a family simply requesting to wait indoors. The restaurant's claim of being understaffed doesn't justify refusing shelter to young children and elderly customers on a cold winter evening. For comparison, we eventually went 1km away to Topolabamba, which was actually busier but demonstrated true hospitality by accommodating our group without hesitation. The contrast in customer service was stark and telling. Las Iguanas would do well to remember that hospitality isn't just about serving food - it's about basic human consideration. Will not be returning and cannot recommend.

We had a very nice dinner amply assisted by the amazing Natasha. Welcomed warmly, given advice, and then helped with a tricky voucher by her, she was stone-cold excellent from start to finish. Massive shout out and thanks to her, she was fab.

Great food in a great location near the Christmas Markets. Our server, Rob, was really friendly and added to the overall experience. We would go again.
