Returning here 3 years later has been worth it 100%. Highly recommend Shakshuka, full Scottish and the pancakes!

I'm not giving it 0 stars because I can't. We went because of the place's good rating, but they literally kicked us out for bringing a baby. They told us there was a table, but the stroller wouldn't fit. I told them it was no problem, that we could fold the stroller and sit the child in a highchair, it plenty fitted. It wouldn't bother the people around us or the waiters, but they didn't care. They responded in a very rude manner, with an unfriendly expression, as if they had no interest in having children in their restaurant. They didn't look for any alternative or solution, just wanted us to get out of their sight as soon as possible. I can't rate the food, but I can rate the service, which was terrible. I advise you not to go if you have children.

Popped in for lunch purely by chance and oh so glad we did. Food was amazing and service very friendly. Only negative was that it was rather cold but there was a fan heater placed by our table. This won’t put us off returning when next in Edinburgh. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I used to come here years ago when I lived in Edinburgh, and am delighted that the quality hasn't declined at all. The food is a bit pricey but worth it for the quality of ingredients and cooking. The restaurant is a beautiful place to be, and the service was attentive. One of my favourite places to eat in Edinburgh.

This beautifully presented wine bar offers an outstanding selection of wines, with something for every taste. The charcuterie board is a perfect match, featuring delicious meats, cheeses, with a French focus. Our server, Jonathan, gave expert wine recommendations that enhanced the experience with thoughtful pairings. A must-visit for wine lovers!

Not worth the amount of stars given by others. Maybe it is the general level of restaurants in Scotland that makes people give more than 4 stars, but for me it is not worth going back. Steak tartare is way too spicy and like 30% consists of capers. Bread is not crisp. The veal schnitzel was prepared OK. Bit too dry but overall lacking taste. Also the potato's were undercooked and lacking taste / salt. Also 12,5% surcharge for 7 people is ridiculous. Maybe 3,5 stars.

The most DELICIOUS loaf of bread I've ever had! The sweetest service, she helped me choose the loaf that ended up being so crazy yummy! The cutest wee shop, can't recommend it enough!

Burgers were average and a 45 minute wait for food on a quiet Tuesday lunch time

Came here wanting a quick breakfast on a Monday morning and after being seated we waited about 10 minutes before even being approached to order a drink, bearing in mind it was not very busy. The service was then slow receiving our drinks and then we waited a further 40 minutes for our food, all we ordered was a croissant and a sausage breakfast roll. Once we received our food I realised the sausage breakfast roll had only one small sausage cut in half, this didn’t even fill half of the roll. I questioned the waitress if this was right and apparently this is how it comes. After reading other reviews I now realised I was served a children’s portion. Absolutely would not return. The staff were fairly pleasant but service was very slow and far too overpriced for what you receive.

I love the pie and I love the ice cream which was so real and real home made ice cream experience Pie was so delicious!!! And the venison (deer) meat was very delicious too . Staff were lovely and make me feel comfortable despite of the opposing efforts of the “guys” *** Update 07.03.2025, there is a new well dressed guy at the bar making faces if he does not like your look.

Excellent location and very well presented. Staff were great. We were placed at a table at the window with lovely view of Edinburgh. Unfortunately the room was so cold it ruined the whole experience. There also seemed to be a discrepancy between the menu we got and the one on the web site e.g. Butternut squash risotto

Estábamos buscando un restaurante turco o libanés para comer durante nuestra estancia en Edimburgo y cuando caminamos a nuestra primera opción había cerrado. Rápidamente tuvimos un vistazo rápido en trip advisor y tomamos nuestra decisión. Tuvimos un entrante de hummus y berenjena con el pan plano más sabroso. Pedimos recomendaciones para las principales que eran pollo y kebabs mixtos servidos con arroz, ensalada, un poco de cebolla a la parrilla y hongos, junto con un poco de cebolla cocida en rodajas en una salsa encantadora. Solo £ 5 en un uber o 20 minutos a pie de vuelta a la ciudad con un par de paradas de bar en el camino. Una visita brillante y sin duda volveré la próxima vez que seamos locales. Pruébalo no te decepcionará

Increíble noche para celebrar nuestro 25 aniversario de boda! La comida era increíble y el personal era atento, educado y conocedor tanto de la comida como de las bebidas para acompañar la comida. Gracias especiales a Nitin, Caitlin y Michael que nos cuidaron e hicieron nuestra celebración especial. También gracias a los chefs y el equipo detrás de escena!
