The best restaurants serving Other european-cuisines food in South West

This is a "rare find" in my opinion, my son who lives in the area and I visited for a Sunday roast last weekend, it was a last minute booking but we had a very warm welcome from the staff. The food was VERY generous, delicious, well cooked and tasty. The pub source much of what is on the menu locally, supporting local producers and farmers in the county. The young serving staff were professional, courteous and friendly. Phil was a great host too. Well done team, and we will be back 😊

Just back from quite possibly the poorest roast and service with a terrible atmosphere for a long time. Plenty of staff, woeful service, had to wave for attention, then go to the bar to ask for service later. This isn’t being over fussy, trying to catch staff eye didn’t work. There seemed to be a male and female manager that couldn’t even raise a smile let alone serve. There was a red haired lady and a very young girl that seemed the only ones working and keeping the place together. Then the food, Luke warm at best. Reheated roast potatoes, burnt yorkshires, and beef that defied cutting let alone chewing. Deserts thankfully good. Then the bill, including “ service charge “ over £200! Sadly the outside appearance during work reflected on the quality of the food and service. Usually a great place to visit, so much so that it’s a 2 hour round trip to visit and always worth it until now. What’s happened? Where’s the quality gone? Where’s the service. A smile goes a long way even if busy. We visited at 4pm so extremely quiet so no excuse

Great restaurant with good quality food as expected! Ideal for a works meal at lunch time, big thanks for the staff providing good level of service with all of our orders spot on! Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

We came here for my Mums 90th Birthday celebration. From start to finish nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They made us feel so welcome and were very accommodating! The food was lovely too. I would definitely recommend The Pilot Boat

Our favourite place to visit when we are in the area. Food is always fantastic and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. We all had the set lunchtime menu and the portions were perfect. We look forward to visiting again very soon.

Lucy was our server, she was always smiling and very helpful. Also would like to say thank you to Andy & Amy, every time we visit the fox they are full of smiles & happiness. The food is absolutely amazing. There were 12 of us last night & everyone was pleased with their meal & the service. The chicken & rib platter was amazing as was all the food. Food & drinks excellent value for money. Have been coming here for a while & will be co mk ing back for a long time to come.

We've been getting take-aways from here for a few years now, great delivery service but the food has sadly gone downhill.

We visited today for the first time in years. The pub has been decorated lovely since our last visit and is very warm and welcoming. We both had the roast dinner, it was gorgeous, couldn’t fault a thing, right down to the great service too. We are so glad we’ve found somewhere so close for a good roast, as they are hard to find. We’ll definitely be back.

The floor in the restaurant is absolutely disgusting! It certainly hasn’t been regularly mopped/cleaned. It is quite literally jet black in patches on the much hidden wooden floor and it is sticky underfoot. If this is the level of cleanliness in the public area what is it like in the kitchen!! Cleanliness should be top priority in any restaurant. Management need to get it sorted. We certainly won’t be returning.

best chicken I’ve ever had will be back for multiple trips , 10x better than a Nando’s etc , staff are lovely #watp #CNAULDBOYSLOVEIT even bobby sands would’ve probably ate it.

Disappointed So sorry to say this but we came last night to treat ourselves to a takeaway fish chips, however we started to eat the chips and they seemed to be getting stuck down our throats goodness knows what or how they where cooked!. and not very hot to. I wasn't going to complain but having worked hard all week thought this would be a nice treat. I turned to my husband and said I will say something because these days not many people complain & these days it is not cheap!. To be honest the girl serving at the hatch & men couldn't of given a damn. when I asked them about the chips I was really brushed off. I still today feel as I have lump Indigestion, pain discomfort in the upper part of the stomach from eating some of it. ( fish good ) apology and courteous would have made a difference. without prejudice.

Have driven past the Swan on many occasions on the way to Bridport and have been intrigued by the Steak and Kidney Pie advertised on the A Aboard. I was not disappointed it was excellent, very tender meat and served with three vegetables. The rest a the party were equally impressed with their meal. The atmosphere was a traditional English pub and the staff were pleasant welcoming. If you’re driving past pop in you won’t be disappointed.

When coming to ikea we plan on getting her right at 9:30am for the breakfast and the avoid the crowds. If you’ve never come or had the breakfast, you’re missing out. It’s no 5 star restaurant, but when you balance price with what you’re getting, you’re definitely coming out ahead. The bacon is almost always crispy-which is most important. They have lost of options, so it at least once. My family of 3 cost $9 in total. Eyes and bacon for two of us, pancakes for wifee, coffee and an apple scone.
