Had a booking for last Friday, travelled a fair distance, to discover the restaurant is currently closed for renovations. Why they've got their reservations open is beyond me and thoroughly disappointing, however went to Motcombs and had a great time.

🚇 Shepherd’s Bush Market 🍺 £5.80 Pravha The Queen Adelaide is located at the western end of Shepherd’s Bush heading towards Acton. It is also close to QPR’s stadium, Loftus Road. The nearest Tube is Shepherd’s Bush Market. This striking Grade II listed pub was originally built in the 1840’s and rebuilt 1895. The pub is named after King William IV’s wife who was Queen Consort between 1830 and 1837. This pub is one of three pubs in London named The Queen Adelaide. This is a good size one bar pub that is set out around an island servery. The decor is traditional with some beautiful and interesting features throughout. To the right and front of the servery is a mix of high and low conventional seating. At the back of the servery is a pool table in front of a magnificent fireplace. At the back left there is a dining area with a tall painting of Queen Adelaide, a large atrium with a chandelier, gorgeous wood panels and ole’ Joanna. To left of the servery is an open kitchen. The beer line up had a good selection of beers and ciders and included two cask ales. I decided on a pint of Pravha, my pint was great, price point was a tad below average. The food menu offers a choice of comfort food and pub classics, Fish & Chips costs £16.95. We arrived around 2pm on an overcast Saturday afternoon in November. The pub was quiet with two punters and their pooch in attendance. This pub gets very busy on match days when QPR are playing at home. The service was good, the chap who served us was welcoming and courteous. We sat at the bar and discussed 80’s British Gameshows. The @queenadelaidew12 was a lovely setting to quaff a pint in. The architecture is stunning, the decorative features easy on the eye and our overall experience was a good one. I would definitely check this pub out if you’re in the area. 📅 9th November 2024 More London Pub info @londonpubmap 🍻

Visiting family and friends in the area we booked three nights here, first impressions were very good, although parking can be a challenge, fortunately we did get a space out back near our room each day. We chose one of the ground floor outside rooms intentionally, unfortunately our first night we had very heavy rain, one of the gutters must be split as the drip drip drip was annoying, also there is a smoker’s container on the wall near the rooms, one night my husband had to get dressed to open our door to ask a smoker not to stand by our open window, I suggest that this container is moved from its position. Otherwise the room was a good size with a king sized bed. A good tea/coffee tray with biscuits. A small but adequate shower room, although we couldn’t work out how to turn on the heated towel rail. We ate in the restaurant every evening, the food on the whole was good. My husband enjoyed his lamb rump, the pork belly and his burger unfortunately the chicken shawarma wasn’t to my taste, the cauliflower described as crispy had been deep fried in batter and was soggy. The wing of skate was very small and thin. The continental breakfast was the most minimal I’ve ever seen, Cooked breakfast only being offered at the weekends, limited cereal, a small fruit bowl and DIY toast. On checking out I did indeed to point out the gutter and smoking container problems but there wasn’t anyone to be found.

Practically perfect in every way. My girlfriend (who became my fiancé during our stay) stayed at Lords of the Manor in December 2024. I had a number of special requests which the team were only too happy to accommodate. We stayed during Storm Darragh which unfortunately led to a 24h powercut during our stay. The staff were wonderful, and did everything they could to ensure we were safe and comfortable despite the lack of power. Leona and I look forward to visiting again!
