We walked in without a booking on a busy Saturday night. They still found us a fantastic table. Service was very friendly , food was amazing and prices very helpful to the wallet . For me though it was the choices on the menu that really wowed us. There were four pages of choices ranging from a sandwich to a full on steak dinner. You can have small starter or a huge plate of food. There is so much choice. But best of all no time frames. You can have a steak at 1pm or a sandwich 10pm. The Chef or manager has really got it right at this place. Just go its a fab place eat.

The bugger was greasy, the extra cheese was non existent and the bacon was tough. In stead of sliced onion in had half an onion cut into two pieces. The floor to the pub had a hole in it and if not for carpet my foot would of gone straight through. I mention this to the staff and they weren't intersetsed, didn't even ask if we enjoyed the meal. Have to say I would avoid at all costs.

We had a delightful evening meal at this restaurant/pub. We shared the nacho’s which were really delicious and wish we lived closer as I could eat them regularly. I had the seafood grill and my wife had smoked haddock, both meals were beautifully presented, hot and clearly freshly cooked. The waiting staff were all very friendly and attentive. Very highly recommended if you’re in the area.

This is our second visit to The Cheshire Yeoman and again the food was outstanding. The portions are good size and great value. More importantly some of the best food we've had out in a long time. We had the blade of beef and the belly pork, both of which were cooked to perfection.

Fabulous Sunday Lunch. Even though times are tough for all of us, The Cheshire Yeoman maintained their high standard and quality of food, all freshly cooked to order and all fresh ingredients especially the pea shoots! Weekly changes on the starters and desserts on Sundays , their little sausage starter is legend in our house😀 the mackerel starter today was a new one so fresh and delicious, I went for the homemade soup which is always fantastic and definitely home made. They also have the normal menu running too. The place was spotless and all service was great.

What a find! This place is superb. You will be very pleased if you choose The Cheshire Yeoman, for your next meal out. Having recently moved into the area, and being 'keen foodies' ourselves, we have been sampling the many eateries on offer locally. Our meal at The Cheshire Yeoman today was quite simply the finest we have eaten anywhere around here, in the past 6 months. The Haddock Mornay was cooked to perfection and the Chicken Supreme was an absolute triumph, with a delicious and beautifully cooked, autumnal garlicky, mushroomy, unctuous sauce. This chef really knows how to cook. We are both very impressed with this lovely, country pub. Not only is the food to die for but the staff are all exceptionally welcoming and consummate professionals at their jobs. Do give The Cheshire Yeoman a whirl, next time you are in need of some excellent food at perfectly reasonable prices, in a lovely setting. We'll certainly be back. Often.

Having visited this eatery before 12mths ago we decided that from our visit to Cheshire oaks we would try again.our 1st visit was for Sunday lunch our 2nd visit was a mid afternoon visit.on walking into the pub it was virtually empty apart from a family of 3 sitting on the raised area.no problem there so we sat down on a table again on the raised area.our table needed cleaning bits of food no a good start ok we could have sat at another table but choose not to.firstly there is no excuse for tables not to be cleaned ready for the next customers and that means around the floor around and underneath the table.its just pure laziness.so we ordered our starter pate x2.it arrived toast was partly burned but did not make a big issue over it but the dressing that was in the plate was to put it mildly was pathetic.the tinyest piece of rocket you have ever seen.poor effort and at 7.95 not cheap for our mains we had ordered belly draft pork and fish and chips.well my partner said the belly draft was nice but the batter on my fish was burnt overcooked.it was brought to the attention of the girl who served us and it was changed.but by this time i had really lost my appetite.also as mentioned before why o why is it so difficult to clean tables after the customers have left the family who were in the pub when we got there there table still had glasses food on the table and on the floor sorry its just sheer laziness unfortunately we struggle to give service in our country and this pub needs to up there game.final bill 57 quid. Not cheap for very average food and service.next time we visit cheshire oaks we will not be coming here again.

Enjoyed the food, however the locals along with the staff were constantly making fun of the welsh. Mimicking welsh language and telling welsh jokes. Strange as the pub is on the Welsh Road at the gateway of Wales. Obviously they only wish to attract locals.

Sunday lunch itself was nice plenty of meat, a good selection of veggies, a little more gravy wouldn’t have gone a miss and a home made Yorkshire Puddinh would have been good, however we should have stopped our meal there. We chose a pudding each and they were both very much a let down. A slice of chocolate cake arrived dry, with no ice cream or cream to make it less so. Alongside this an apricot crumble arrived which appeared to be tinned apricots in syrup covered with a slightly burnt crumble topping. This was supposed to come with cream but arrived with a very thick tasteless custard. Very disappointing for the price paid. If your looking for a simple, no frills Sunday lunch then this is the place for you, just don’t worry about pudding too much and stick to the main courses!

Not been to the Yeoman for long time si decided to give it a try. I need a gluten free meal & it says it caters for this. My chicken dinner arrived & I asked if the meal was Gf as the stuffing ball didn’t look Gf. Was told it was. Began my meal. Waitress came back & said she was wrong & stuffing was NOT gluten free! I explained what this meant for a sufferer to eat gluten. She offered me a plate to put the stuffing on; oblivious to fact stuffing was in roast potatoes. I eventually got a meal without the stuffing ; but my friends had almost eaten their meal. The food was nice; but staff & kitchen need training in gluten free procedures & impact on coeliacs, as neither seemed aware.

We turned up Friday night to a full pub and not booking but managed to squeeze us in and had a lovely meal. We were so impressed we went back Saturday after the races but booked before arriving. The meals were fantastic and boiling hot. The menu has a great selection and all freshly prepared. If you are thinking of going anywhere near it’s worth getting a Uber in and book before arriving. Cut a long story short a large family were seated before us and took all of the high chairs even though non were requested at the time of the booking. Handled badly by the staff as no real attempt was made to recover the situation other than “you can lay your child down on the seating if you wish”. We won’t be visiting again. Decided to visit the Cheshire Yeoman as we hadn't been for a while and wanted a change of scenery from the chimneys restaurant. What a mistake that was. Disappointed to see that the menu had changed to a more pub like menu but I understand during these times menus do change. From giving alcohol free Heineken after ordering a peroni (yes we all make mistakes) but then we had to ask for cutlery when the starter arrived. It states skinny chips with the burger but we got fat ones, again no hardship. Asked for ketchup but ended up going to the bar and asking for it again. The icing on the cake was when the bill arrived. I thought we had been given someone else's. I don't know why peroni comes up as gluten free beer on the list but anyway we where charged the wrong items. THREE times I had to ask for the correct bill. In the end our cab arrived and I had lost the will to live and just paid it. (turns out we were still overcharged) The lady at the bar was apologetic and did try to rectify it but even so. Busy or not I will stick to the chimneys and won't be going back.

Both were cooked pink to perfection served in a delicious gravy. I love my roast with loads of gravy so I asked for more which was not a problem. Both had home made Yorkshire puddings, veg and the cauliflower cheese of dreams and amazing roasties. Visited for Sunday lunch with family. Picked of the set Sunday lunch menu and starters were lovely no faults however the main Sunday lunch was awful. All dinners swimming in gravy, potatoes were undercooked and the lamb was tuff and almost rare however don’t remember seeing rare lamb on the menu? Cauliflower cheese could still taste the flour.Told the waitress when collecting the plates that we were not impressed which must have been clear as there was a substantial amount food still let on the plates. We were then asked if we wanted a desert which we did not want and we continued to finish our drinks. We when got a card out to pay and the waitress came over with the card machine and asked to check the price of the bill which we had not even received. A few minutes later we were asked to leave the table and could sit at the bar as this table was booked out to other customers, so if we did want deserts we would have been rushed as you had clearly booked the table out to another customer at a set time. At no point when booking the table or when we were seated at the table were we told that the table would need to be free again in less an half an hour? One us when leaving spoke to one of the girls that we were not impressed with the meal and the response was we have served a lot of roast dinners today and had no complaints and I struggle to understand how having no complaints of anyone else in the restaurant has got anything to do with our complaint/opinion. Is our complaints/opinion not valued enough? Will not be returning and would not recommend to other family and friends.

Visited last Friday evening for a meal and found the food very disappointing. We had a burger which was tasteless and instead of one large burger there were 2 small ones, very unusual. The other meal was a fish pie which looked very bland ,inside 3 prawns ! ! but that was about it, the so called salmon, white and yellow fish was so very minute in size that they were barely recognisable. Think there were supposed to be leeks in the dish but they were never found. We would have spoken to someone about it but the only staff around were very young girls. As one had no idea what “ beers” were, she kept mentioning larger and had to go back to the bar twice to find out what beers were but still did not understand. We had to go to the bar and see what was on offer, sadly only two cask ales were available. So didn’t think it was fair to complain to such young ,inexperienced staff. If you have any mobility problems then this is not the place for you as we could not find any disabled parking or easy access except up 5 or 6 steps. Didn’t stay long enough to need to use the toilets so don’t know if they have sorted out their problems with disabled/ baby changing facilities.

Gorgeous pub food with vegetarian options! Me and my boyfriend are staying down the road and so went for a lovely evening meal. Easy to locate, food was beautiful and reasonably priced. Atmosphere did lack a little but overall really lovely!

Second visit and great service as the first time. Called on Saturday night and was able to get a table within 15 mins. Attentive service and the girls kept looking over ever so often to make eye contact and check we were ok. Had the fish and chips - tasty and decent sized portion.

Visited for the first time with my boyfriend, 11 week old baby, my brother & girlfriend. The restaurant was lovely and clean and the waitress was lovely, food took a while and chips were cold but what was really upsetting is there is no baby changing facility or even ledge for me to have changed my baby girls nappy. I had to get onto my knees and lay my coat on the ladies toilet floor (the tiles were freezing) and role up my cardigan to support my baby’s head whilst i changed her nappy. It was very difficult and i was in a lot of pain changing her in such a awkward position. Its strange that it has signs in the ladies toilet to not flush baby wipes but no where to change a baby? Also was offered a high chair on arrival but no where to change a baby? My babys too little anyway for a high chair but confusing if they provide high chairs but don't have a changing facility. I thought it was compulsory to have baby changing facility’s if they allow children in the restaurant?

We ordered from the Sunday lunch set menu , we waited 50 minutes for our main course which was not acceptable and when my meal did come it was cold and I had to send it back! Which was a shame because when my hot meal came back 5-10 minutes later it was fresh not microwaved which raises the question why did I wait 50 mins for a cold meal? The second was tasty and well presented and hot if I had been served this meal firstly I would have been really happy. Then dessert came which was the strangest Bread and Butter pudding I have ever had in all my years of dining out. The dessert was literally just bread and butter baked, no fruit or sugar and the slices off bread just separated into slices as their was nothing to hold them together! It was very unpleasant and all you could taste was melted butter which is not good with cream , needless to say we didn’t eat it .

Staying at Inglewood Manor, my husband spotted The Cheshire Yeoman and was impressed by their advert claiming real chefs, real kitchen, real food and so we decided to try it out.

We have been to the Yeoman for many years and have had always had a great time apart from the last couple of visits. We have found the service to be slow and unattentive, taking 2 hours from entering the pub til leaving and, on one occasion, it took over half an hour to get our initial drinks order. I do not feel confident in raising any concern with the management due to the dismissive nature of the responses that have been displayed here on trip advisor. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and, if things aren't right, then they should have the opportunity to raise their concerns without being dismissed with excuses. I understand that it's difficult to run an establishment such as this and the demand is high on behalf of the customer to get things right, but by dismissing people's genuine concerns about what they think is expected can only be detrimental to the long term success of this well loved pub.

The restaurant has a good atmosphere, the service staff were pleasant and the food was very good. What let all this down was having to wait over an hour before the meal was served. All the meals we ordered we're not complicated, three out of the four were the same, chicken curry. The unusually long wait caused concern because one of the group is diabetic and not expecting to wait so long had taken medication which was now having an effect.

shamble's from start to finish. sat down on a table having bought our bottle of wine and drink's at the bar. the waitress then said that we had only 2 hour's until that table was booked then, ok no problem we said.there was 2 other table's occupied and one of them had eaten. we ordered our stater's and main's the starter's came and were very nice 20 minute's we sat there with empty starter plate's. when the waitress finally took them away, it was another hour before the main's came, which by this time 4 other table's had arrived and eaten there food and left? our main's finally came after we had gone to the waitress and asked how much longer would they be, she said they were getting plated as we spoke. 20 minute's later they arrived much to our disappointment......cold mash under the smallest piece of fish i have ever had on a plate, the steak which was asked for to be medium was rare which was fine as that's how they wanted it really but, why so long to cook a steak rare????? when we were leaving after the 2 hour limit the place was empty again, no customer's waiting for our table.....good job they were late if they were any booking actually made. never again.

My dear sister recently watched a documentary on independent television called The Real Housewives Of Cheshire, a gritty, no nonsense portrayal of life in the North-West of England. As a contrast to Islington she was keen to see such deprivation for herself so we asked Baker to fire up the Daimler and headed up the M1. It was as bad as we feared with men seemingly unable to afford warm coats on what was a cold autumn night and the women dressed in rags: I don't think I saw a pair of jeans that wasn't practically in tatters all evening. We obviously needed an escape from this poverty and whilst driving round spotted The Cheshire Yeoman. The establishment is divided into a dining area and a bar area with the two being strictly divided along gender lines: ladies in the dining area and the men drinking in the bar. Having settled ourselves at a vacant table a friendly lady provided us with menus. Everything on offer looked inviting and it was difficult to choose. Our meals didn't take too long to arrive and were well presented. The food was good but could have been better with my dear sister's beef being a little dry, but the excellent service easily compensated for this. In the meantime Baker had finished a well kept pint of beer and a packet of crisps in the car park. Our journey back to the comforts of the capital passed without incident.

Visited a few years ago, and wasn’t happy with the service! After visiting again recently I had a wonderful experience! Food and menu was incredible and could not have asked for better service. Staff were so attentive and couldn’t have done any more. It was very busy during our visit but customer service remained impeccable throughout lunch. Thanks for a great lunch, will recommend and will be back!

Called in today as we live relatively close to the Cheshire Yoeman and have never visited before. We were seated quickly and drinks order taken soon after - drinks brought quickly and mistake rectified. Food order was taken and delivered to the kitchen. We then waited for roughly 45 mins for a starter and a main to come out together. There were 6 people dining in the restaurant so really couldn’t say they were busy.

The food and service were both excellant. There were four of us and each one was happy with their meal. We went off the bistro menu and at just under £10 per head we thought was good value in terms of both quantity and quality

Three of us went here at about 1.30 last Tuesday and had a nice meal. We two adults picked from the reasonably priced Bistro menu and a youngster chose from the Childrens menu. All our meals were decent well cooked portions served by attentive and friendly staff in a clean well apointed surroundings.

Excellent service, very friendly and attentive without getting in the way. Food is delicious, great flavours especially in the meat dishes as you'd expect for somewhere twinned with the best butchers in town (which happens to be next door, hence the name!). Pictured is November's sirloin steak, with "chips" and polenta & cauliflower cheese. Highly recommended.

I called the store today to order a pizza for my elderly grandad and explained that he is hard of hearing so could they call me to inform him when they will be there. The guy that answered the phone said he would take it himself as it's literally around the corner and call me when he's leaving - which I thought was really nice of him. I have had food from here a few weeks back and stood waiting whilst they prepared it and they really are nice guys 😄. Food is delicious and well worth the money can't rate this takeaway enough I'd give 10 stars if I could ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. If you read this, thank you 😊
