The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Other european-cuisines food

Hadn't seen my friend for a few months as she hadn't been very well so decided we'd go for a coffee. Upon arriving we were greeted ever so nicely by girl with glasses who was clearing some tables. We had ordered 2 lattes, a cheese and tomato toastie alongside 2 slices of carrot cake. Although the price shocked me at first due to how expensive it was, the lattes and cake were delicious, it was just a shame that the same couldn't be said about the toastie that didn't arrive for over 15 minutes. I approached a staff member (who i was later told was the manager) regarding the waiting time for the toastie, she looked at me with a face that looked fed up and miserable and rolled her eyes at me when i had told her how long i had been waiting. She then shouted across to someone to put a toastie in for me and continued to shout at other staff members. Every other staff member was so very nice, just disappointed with the lack of respect shown by the manager, it's no way for anyone to behave when were spending money let alone a manager. I received an apology on behalf of the manager from the young girl who came over to the table with my toastie and 2 free coffee vouchers for next time, which im unsure as to whether or not i shall be returning.

I told my wife that I wanted to spice up our love life. But I think she got the memo wrong and instead took me to black rooster. Ordered me a spicy quesadilla and since then I can say my life has been spiced up to the point I’ve spent more time on the toilet than anywhere els. The meal left an explosive memory that I’m still experiencing one day later. 10/10 would recommend

Un colega y yo organizamos estratégicamente un día en la oficina para poder ir a la nueva tienda Sandwich Sandwich en Londres. La cola era enorme, pero se movía bastante rápido y el personal regularmente salía para actualizarnos y darnos la opción de recoger artículos listos hechos de las neveras bien surtidas. Bueno, llegamos al principio de la cola frente al mostrador de delicatessen más impresionante que he visto. Increíbles selecciones, un personal encantador, cálido y amable que no teme tener bromas mientras compilan los sándwiches monstruosos juntos. Fue una experiencia agradable. Opté por el crujiente de atún y el malvavisco y Nutella Cronut. El bocadillo sabía tan bien como estéticamente agradable, era el peso de un bebé recién nacido! Mantuve el cronut y lo tuve más tarde en la noche y WOW, que gran combinación de sabores y texturas. 8 horas después y todavía sabía tan bien como se acababa de hacer. Me encanta este lugar y voy a correr la voz a lo largo y ancho! ¡Gracias por hacer que nuestra experiencia a la hora del almuerzo sea tan buena!

Después de ordenar en línea para una recogida, me dejaron esperar 20 minutos para que la comida fuera entregada una vez que llegué al restaurante. El gerente declaró que esto se debía a un nuevo personal que no había presionado "el botón correcto". Cuando llegué a casa, faltaban artículos del pedido y la comida estaba fría. Otros 25 minutos tratando de llegar al restaurante para obtener un reembolso de los artículos faltantes.

We really love ordering chicken shish kebabs from here for a cheap and quick dinner. They are delicious, cooked well (not dry) and a very good portion size. The salad is nice and fresh and there are great options. For £20 we easily fed a family of three, and the delivery was super quick. We ordered at 5pm so I imagine that's not a busy time for them.

They melted my cheese without me asking and they didn’t tell me I fell miss lead dont come here because the smell to THEY DIDNT LISTEN TOOOO

I order the ham egg and chips some simple hard to get wrong you would have thought The eggs had been cremated the chip warm and the ham was tasteless and look like it had been left out over night I know it’s a Wetherspoons and not a Michelin star but it was really poor I should have sent it back typically British I didn’t like to complain Won’t. Be eating there again

Increíble cantante / entrante encantador, sería más higiénico ponerlo como entrante. Plato por cliente / no un montón de entrantes, algunas personas ponen sus dedos en él. Donde se deben poner con cuchara. Pero no son // es repugnante ver lo que hacen los clientes, así que los pls ponen a cada cliente 1 plato de entrantes por persona. Entonces la comida estaba bien, pero los platos donde. Los alimentos pequeños se salen del plato para verlos por completo. Compre platos más grandes que no tenga que llenar. Se veía terrible donde 10 personas. Además, hacía frío, los calentadores donde no funcionaban decían que muchos de nosotros ni siquiera podíamos quitarnos los abrigos hasta 2 horas después. Además, lamento decir que hay niños 2 niños corriendo, todos salimos por la noche después de las 9 pm para no ver a los niños. Corriendo mucho, lamento que mi amigo me haya preguntado por qué hay niños corriendo. Le dijeron que los músicos son niños. Todos pensábamos que era terrible. Fuera de control // El abridor de este lugar no debe tener niños después de las 9 pm en las instalaciones con alcohol. Por favor, cambiemos todo esto si vamos a la noche, vemos a los niños que nos vamos. . . 6 de nosotros

Mi pequeño grupo visitó por la mañana temprano y disfrutamos del desayuno... avena cruda y fruta fue mi elección, a menudo de menús que he encontrado. Excelente. La habitación era tranquila, pero el miembro del personal que nos servía era una señora agradable joven y el servicio era excelente. Habíamos visitado para ir al mercado temprano así que era perfecto para nosotros. Sin duda volveremos a visitar. Mi estilo de lugar;-)).

Why offline on just eat so often though?

It leaves a bit of a sour taste paying £25 for one hour on a rowboat. I've been visiting Dedham infrequently for well over a decade now, and I feel like being stung on price takes away from the experience. Usually this is a very pleasant spot, however was most recently met by a seemingly new lady who I found to be snappy, rude and condescending to our party when enquiring about using the boats. She had her toddler running around the docks and the whole thing felt pretty rushed. It honestly put me off going again.

I really hate having to give just 2 stars but there is really only one reason. And it's not the venue, the venue, once a traditional but aging classic Italian restaurant, has been overhauled to a stylish, modern, contemporary Mediterranean brasserie with open kitchen and a warm friendly atmosphere. And it's not the staff, they were attentive, polite and very accommodating. And it wasn't the food, the food, what there was of it, was delicious - and we'll touch more on that. No, all of the above makes for a brilliant experience. But the price is a wholly different thing. I had the Mixed Shish (chicken and lamb) and at £23 i was expecting perhaps 2 skewers, with the accompanying items of rice and salad. I thought I'd order a side...but the fries were £8. In fact the cheapest side was £7. But I thought better of it, after all, because I thought that I probably wouldn't manage a side anyway.. When it came, I have to admit I was shocked. 6 cubes of meat, (3 pieces of chicken, three pieces of lamb) a tiny mound of rice and an undressed salad. All for £23. Now, i hate to use this term, because as a chef, I've worked in and dined in restaurants all over the world, but in London, in say...the financial district for example, I'd expect the same price and be equally unimpressed, but hey, it's london and you expect it, right?. But sleepy Hitchin? No. Totally unreasonable pricing. Comparing it to Pircio in Bishop's Stortford, for example, a chique and vibrant turkish restaurant which totally blows Mevan away, you literally cannot finish a full meal there, and your not financially broke at the end of it either.. But Mevan? Not so much. Final bill for 6 of us, one drink each, no starters, just main courses, no deserts or coffee Just shy of £400 I'll let that sink in. The food was well cooked, the three pieces of lamb tender, the three pieces of chicken succulent, the rice - we'll it's rice and it was fine, the salad unimpressive but fine. Suffice to say, we left disappointed and still hungry. So we walked back through town and stopped by the local chippy - yeah really. (The chippy was excellent by the way) In conclusion: Atmosphere and venue 9/10 Food 3/10 Price 0/10. Honestly I would say avoid, and choose any one of the buzzing, vibrant and better-priced restaurants in Hitchin that know they are in a local highstreet in a small Hertfordshire town and won't leave financially ruined - and hungry after. Two stars it is I'm afraid.

Fantastic place to stay. Nice clean room and bathroom. Could not fault this place.
