Nando's Yate in South Gloucestershire

It's your usual Nandos, which means tasty chicken with fast service. Staff are friendly and there were plenty of spaces. As Nandos go, this one could do with a big revamp - the sofas were all stained, the floor stuck to your shoes and the wood veneer was all peeling, really dirty in general. Could do with a deep clean and refurb!

Great staff and food. Ever so good for Nando’s. But store needs some TLC wonky tables and tired benches n furnishings n bathrooms. Needs an overhaul to bring an obviously much loved n used store back up to scratch.

Just ordered sides, waited almost an hour to be told the chicken is in the oven, I’ve not ordered chicken!!! Clueless people and definitely short staffed. Never again

Been going Nando’s in Yate in my own for months food has always been bang on. Tonight I got given a chicken pitta and it wasn’t up to its normal standard. I have a word with the staff and they said it’s to do with the suplier…doesn’t take into account for how ropey the chicken was…. New menu. Excuse…..

Service was good, food came out quickly when we were a table of 5 which was good. Was a bit of a shame not everything was available on the menu but there was plenty still in stock. Nice and clean, can’t complain really!

This was my first time in a Nandos! Yes the waitress couldn't believe it but she was so helpful. Food came quickly and was tasty. I like the bottomless drinks and I wasn't rushed off after I'd eaten so I could read as well. Thank you

Mainly order food to takeaway, whilst visiting family in the area. 99% of the time, the food is ready to collect within 20 minutes. Good quality food, and great service.

I’m unhappy because Nando’s Yate couldn’t sort out my order delivery.And also I order in Nando’s app and I haven’t received my order so when I called them to sort out about my order and they can’t help. So I’m so disappointed.

I came into the yate branch today and had Katie serve me and she was so kind and helpful , she went above and beyond to help us and will definitely be coming back because of this positive experience

Yate Nando's service is always the best. I come here everytime with my partner and his family and we never have to wait to sit down or food too long. They have good staff and it's clean in this Nando's.

Had a delivery first time that had Nando”s! Well £53 later and received a worst meal than McDonald’s, the amount of packaging was ridiculous every thing was in separate boxes( probably why so expensive paying for the boxes, Sweetcorn was burnt and clearly sat on the side for a while, it was dry and burnt! So thrown away, burger was ok but not worth £11 for one burger ….so hence will never have one again, sorry to all the lovers of Nando’s it may well be better to eat in restaurant but I will not waste my money.

Really quite as a Tuesday evening.. served super quick food was standard for Nando's.

Great food always. Great for coeliac and gluten free diners. Friendly staff. Really helpful management. We brought a cake in for our mum for her birthday and they had no problem and let us use some of their plates too.

I've never had a bad experience at this venue. I'm not going to comment on Nandos as a food choice, as I'm sure you've made up your mind you're looking for "high street food", so I'll talk about experience. Whenever I've entered the restaurant, they have tended to be serving someone but always apologise for the wait, suggest they'll be right with me and then do as they say. I've then always had friendly interactions whilst they've served me, happy for me to ask questions, and never to shy away from a simple conversation. The food has then been served exactly as expected. If I have ever had anything to say they've been swift and precise at sorting what I ask for. Very happy experiences here.

Lady manager with short dark black rude . Answered phones when packing our order , we then asked for a sauce she replied with a snotty voice no then walked off ! Very unprofessional

While the food was very nice and was served promptly, it was far too echoey to enjoy the food, all of the other customers were shouting just so they could be heard and the music was far too loud, i highly suggest to the management to tone down the music and cover the entire room with sound absorbant material such as carpet and dampeners

We turned up at around 8pm on a Friday and they found a table for us straight away. Food was classic Nandos and arrivef quickly.

Very nice atmosphere, and good service. The food is very nice and tasty. Many ways to eat chicken, with a large variety of sides and starters. The fino pitta is amazing if you like warm pitta, with grilled chicken tights, lettuce and grilled halloumi cheese. You have the option to choose how spicy you like your chicken. Vegetarian options are available on the menu, as well as children menu. Soft drinks can be refilled as much as you like, you can pick between coke, Fanta, Lemonade and other soft drinks.

Un fast food in cui mangiare solo pollo in tutti i modi possibili, grande varietà di salse, i bicchieri di coca e aranciata si possono riempire tutte le volte che si vuole. Un pò più caro di KFC, ma ci sta.

Love this place for a chilled dinner...cheap & cheerful.

Helpful staff and tasty options to eat. I recommend a lot the chicken wrap; it was served very fast and it was very tasty. I also recommend the hot sauce

Food was tasty, hot and fresh. Really clean restaurant and service was efficient.

Prefer Yate Nando to Filton. It is a lot less noisy and more fitted for children with special needs. It's very clean the staff are not in your face, 247 and are very friendly and polite. Plus the music wasn't blaring out.

I came in last week for lunch with my daughter- it’s a really nice Nando’s, the staff were really friendly and helpful, the food came out pretty quickly and was delicious, and it has a really nice atmosphere that actually makes you forget that you’re in a retail park in Yate, which is always a blessing

Great Nandos possibly the best in Bristol staff are all excellent, friendly and professional food is always quick and cooked to perfection can get busy but they will normally try and get you in as quick as possible

Only wing (Hot one) is good, but overall Nando is not worthy with the wait. Worse customer service ever. One time I went there they told it would be 1 hour wait. I waited over an hour, just to be told there is no chicken left, not at all. Another time I ordered online, waited over 1 hour just to be seen the estimation time keep adding up. Also their rice is very dry. Completely a waste of time. If I could give 0 star I would.

Nice restaurant, fairly quick with orders and food coming out warm, only issue is sometimes the chicken can be very dry!

Terrible staff 1 hour for food. They were all arguing and angry with each other. All the customers discussing with each other how awful it was.

Firstly, there was no salt on offer in the restaurant, so we couldn't season our food. Secondly, we paid for 2 bottomless tubs of frozen yogurt but there were no tubs so they gave us bowls and we couldn't take any yogurt home like we'd originally planned. Only managed to fill one bowl half-way because the machine was empty/broken. We asked for some help but no one told us what was wrong with the machine. They gave us only ONE tiny brownie to make up for the fact that we could not have our bottomless yogurts (the brownie cost less money than the yogurt). So instead of having refillable tubs of yogurt like we'd paid nearly £7 for, we ended up with half a bowl of yogurt and a very small, dry brownie. We weren't even given an apology and it seemed like the staff didn't even care that we were unsatisfied! Total waste of money and would definitely not go there again!

Disappointed - fast food trying to be a restaurant. This was our first ever visit to a Nando’s although we did try and get a table at the Reading restaurant just off the M4 but they couldn’t seat us for 45 minutes on a Wednesday evening and you can’t book in advance, so went elsewhere. Back to Yate - although we got a table straight away, no one told us there would be a 30 minute wait for food. We ordered food and drinks on the app, no menus. We had to ask after nearly 40 minutes, where our food was. The waitress we asked was rude, huffed and said “you would have been told there was a 30 minute wait for food” but assured her we hadn’t been told. One of the meals was wrong so had to be sent back, this was corrected quickly though. Drinks did not arrive and had to ask again for them. No one checked on us during our meal. Staff standing around chatting. The glasses we received were dirty. Food was average, I’d say KFC was much nicer. Some staff were not friendly and the place looked like it needed a good clean! After friends raving about Nando’s, I wouldn’t return. Nothing special, just a fast food place trying to be a restaurant - without the “fast” part of the food! Definitely not worth the price.

Starters always come at the same time as the rest of the meal so then they don't get finished, could you not hand over some houmous at the till? I can stand aside and wait a minute for it. The floor was also really dirty with squashed chips, broccoli and tissues.

Big chicken burger is not recommended. My companion had the pita, which is way easier to eat and tasted way better. Besides the food, the prices are fairly high for what you get. Though the quality is better than other fastfood restaurants. Value for money is still ok.

The services was not quite fast and the facility was not as clean as we expected. The food was OK though.

Wasn't a great visit, we had to use the app to sort out our own order, no menus. Jt was over £8 for what is listed at 4 chicken thighs, these must be micro chickens with the size of meat we received. Plus an extra £4 for two sides (there were just ok), it took around 45-50 mins from ordering to recieving (not including the 10 mins waiting for a table. The website show's that the restaurant also does home delivery and collection which may explain the very slow service for such a limited menu. If you are not in a rush and like light meals then give it a go.

Front of house staff were great, but took 45 minutes for our food to arrive, restaurant wasn’t even very busy. Need to stop churning out so many takeaway orders when you’ve got dine in customers sitting waiting, or get more kitchen staff to handle the load better.

Our order didn't go through properly but because of the apologies we received from the staff this is still a 4 star review. Things do occasionally go wrong, but with good customer service you can still have happy customers (especially when the halloumi was the best ever).

You can order from the table using a QR code - we were seated and served really quickly. Really efficient and plesant servers.

***DISCRIMINATION AGAINST VETERANS*** We visited this Nando’s Branch in Yate after Christmas and the Branch Manager refused my defence discount code for a measly 10% off. I served for 8 years in Her Majesty’s Armed Forces as a Combat Engineer in the Falklands War, BOAR, Cyprus et al; was injured during this time / during my service, have lifelong injuries from my service to my country and was decorated by HM The Queen for my service. The manager callously and flippantly brushed off mine and other veteran’s service due to their”new policy” requiring ID cards for veterans that do not even exist. It’s a cop out to save money and it’s a smack in the face to those who have served. If you’re a veteran or support our troops then do not visit this Nando’s or their branch! Appalling service!

The food isn't the best but it is edible. However, I am not fond of the burger buns, but I did enjoy the grilled chicken wrap. This restaurant will never replace McDonald's, but it is acceptable as an alternative.

Nice and friendly place to call in for a bite. Managed to get a table without booking within 5 minutes. They have a new way of ordering your meals noe. You scan the bar code on the tabletop. This takes you straight to the restaurants menu where you can scroll and select your options and add them on like you are shopping. When you have finished you sign in and pay online. The food came out fairly promptly and there was plenty and it was hot and exactly what the six of us had ordered. If my chicken burger roll had been a lot softer and my chips not burnt and dry i would have given it 5 stars. Very relaxed atmosphere and the staff were good.

Didn't book, popped in and got a table quick, couldn't work the app but ordered at the bar was quick enough. Food hot and tasty, corn on the cob excellent, would go again.

Sticky table's! Even after asking for our table to be cleaned! Other tables were the same. (You could here the paper menus unsticking from them when customers picked them up) Filthy front door & handle. The glass panel & the side screen next to the waiting area was also filthy with dust & food debris. Mentioned the door to the 1st greeter whom replied, 'oh yes we were supposed to clean it but had no time yet!' The vegetarian food we had was ok. Some staff need to be trained more with customer service skills also.

Banging food, look at them portion sizes, all the staff were completely lovely, even gave us halloumi sticks for free as they made too many. Lovely staff and amazing meal 😋
