Coffee & Pitta House Greek Restaurant in South Gloucestershire

Me and my friend decided to come into the coffee and pita house on Saturday. The server Florin was impeccable! perfect service and happy to assist with anything we asked. The food was very good and a large variety on the menu to pick from. Would go back again for sure

Tried this place 3 times as its the nearest place to me that serves Greek food. It’s not bad, but also nothing special. 2 out of 3 times I think someone must’ve accidentally dropped a bag of salt as skepasti was bearly edible. Meat is well seasoned, veggies and chips are good, but the £4 portion of tzatziki is nothing short of a joke! Literally 2 spoonfuls, I’m afraid that’s unacceptable. If you really looking for some good and authentic Greek food go to Taka Taka or The Athenian. Won’t be coming back for the 4th one I’m afraid.

Working locally so popped in for food. A great menu, some of the best souvlaki I've had! Highly recommended.

My fiancé ordered the greek salad, pork gyros and the hummus for lunch on Saturday. Then was feeling ill 30 mins after eating then 45 mins in he had terrible diarrhea. Then it was around 9.00pm and then he was sick repeatedly throughout the night until 5 am . However the diarrhoea has not stopped and I'm writing this Sunday afternoon. He is in constant pain, will not be using again 😡😡😡😡😡

Had a lovely (large) lunch here. Can def recommend the halloumi wrap and courgette fritters with tzatsiki. Also the milkshake and espresso were delicious (so I had more!) Waiter was friendly, service was quick. Nice sunny seating area outside. A decent but not huge number of other customers.

You stolen my heart at the moment you touch my lips. Honey it’s feta! Amazing chefs mind blowing tastes. For Our starter we had ‘the honey it’s feta (Saganaki)’ OMG Delicious!! For main, we had Chicken kebab & Pork gyros both serve with chips salad, Greek pitta and Tzatziki 😋 absolutely delicious Our server Kris was absolutely amazing, looked after us very well. Very attentive and running the restaurant at the same time. 5 star service! The restaurant was very clean, no more sticky table mats as it used to be. The new management has made a great improvement in every aspect. Well done team B.O.H & F.O.H

The food here is a 10/10 all day long but the attitude of the staff let's them down.

Great place for lunch. Big portions, reasonably priced and food was hot. Lots of Greek nationals, so it must be good! The only slightly negative thing was the service was a bit slow on a Sunday lunch. It looked like there was only one (very busy) waitress, but she was pleasant and cheerful.

Excellent value for money and by far the best place to have a tylixto souvlaki or skepasti in Bristol. Love the zuchini balls too and their fluffy tzatziki! Amazing and warm service too!

It's my favourite local spot for a coffee and authentic greek food. Recently, it went through some refurbishment and looking really nice. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Our family have been regularly coming here for gyros wraps for several years. Good is always spot on. Seems that there are new owners but the food is still great and staff are friendly. Love this little taste of Greek in Filton.

Great food for takeaway and quick, interior needs a touch of work

I don't expect to enter a restaurant and be accused of previously leaving a bad review when I didn't. I told the manager I am not Joanna more than 5 times and he kept on accusing me of not enjoying the food. I felt discriminated against for being a female. The food and waitress were really good the first time I went, but on this occasion I couldn't even sit down. This has never happened to me before.

I'm sorry but that's unbeatable Meat and fries and sauce came all together, all cold already under cold sauce and fries wet, all mush .

Visité aquí con la familia. Pedí el plato, algunas carnes eran agradables, pero el cerdo estaba crudo, me mordí en él y estaba frío como si hubiera salido de la nevera. Se lo hice saber al camarero y me dijo que tal vez hacía frío ya que había estado sentado en nuestra mesa un rato, pero no fue así. Lo reemplazaron, pero habían terminado nuestra comida para cuando salió (el reemplazo aún necesitaba más tiempo para cocinarse) Tampoco había cucharas de servir para el plato, y la ensalada se roció en aceite de oliva por lo que no muy grasosa y flácida. Lamentablemente no es un lugar que volvería a visitar, una pena ya que hay margen de mejora.

Visited on a recommendation from an online review. Only a half hour drive away, all I can say is “absolutely amazing” pork gyros was superb and it was my £6.90 a cracking deal. Intended to sit in but our child fell asleep in the car (typical lol) Pitta was cooked to perfection, soft yet had that bite you want. Pork was melt in your mouth, salad was fresh and the chips were cooked well. The sauce made it, fresh and tasty. Definitely be back soon

The food was excellent we ordered for pick up for 5 of us the food was delicious the portions were an excellent size inside the restaurant was nice and the customer service was excellent this will be a regular takeaway now amazing

Have ordered from Coffee and Pitta before, and are absolutely in love with their Pork Souvlaki Gyros!! So tender and tasty, I cannot get enough of it. I also wanted to thank them for helping me today as the delivery driver for Just Eat did not deliver, and we had to order again through Deliveroo, but the person who took my call (I am so sorry, I forgot to ask for your name) kindly made sure we got out food fast, hot and delicious and was very kind and understanding over the phone!!

The food is amaaaaazzzing!! We had rice and lamb stew and pork souvlaki. Absolutely worth every penny. And I learned to say « gyro » the right way! Embarrassing I’ve said it the wrong way for decades. I wish I were joking 🙃

So delicious, gyros had lots of flavour and felt very authentic. Service was great too. Definitely will be going back

Great food and friendly service

Stumbled across this little gem at 6pm on a Monday when visiting my son at UWE. We were the only customers but I’m sure it gets busier later. The food was absolutely yummy - really tasty fresh ingredients. Very authentic. Family run business. Nice to visit somewhere that isn’t a chain. Can’t wait to return!

Had an excellent chicken gyros here, hit the spot and great price. Asked for a cup of tea and they gave me the full set! Although the tea was a bit weak tbh.. Great value and nice place to sit.

This is a wonderful little cafe. The staff are very friendly, the food is very tasty and represents good value for money. In the few months I've lived in the areas I've been there three times and each time it's been a good experience. I'm told their coffee is great too 😁

Unreal little gem of a cafe/restaurant. Came in on a Sunday morning not expecting much and ordered the Greek omelette which was out of this world. Good service, good price, great tasting food

Delicious gyros. Service could have been faster (I was there during lunch break, and it took around 30 minutes to get food). Unpretentious venue in terms of location/atmosphere, but quiet and spacious.

Amazing food!! So tasty and fresh! I put a big take away order in for work colleagues, everyone absolutely loved it. The order was perfect and a few freebies thrown in. Can't fault it, We will definitely be back!

Compared to other greek places this place is very good. The meat was very tender and it made for great leftover snacks. Would be good if you offered sauces, a house made chilli sauce would be great.

Today we visited the Coffee & Pitta House! This was our 1st time! And omg! It was so yunmy! I ordered the Mixed Grill for 2! I shared it with my 3 children! It was massive! And we took some home! The Staff were so friendly and welcoming! The children enjoyed the board games & colouring that was available! The food was lovely and hot! And good value for money! Highly recommend! We will definitely come again!

Fantastic! I had an iced latte with hazelnut syrup (£4) and a halloumi pita (£6.90). Great coffee, great food, lovely staff and warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Honestly words do not justify how amazing the food is here not to mention the quality atmosphere and service. Anna and Family have truly created some magic here i visited for the first time in July i now come at least once a week if not twice. The pork Gyros with Tirosolata is my fav go to but honestly everything is incredible with such a homely vibe and you can tell the food is fully authentic and made with passion but dont take my word for it honestly check it out your leave wanting more and will need to return to satisfy ur cravings

Me and my wife frequent this place often after playing sport. There is no better food or place to get it than here. Delicious, every time without fail. Value for money in todays climate is hard to find, well stop looking, this is the place!

It's one of the most nice greek food restaurants in Bristol and I am telling this as a Greek myself. The meat tastes really good and the atmosphere there is very warm and friendly. I would highly recommend it especially if you are with friends, get the meat platter. I ordered a skepasti and one gyros for my fiancé and they tasted the same as if I was in Greece. I tried many places in Bristol but this one was the only with good greek food and hospitality. And if you fancy a cake I would recommend portokalopitta (orange cake) as it was ready made and fresh but also baklava and the other cakes were also nice.

Enjoyed the food here and the staff were lovely. The prices are super reasonable. We went at like 5pm so it was super quiet as it's a bit of a strange time to eat but they always seem to be pretty busy at lunchtimes. The bread was great

Honestly i can not shout how much i love it here easily come once sometimes twice a week the food is incredible the service amazing such a lovely family restaurant you really are welcomed with open arms & amazing food 100/10 recommend!!

What a lovely place. The food is great, very fresh, beautifully cooked, and friendly staff. Between us we had the halloumi wraps (amazing) and the pork and chicken kebab (enormous) with some gorgeous homemade courgette fritters, chips sprinkled with Greek oregano and lots of freshly made tzatziki. Everything was delicious. As if we weren't stuffed enough someone suggested trying some of their desserts. So we tested three types of baklava, and a fantastic 'milk cake' made on the premises - imagine a milky sponge with caramel sauce on top, very light and rich at the same time. Do go and try it for yourself, it is far quieter than it should be. The staff were smiley and lovely, a very enjoyable long lunch thank you!

We stopped here in the search of good Greek food. What we encountered wasFantastic authentic Greek food served with a smile on a very friendly atmosphere . We had the pork gyros plate, chicken souvlaki, pitta, hummus, tzatziki and halloumi all washed down with ice cold Mythos! The Quality was excellent and flavours were to die for . I cannot recommend this little gem of a place highly enough. Having lived in Greece for a yr I am in a good position to critique .. trust me .. this place is fabulous!

Best gyros and souvlaki in Bristol by far!

This place is so lovely - dined in a few times which is a great experience. So quick, efficient and nothing is too much trouble. This is also now my go to for takeaways which is the exact same standard in food. I would recommend 100%

Went there recently. Comfy chairs to sit, really really tasty home made food, very very generous portions, lovely atmosphere and staff, welcoming, great value for money, and an extremely pleasant experience all round. 10 times better than other similar places in central Bristol. I would highly recomend zucchini fritters . Will definately go back.

Ordered a takeaway, on a Friday night so expect it will have been busy. Delivery was quick, and the food was really nice. Priced well for the portions too. Hope to visit in person for the full experience!

A great family run restaurant with the best greek food in town

Good value food and very tasty. There are slightly lighter options and a larger plates food selection. There is seating both in and outside, and the staff have always been really friendly.

A very casual Greek restaurant, staff are lovely and will help you with the menu. Warm and friendly environment, it doesn’t often get full so you don’t need to book a table. Food is also offered for takeaway/delivery. My pictures show the mixed gyros pitta and the mixed gyros chips - both excellent value for money, fresh, good quality. Street parking is available along the main road but it does get full/busy so you may need to try the side streets. PS - would highly recommend the “honey it’s feta” starter - so so delicious and only £4.50!

came with my partner today, server was lovely but we ordered a side of halloumi and got charged for a halloumi and fries pitta and then two cesar salads which werent cesar salads, just some lettice, chicken and bacon eith mayonaise.
