My small group visited early morning and enjoyed breakfast.....raw oats and fruit was my choice, not often of menus I have found. Excellent. The room was quiet but the staff member serving us was a pleasant young lady and service was excellent. We had visited in order to go round the market early so it was perfect for us. Would definitely visit again. My style of venue ;-)

booked restaurant after receiving good reviews , however this was not the case. went on saturday night at 8 and we were the only people, this should have been a warning. ordered drinks- mine was a coke had to send back as was flat and cannot have been from a can or bottle. waitress was poor everything you asked her she was not sure about. ordered 3 different starters between four of us. i had crab salad that was tasteless. also ordered was what stated on menu as being smoked salmon but turned out to be a smoked salmon fillet. portions were generous. steaks were ordered and both were warm not hot- mine was cold and had to send back, got a new steak but was cheap quality and very gristly. only good things were chips. manager did try and and assist, however would have thought that because of issues a deduction would have been made- nothing!! let no tip as service was poor. when we left at just before 10 only about 6 other people in cafe. would not recommend this place -

Service was terrible ( slow and rude) even though place empty. Also not impressed with food, even though not cheap.

My girlfriend and I went recently to the Atrium Kitchen, for the first time. Walked straight in, no queues, no hassle, no waiting time! We got to pick where we sit and had a personal waiter all evening, who was very helpful, and had great recommendations. Before going, I would suggest looking on their websites for deals, as they sometimes have them. The food was a little pricy, as well as the cocktails, but you definitely get your money's worth. They serve very generous portions of starters, mains and desert. The ambiance is great - it has a very open, spacious look to it, and even though it may seem a little loud, you do not have to speak any louder to hear anyone on your table. One thing to bare in mind is parking. Ideally I would suggest taking the train to Camden Town (on the Northern Line) and walk through the town, and experience the town as well - it is one of a kind! For two people, the bill (with discount) did still come to around £55 but for a very occasional meal, this was a fair price, for a three course meal each, for two people. Overall, I would recommend you going there, even if it is just for a few drinks - the ambiance is great, and the waiting staff are brilliant! Will definitely be going there again.

Not knowing the area and needing to eat before we went to a concert at the Roundhouse, we chose this smart, modern looking restaurant for its great location and because the menu looked good. There was a reasonable choice and the food was good, although pricey, but despite being virtually empty, the service was very slow. The staff weren't the friendliest bunch and the surroundings were bright, lots of glass, very modern but lacked any atmosphere because there were so few people in, although we were there quite early. It was OK and we enjoyed the meal but it could have delivered a lot more.

We don't know this area but visited on a very busy weekday lunchtime in Camden. Although the street food looked really tempting in the surrounding market I really wanted somewhere to sit and relax and this looked like just the spot. With lots of glass it looked clean and inviting. The heat hit us as soon as we walked in and we almost left immediately. However we spotted some portable air con units and decided to park ourselves close to one of them. They were on a bit of a loser though as the windows were open too so you could just about catch a breeze from them. As a new build (it can't have been open very long), surely a glass building should have been designed with air conditioning? We ordered brunch and the food was fine. Nothing extraordinary but well cooked and decent presentation. The restaurant was quiet, strange when everything around was buzzing. Staff were OK - polite but not terribly interested. It's a bit of a trek to the toilets but they were super clean. 12.5% service charge which I hate - completely unnecessary when there are only 2 people eating - it should be choice. I would be unlikely to revisit - there has to be better places - it was.....OK.

After an afternoon spent mooching around the Camden and Stables Markets, I popped in here for drinks and to rest my weary feet. A new attraction and not long opened, it is bright and spacious and, apparently, part of a complex which seems to comprise offices/office units. Lots of glass and windows give the establishment a bright, sunny and open outlook onto the hustle and bustle of the markets below. I ordered a drink and studied this new all day hangout which is now open for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner - and snacks when required. Usual menu catering for fish & chips, hamburgers, sandwiches and deli sharing platters - though evening meals seem to be more substantial. The place has a very relaxing and unhurried atmosphere as I enjoyed reading the newspaper with my drink. Not many patrons were in but, come 5 p.m., some office types came in for drinks and burgers. The staff are very helpful - especially when I needed to find the ladies toilet - which is quite a long trek along the outside corridor within the complex. I cannot quite get to grips as to what is the main theme or purpose of this establishment. Restaurant? Piano Bar? Coffee Lounge? Lounge Bar? Hangout? Vantage Point? All the glass seems to give the place an open aspect but a certain anonymity and little character. Maybe when I go back next year, I'll be able to pin down what this place is all about. Atrium means entrance-hall or the principal room of an ancient Roman house. Maybe all will be revealed in time! Please note that this place is not disabled friendly as there is a long flight of steps/stairs up to it. I would most certainly return - just out of curiosity!

Noisy music and a terrible pianist. Tomato soup was full of tomato skin ( hard, unchewable, had to spit it out). Carrot side dish was drearily presented, almost raw but did have nice flavour. The Szechuan sauce on my rice noodles was overpoweringly strong - had to force myself to swallow it. Menu said cod loin in black sesame seed but it was white sesame seeds. Bitter chocolate in my rice pudding dessert wasn't bitter. The drinks were superb - beer, superb creamy head and my mango, ginger, lemongrass drink was amazing.

I was going to begin this review by saying "This review is based on a soft-launch visit, to this estbalishment in its second week.." but, it turns out, having posted my experience on Twitter, the restaurant replied saying they were officially open, so the following caveats don't really apply. But having written this review in the restaurant I thought, I'd stand by it so... Any good restaurant goer like myself will tell you, you expect things to go wrong during a soft launch. It is, in essence, it's purpose. As a diner you get a discount (in part to accomodate for the failures expected, in part to entice you into a new venue) and the restaurant gets a flow of trial customers. It's a fair deal and In this instance the discount constituted 50% off all food. But a soft launch is also the first time a restaurant has real life customers (often testing on friends and families beforehand) and in truth you do expect the basics to be in place. Sadly at Atrium from start to finish nothing was right. There was no one to greet me as I entered the cavernous venue. The staff are dressed so informally and differently, It's impossible to distinguish them from customers, but eventually I grab someone's attention and am seated. The venue is barely a thrid full, yet no waiter approaches me for ten minutes and it is only my intervention that illicits a drink. A reasonable glass of Prosecco at £5.50 was actually quite acceptable. The one big surprise is this restaurant serves wine in the standard measures it should be served in (175ml & 250ml) and priced appropriately. Unlike many London bars & restaurants who offer a 125Ml (a champagne serving) as a standard serving (not a small as it should be) in wine to charge you you more for less. So gold star for that. While I was waiting, I tried to log onto their FREE? WiFi. You don't need to login to a free Wi-Fi, if you're asking me for my contact details you're charging me. Admittedly not in cash but in information that is of massive value especially when you log in via social media giving the supplier not just your own details but everyone you're attached too with all the metadata associated with it. Companies pay £Millions for this kind of info. This no payment, not FREE! I ordered the Fish Goujons, chips & salad. Which turned out to be an uninviting dish, that had little appeal. The home-made tartare sauce would have been better if it had been bought from a shop. No checks from waiting staff if everything was OK (probably because they knew it wasn't), no offer of condiments. The service was totally abhorrent. Constantly on the look out for someone to serve. My dinner (3 items - main, desert & drink) were all brought by separate people who happened to be walking by. Desert the Bitter Chocolate, milk baked rice & Mint, was a glutinous over flavoured jelly, with an under flavoured rice thing - that was way too small. Any attempts at artistic flourish were half hearted at best. The live piano playing would have been a nice touch but the venue is totally inappropriate for it acoustically. The echoing of conversation drowning out all but the odd voluminous chord. Making the music sound disjointed and unpleasant (nothing to do with pianist is should be pointed out). Too add insult too injury desperate to go to the toilet staff kept me holding on for 10mins while waiting for my final bill, but I broke and excused myself before it arrived. I could have walked out straight to the open air from the toilet as they were external to the restaurant down a corridor and in some ways wish I had. The space didn't feel like it had been designed for a restaurant rather for offices that maybe didn't quite make it. It took another 5 minute wait with me leaning over the bar to finally be given the opportunity to pay. On the first attempt, they tried to charge me full price and for the final insult, they had actually had the gaul to leave the service charge on the bill. The quicker serving staff in London, realise a tip is for providing excellent service, not what they are paid to do, the better for all of us. The total cost was £20 with the 50% discount on food and tip, but I still felt overcharged. I would certainly never return. But it might improve.... though I doubt it!
