Full narks as this long-established restaurant keeps the atmophere and excellent food going even when road works going on outside! Not noticeable at night anyway and some nights they havs live music of a smooth jazzy nature. A favourite calm and grown-up place for me and my friends to meet up

Absolutely awful don’t bother going for breakfast as you will not be served until lunch. No one in there but still a 45 minute wait for eggs on toast! now here is the kicker the scrambled eggs was on the toast and the butter sent separately. How’s that work. ? It doesn’t ! Maybe the staff should ask simple questions! Never again.

waiter was nice however although the food didn’t take too long it arrived slightly cold and the burger was abit dry in addition to this the price was a shocker it came to £106 for 2 burgers a few sides and 2 drinks (£8 for a mocktail) and £11 for water!!! will definitely not be going again absoloute rip off

This has to be the most unwelcoming restaurant I’ve ever been to. A while back, they were doing a raffle for charity, I bought a ticket and won a feel meal. Went back to claim it a few weeks later, with the ticket in tow only to be told by the manager that “we can’t just give you free food”. Yes really. After sometime, I visited the restaurant again. Waited at the counter for 35 mins as someone in the queue was ordering for a large group. Fine, but after finally ordering our food, waited nearly 40 mins and it still hadn’t arrived. Apparently it didn’t enter their system and the receipt I’d been given wasn’t even mine. When I complained they took my email address to send me vouchers. No voucher ever arrived. Stupidly went back yesterday after a long time. It was early, place was empty and there was one person ordering in front of me. While it was clear that the customer wasn’t sure what she wanted to order, after she did, the member of staff prolonged the process with general chit chat. I stood there for 15 mins listening while at least three other members of staff floated around treating me like I was invisible. One of them did finally come to serve me as we started to talk about whether to just leave. There’s dust gathered on the shelves, crumbs on the seats, cutlery isn’t the cleanest and once I was given a glass with a huge smear of red lipstick around the rim. I think I’ve finally learnt my lesson.

I am a local so been here a good few times including today. All staff is always lovely and especially Thelma who always seems to be doing a lot to maintain an amazing atmosphere and making guests feel very welcomed. If theres ever issues from customers or the teams side their immediately resolved with no further problems. Keep up the great work to all the staff that work there 👍

Food was great and food came quick. when asked if everything was ok asked for extra drink and was told we don’t take orders at the table can be done on the app or at the bar. Phone was playing up and went to the bar to order extra drink during meal. Can only imagine what it must be like for older People ordering as was all done on the app which was very slow. Wouldn’t recommend if you don’t have good phone coverage…. What happened to table service? I get that a lot of places are now encouraging devices to order but just felt it is unnecessary and not very encouraging to come back.

Delicious food, great staff and well priced. Would 100% recommend to anyone in town looking for a bite to eat. Can be busy at most times and you may have to wait for a table but don't let that affect your experience. Will definitely be returning.

I had eagerly anticipated dining at Havarva in London, having made a reservation three weeks in advance. They required a deposit via credit card, which was understandable given the restaurant’s popularity. However, just one minute before our scheduled arrival, we received a call from the concierge informing us that the restaurant would not be operating that evening and that our reservation was canceled. This was extremely disappointing, especially after all the effort made to secure a table. When we arrived at the location, the staff spoke to us in a very rude and disrespectful manner, which only added to the frustration. I was truly upset by how the situation was handled. To make matters worse, even online the restaurant still appeared to be open, creating further confusion and disappointment. This experience was deeply frustrating and unprofessional, and I would hesitate to recommend this place to anyone

It’s fine but I wouldn’t rush back. The room is noisy, with no soft surfaces to absorb sound. It was also hot and they have those stupid chairs with backs that will not hold a jacket. Food was decent (although the menu is less varied than at Tas, over the river on Borough High Street) but they had run out of both of our initial choices of wine. Annoyingly, they do not take cash.
