I was met with a warm smile from the girl. I showed her my voucher and she poured me the drink into a glass. I also asked about the kids sundae that I have had on a previous occasion. I ordered one of those as I like icecream. There was not many in there and it was a nice atmosphere. I would gladly go again there as it is quite and calm.

Great atmosphere today I was able to watch the football and eat I booked the table via website they tried their hardest to accommodate my needs bar staff were friendly and helpful bogof on cocktails 😁 spoke with staff member Kirsty lovely girl so friendly

Cannot believe how this place as changed. First impressions the windows were dirty and the toilet wall in the gents by the hand dryer was black. Food was of poor quality and standard. I recon the chicken winds had been microwaved and not fried .. such a shame it used to be so good will be I no rush to return.

We visited today for our daughters birthday meal. The food and service was good. The cleanliness of the place was disgusting tables were sticky and dirty. We had to move chairs round because they were absolutely filthy. This was at 12 midday

Took my partner and two teenagers for lunch today. Had to swap all the seats to find clean ones . The tables where sticky the place looked dirty. Shame the food wasn't bad.

Food was really nice. Morgan was very helpful on the bar as well as Hayley.

Ideal pub lunch menu for veggies & vegans too. Airy, light rooms, outdoor covered seating area & clean toilets here. Entrance fine for walkers/wheelchairs with car park for lounge & bar on two roads. Bar games, T V screens with sport, we liked the lively background music here. Some say furniture is "tired looking" but it's comfy & functional. Real ales & good selection of wines, lagers, ciders. We enjoyed the simple fish & chips, mushy peas deal which comes with small pots of tartare sauce NOT the awkward tearing sachets most pubs have. Manager FRANCESCA is welcoming, efficient & helpful with a "hands on approach". Worth a visit during weekdays here.

I was expecting better, my steak was cremated on the one side and you can't blame the skillet, one more staff member was needed as bar service could of been quicker, apart from that the only two staff members were friendly and helpful

I driven past so many times I thought I would pop in for an evening meal. Service and food is spot on. We had the 2 meals of £13 and they were nice big portions, staff at front of house are very welcoming . Highly recommend

First time had my daughters 5th birthday here and couldn’t fault the place everything was great ! And now had my baby shower on Saturday 10.08.2024 there and can say how happy I was with service and food . Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. Staff very lovely and friendly. Had great atmosphere to enjoy the special day. Definitely gonna come back .

Came here for a family birthday meal, was served by Kirsty and Francesca, service was fast, staff were lovely. The atmosphere was soothing. The food was quick and very yummy. Some of the best service i’ve received in a long time. Will definitely be coming back!

Absolutely disgusting service. Manager very rude... Given a wrong order twice. Manager was no help.. she needs more experience!!!! Of how to run a restaurant.. food burnt.. starter was very nice but the rest was disgusting cold and burnt...

We’ve been here a few times before it changed hands and the foods been great. Came back tonight and it could not be worse, we sent 2 out of 4 meals back and were told that the chef disagreed and it wasn’t burnt just ‘char grilled!’ The burger literally crunched as you ate it, it had clearly been left on the grill for too long and no accountability was taken by the chefs or staff. No way we will be coming back which is a shame. Steer clear!

Service and atmosphere is good but the food is really bad.

We decided to go support our local pub, I have never been so discussed with the quality of food, when I spoke to a staff member he told me me it’s the product, so you mean you send out dried meat it was that dry the ends had curled over. I sent it back again the quality of food was disgusting, I would never send any of our friends or family to eat at this Green King pub.

We booked in and after arriving was told by the bar staff that the kitchen was closed, obviously disappointed and frustrated myself and my girlfriend spoke to Gemma and explained, she was lovely and apologised and after checking with the kitchen said we could order but by that point we had decided otherwise. We then had Chloe who came over and apologised and explained the situation to us and was extremely good, she told us that they were honouring bookings but not walk-ins so I assume there was a miscommunication, she gave us a generous gift voucher and both ladies dealt with us and the situation very well, it turned a very poor experience into a much more positive one and we will be going back with the voucher to try their venue again.

Came here for a beer kids had some food also which was decent and a good price. Really nice in the sunshine to sit outside and watch the world go by.

Food arrived cold and wasn’t great quality, took ages to come and first main and last main were about 10 minutes apart. Meat full of gristle, cheap ingredients obviously been used for everything else. Cramped, scratched up tables and unwelcoming atmosphere. Bogs stink also

A group of us visit every week for the 2 mains for 1 or the BOGF Classic burger offer on Thursdays. Good value for money and the food is nice. Kirsty usually looks after us. She always makes sure we have what we need and are satisfied with our meals.

The lady that served me who was new was the best part about the trip, she was lovely. Unfortunately the food was awful- honestly the worst meal I’ve ever eaten. I say eaten, I didn’t really eat it. The steak was full of gristle and fat which made it impossible to cut in most places, one mouthful I had was okay, the other I had to spit out as it was just pure gristle. I essentially just paid around £15 to just eat peas. I said I’m gluten free when I ordered, the lady didn’t know about the allergen menu so I asked for steak and chips which she said was fine and she put a note on. When it came it came with a jacket potato. Who wants to go out for food and eat a jacket potato? Certainly not for the same price as a normal meal. I felt the waitress was rude about it when I said that wasn’t what I ordered and asked if I wanted salad instead. I’m not paying that much for salad. My father in law swapped me for his chips, because I’m an adult and should be able to choose whether or not I risk having chips right?... The manager came over to apologise (and offered a free drink- all I wanted was no hassle to be honest) and again blamed the girl at the bar as she’s new. Support her better then, don’t leave her on the bar taking orders if she’s new until she feels confident. All she did while I was ordering was apologise every two minutes which says to me she doesn’t feel like she’s been given enough training or support. No use blaming her, why didn’t it get flagged when it went through to the kitchen… needless to say the meal was terrible anyway. Feel a bit annoyed you’ve had about £60 off me today.

8 of us visited this evening to celebrate my birthday. All our meals was perfect and we all had a dessert too. Sticky toffee cheesecake was amazing. The quiz was on and we joined in. was a great evening. We'll be back on a Tuesday again to do the quiz. Our waitress was Darcie and she made sure I enjoyed my birthday.

Solid Place to hang out and get some food

Lovely food, great atmosphere and the staff work so hard especially when it’s busy! Food was brought to us by Abbie, she was lovely and very friendly making sure our meals were ok and that we had everything we needed, will definitely return!

I went last week & asked for the gluten free menu, At the bar I was mentioned I also have a dairy intolerance I was helped and chose a meal.. we ordered at 7:57 by the time I’d chosen off the allergen free tablet menu the order went through at 8:05 I overheard the chef tell the lady taking my order. ‘ it’s past 8pm’ like I get it, but it was barely 5 minutes later and the reason was I had to check the allergen menu. Meals come For myself and my children… children’s menu sounds amazing but what is delivered is appalling I didn’t notice any difference in size which is strongly unappealing when my eldest child ordered food from the BIGGER APPETITES menu his meal Looked alike my daughter’s SMALL appetites. My steak was pathetic in size for the price, peas cold, sure the jacket potato was cooked by blowing on it . I voiced my concerns and my children’s puddings were upgraded. And my meal was refunded However still won’t be returning. Menus for kids need updated and sizing needs to match the prices you ask. Thanks but whoever is to visit don’t expect the food to match the pictures :) Other than that the lady who served me was professional the 4 star rating is for her, but the chef’s unprofessional comment infront of customers was uncalled for and made me feel a nuisance. Thankyou but no thankyou :)

All round good food. Service was a little on the slow side but I suspect there were fewer than normal staff, but on the whole totally acceptable. Toilets were clean.

Went as a party of 10 for my Dad's birthday meal. Ordered our meals at the bar and all seemed good. Once food started to come out, that's when it all went wrong. They brought out meals that no one ordered and got three other orders wrong. The wrong meals were taken back to be corrected, when it came to light one meal ordered wasn't even on the order. The three orders that were wrong were put right and finally brought out. Meanwhile everyone else gad already finished eating. The missing meal eventually came out 30 minutes after the corrected meals, which had also been eaten by then. The missing meal was mine. When the server went to serve it to me, I told her it was no longer wanted as everyone else in my party had finished their food and I wasn't going to sit and eat alone. The manager came over abd apologised, saying the guy who took the orders was new and messed up. She offered the table free drinks and dessert free as an apology but by this time my Dad's birthday meal was ruined. Suffice to say, none of us will be going back again, ever.

Nice, clean, airy pub, the steak & ale pie, peas comes with chips or mash & if you expect short crust pastry to be hard, you're wrong, it's nice & soft, looking homemade not mass-produced. Good array of beers, lagers, ciders, spirits & wines here. With entrance for folks with "walkers" or wheelchairs to get in & around fine. Cosy inside or covered patio with greenery, nice out. Table service & bar service good with pleasant Jemma, with screen sports on different matches to view can't fault it!.

I went for a meal with my daughter yesterday and cannot praise the staff enough for going the extra mile, I wish I had gotten the waitresses name. From bringing us fruit, crayons and paper, changing hot plates to cooler ones without asking, the team on shift were a credit to Greene King

Seems lutly oak have took a dip. On top of cooking my mother In-laws fish so I could be used as a missile, they have burnt Emily's hunters chicken, and that's all she could taste, she sent it back and it seems they moved things around and added more cheese. Then there's my burger, not only am I gutted they no longer do the loaded fries, they managed to burn my burnt ends and my burgers, so much that's all I could taste towards the end. Idk if I will come back here

Found this pub randomly when me and my friend went on our weekly new pub hunt. Absolutely loved the location, the outside, the decor, the food and service. A lovely lady served us, loved that she was smiling throughout an extremely busy pub! We waited a very long time for the food but it was soooo busy! So understandable but not acceptable. Decided to go back with my partner because I liked it so much. This time it was different, the service was horrible. It wasn’t busy, but the lady behind the bar obviously didn’t want to be at work. Working in customer service myself, customer service is extremely important to me. There was no friendliness, professionalism or even a smile. Such a shame as I really like this place and the bad customer service put me off. I don’t live local so visiting this pub is like a treat. Food, i recommend the ultimate feast under the sharer section, mac n cheese and hunters chicken. Would I go back? Probably…

The service is aways first class at Lutley Oak. We were looked after by Kez on this visit, but all the service we have had in the past is first class. The meals are tasty hot and served quickly.

Came in today (29/4) - food was outstanding, drinks were great; what a lovely atmosphere and establishment - was served by Becky who was so welcoming and attending to the the table and our needs - and the service she provided just made the food and drinks better. Hoping to return soon

The Lutley Oak offered a great meal for me and my mates. I parked up in their more than adequate car park, where I left my student ID in-case it would cause some issues. Seating in the Lutley Oak was lovely; Me and the boys sat in a booth with nice sofas, and a TV with competitive pool playing in the background. My friend ordered a bowl of chips, and then me and my other friend ordered an All American Chicken burger. The burger came out nicely prepared, very American. The service is only getting two stars as we felt the woman who served us sounded particularly moody and kind of like we were people she didn't like. Apart from that though, food was great, really enjoyed the burger, and the chicken was great! Chips were nice and crunchy, and the onion rings were beautiful. I like the selection you get on your table, with brown and tomato sauce, as well as mayonnaise, and then your typical salt and pepper. the tables also come equipped with serviettes which I thought was nice. Overall, I would recommend The Lutley Oak, the atmosphere is friendly and warm, their application is well-constructed and straight-forward, the food is lovely, and I would go again if it weren't for my college education being over.

Me and my friends visited the lutley oak this evening and I've gotta say we had a brilliant night food was beautiful and the staff was really welcoming the lad on the bar think his name was Morgan was really polite and helpful made my night. It's nice to see a young lad with a smile on his face and enjoying his work.

It was ok. Too much of lads pub even though is an area for families. One of party had to ask for the chips to be exchanged as they were cold. Food was nothing write home about. Just ok

Went for a meal after seeing the new menu online. Was served by Jemma, who was lovely throughout the ordering process and very attentive to our needs, she's an absolute gem and a credit to the place. Food was served promptly and also very delicious, can't wait to go again!

This is a well laid out and fairly large pub/restaurant and part of the Greene King chain. You will find a load of tables inside with some outside and undercover. There is still plenty of space to move around, so you don't feel cramped. There is a well stocked bar, and for sports fans, they have tv's around the building and show matches that are advertised outside. They also have various special events, so cater to a wide number of customers. Families are especially welcome as well as dog owners. Wide range of meals and deserts available and for holders of Blue light cards they offer a discount. Service was quick and food hot and tasty and very reasonable prices. There are a couple of EV charging points for people with electric vehicles. There are two car parks, one on the Stourbridge Road and one on Lutley Mill Road.

Darcy was our waitress and she went the extra mile when we asked her to bring out a birthday cake for a birthday we had for our daughter. Food was great and service was excellent.

We visited the lutley oak for dinner today, placed our order at the bar, the order went slightly wrong but due to this we were very well looked after, great customer service!

Clean and inviting for a family meal, good parking and excellent staff. They have a gluten free menu but it is quite restricted. The pool table on the bar side is a definite plus too. It's on the expensive side but tasty enough that it doesn't feel too much. The downsides though: no pricing on soft drinks, I guess because you are meant to be shamed by asking to let people know you are both a non alcoholic and cheap person? I had beef rib, which came as a single rib, but it was very tasty, even despite the thick fatty layer. Expect to pay extra over your meal price when ordering because they will offer them without mentioning the price or eat your food dry because sauce is a side too I suppose. £20+ per adult should be expected minimum.

We have just visited the Lutley Oak 12th April 2024 545pm... Both carparks was rammed and we didn't expect to get a table. However, we was pleasantly suprised inside we found a non-reserved table and proceeding to order drinks and food. We was served by a pleasant young lady who took our order and asked about upgrading etc... Drinks was served straight away and within 15/20 mins our meals "2 steak pies etc and 2 fish and chips etc" were served. The service was Excellent, Bar staff and service staff was Excellent and Food quality also Excellent. The meals was two for £13.49 bargain. Would recommend and definitely be returning. Keep the prices the same Green King and we will definitely return. The Staff here at The Lutley Oak are a credit to your company.

Let's talk about how awful this place has become, gone down hill massively! We waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for our food, when the food arrived 3 of the orders were wrong. We had request items removed, not substituted but simply removed like Egg taken off but they were brought out with the egg on etc. We ordered a side dish which never arrived, after we had eaten we mentioned it and requested the small refund for just that one item however they went to the kitchen and brought the side dish out as we were leaving. Wow. Awful understanding there and such poor service. The staff didn't care about us, it's that simple. To makes things even better the table next to us ordered and had there order messed up 3 times. 2 different staff members had to deal with it because it was screwed up so much. I won't be returning ever and I recommend everyone stays away. The prices are way too expensive for the bad service and basic food.

Honestly would not recommend to come here for food. Looks like such a lovely place, however the food was beyond tasteless, the chicken wings were pale with bbq sauce just dolloped on top. During the visit it seemed like one person was doing all the work, while others were just chatting by the bar-- we weren't asked how the food was. Its telling as to why we were pretty much the only people there.

Seriously could not rate the food as even qualifying as a 1*.... Chef seems to have no idea how to cook steak!! Our party ordered 4 steaks, 1 rare, 2 medium & 1 well done, all had to be returned as they'd barely seen the heat and were almost raw, upon replacement two were almost cremated and two were well done....... appalling response from management, have to say the waiting staff tried their best but were overruled on every level and we ended up leaving with a full refund but nothing more, definitely will not be going back until we hear the manager and chef have both had their marching orders!!

We regularly use the Lutley for our date nights as it's close by. The food is always top notch and good value. A favourite.

I asked for specific instructions on my burger, they did get it wrong but were lovely about it and replaced it straight away. Amazing service!

My mom loves it here she came with my wife, sister and myself for lunch for my birthday, she was 80 in January and didn't want a party she wanted to go for lunch here again and then my sisters birthday was just this week and she wanted to come here for lunch too so I think that says it all, great menu, great food, great service and staff👏👏👏

Wife had to have another drink as glass was dirty. Cold peas. Meat was tough . Expensive for drinks. Won't be going again
