Nice place but very slow service

Offers unlimited drinks, and the food was great. They also have a working ice cream machine, unlike McDonald's.

At this point, it’s routine to visit Nando’s anytime I’m in the UK no matter the city I’m in. Today I tried the new Mac n Cheese as a side and I was delighted with the flavour. What a great first impression. Having that complimented with a juicy half-chicken surely did the trick. I must say, the coleslaw would not be a 1st pick as a 2nd side next time, I’d recommend going with the spicey rice or veggies instead. Overall, great flavour and quick serving time. So, thank you Nando’s crew for a solid lunch!!

A nandos like no other! We knew exactly what we were getting. Quick, friendly service, but it was a busy Saturday and so it was really quite dirty (especially in the outside area where we were sitting).

I had a nice experience and the food was nice Eny, one of the staff was very nice and she offered great customer service.

Service was dire! Ordered on the app, food brought out at same time as glasses for the bottomless drinks meaning your food is going cold whilst you go and get your drinks! No glasses brought for the ciders ordered. Can't honestly believe you have to get your own cutlery (even Weatherspoons bring this to your table!) Towards finishing our meal we order two more drinks which took 25 mins to come! Yet restaurant very quiet and staff loitering and chatting with each other. No one cleared our empty plates. Saving grace is your food tastes good!

Super tasty. Was visiting Plymouth and my friend insisted we stop by and I’m very glad we did. Impeccable chicken and lovely sauces. Hope to visit again next time I’m in town.

23/04/2024 UPDATE Back again to our favourite Nandos franchise in Plymouth at the Barcode, after a poor experience at the Barbican Leisure park location recently we decided to go back to this one as it was always better food and service wise. And this trip did not disappoint 🙏 Tried the new Smokey Churrasco sauce on my half a chicken and it was delicious, the heat was more than a medium but not too much and the smokey flavour works really well with the flame grilled chicken, everything arrived super hot and tasty. Service was excellent from all staff, from the South African manager who was happy to serve us on the till whilst his staff were clearing tables. Chips had loads of peri salt on, corn on cob was flame grilled and tasty, lovely atmosphere in there again, good music, relaxed vibe even at lunch time, toilets clean and tidy, all staff happy and attentive. Great job everyone. That's what a nandos experience should be 👍 01/01/2022 Great food, better than the other Nandos at Plymouth Barbican Leisure park, service was good. Feels a bit more upmarket and more of a dining out experience than the nandos near Vue cinema. And parking only £2 after 5 👍

Always a good meal in Nando’s. Food tasty and good options for veggies & ones who may be a little more fussy. The macho peas & corn on the cob sides are always a winner! Great quick pit stop if you are hungry and want a good bite to eat to fill you up.

Delivered cold. Plain, Chicken was plain not much sauce in wrap, was terrible. I'd avoid this place personally.

First visit to Nandi s , We had our usual grilled halloumi for starters then butterfly chicken and sides for main which was very good except that there was more chicken skin on the portions than normal, however the seared corn and macho peas were excellent sides, the sauces great especially extra hot 🥵 was tasty 😋 The order was done via the Nandos QR code on the table which brought up the menu, this was very easy to order and pay from. The servers were friendly and attentive, the restaurant relatively new and was spotlessly clean.

Shocking! Front of house staff rude, felt like I was being told off! Had to wait 45 minutes for food, which if the place was rammed, I would understand. But, when people who were seated after me were being served their meals I had to ask what the delay was. No real answer except 'there are 3 orders in front of yours Sir'. I spoke to the Shift Manager when leaving to query this all I was only then told that 'as you ordered the boneless thighs Sir you should have been advised of the delay!' Have been offered a voucher as a way of apology but, seeing as that was 7 days ago and nothing has been received, I feel compelled to write this. Wouldn't mind if it were just me and a few friends but it was my daughter you made wait for that long 😡

Went for a Birthday meal. Slightly annoying we had to wait for a table when we could see bigger tables free to use but hanging on to them for bigger groups. Once seated the table was sticky and menus were covered in dried food. I was on verge of leaving but stuck with it. Ordered meal at the till as app was not apparently working. Server notified me an ingredient was missing from my salad and when asked he didn't know what ingredient? He came back and explained eventually but meal arrived and was great food. We would of had puddings but we felt the choice was limited so went elsewhere. Please note it was not packed but out of the 2 ladies toilets, 1 was blocked and the one in use had no toilet paper. The meal was really really nice but the venue and staff let it down.

Good efficient nandos with all your favourites available, wasn't much of a wait when I went.

Ani was amazing, so helpful and sat us at a great table for my son’s birthday. A great member of staff!

Had an ok time. Had to wait 15 ish minutes to be seated, then a further 45 minutes from ordering through the website, had to watch other customers who came in after get their food. Called a lovely server (Lucy) over, only to find out that our food had been waiting on the side for around 15-20 minutes as take away orders were taking priority over sit in customers (the second restaurant was closed). Lucy then replaced the items that had gone cold and offered us free desserts as an apology for the issues with the service. Will definitely be asking if the other restaurant is open next time so this won't happen again.

i came in to pick up a collect order, one girl didn’t get her name but had her hair in a plait was running round doing everything to do with the orders while few other members of staff were just stood around not doing much, big creds to this girl and hope she is well appreciated as it is very obvious of how hard she works to make sure those orders go out on time

Ordered a delivery, food was cold on arrival with items missing.

Great place. Got my food within 5-10 minutes after ordering even when the place was nearly full on a Thursday afternoon. Eny accommodated our requests and served us in such a caring manner ensuring we enjoyed our visit.

My first ever Nandos 🤩 very tasty, the chicken and hallomi pitta was so juciy and tasty, the piri salted chips were perfect, not hot just flavoursome. Would definitely return

We went there for dinber. Half chicken med hot each, with 4 sides. The Service was fast and efficient. Food was very nice. We had a Portuguese custard pie fir dessert and it was lovely. It was a very pleasant evening

First visit to this newish Nandos in Plymouth, located right inside the Barcode building complete with multi storey car parking. We had our usual grilled halloumi for starters then butterfly chicken and sides for main which was very good except that there was more chicken skin on the portions than normal, however the seared corn and macho peas were excellent sides. The servers were friendly and attentive, the restaurant relatively new and was spotlessly clean.

The worst nandos in the country. Had a collection order and the chicken was incinerated, burger was thrown in the box and items missing. Also 30 minutes late. They gave us a refund but for real, this is the worst nandos I've ever had quite considerably. Avoid and eat out of the closest rubbish bin for a better experience.

Hostess had attitude, or did she really dislike her job? My 1/4 chicken was overcooked and very dry. No handwipes available, you are expected to go and wash your hands at the sink area, strange when chicken wings and legs are finger foods

Much more spacious then the barbican nandos, doesn't feel as crowded. Husband loved the loaded fries and said it will become his go to. Great staff, no difference in customer service between the two both amazing service.

I’m going to keep this short and not so sweet! We have eaten here many times and it has been absolutely fine. The last couple of visits not so much. The food is okay if a little late in arriving. For me it is the staff. We weren’t greeted at all on arrival, when we were we were greeted with a grunt. The staff we scruffy, dirty uniforms and general nonchalant. Pick your game up guys you are better than that. Who doesn’t love a cheeky Nando’s?

Really nice change from a normal burger experience. I'm not a lover of spices so chose the mild option and it was a taste bud explosion. Food wasn't cheap but it is very well presented and tastes great. You also pay for one drink and it's unlimited refills.

It's Nando's, so it's not exactly a la carte, hence 3* for the food. To be honest, I think for the price we paid (£49.75 for 3 meals and a drink) the portions needed to be bigger. So that was another reason for 3*. The service wasn't bad, but we had to wait for a while to get our drinks. The food turned up at the same time in the end. The atmosphere was ok. I think it would be nice to be asked if there's a particular table you'd like to be seated at when it's quiet. Perhaps that could be a thing.

Always love the good and service here. Quick service as always. Entrance is at the back of the barcode which makes it a bit confusing for first timers, tables could be placed a bit further apart to avoid chair clashing from two adjacent tables. Otherwise great good and quick service as always from Nando's

Came here over the weekend with my friend and my children. We were seated really quickly by a friendly server. Once the food was ordered which didn't take long, we waited about 10 mins and it arrived at the table. Really tasty, hot and correct. We love this nandos other branches we have been are rubbish compared to here

Los asientos del exterior están muy sucios y llenos de manchas. La comida muy normal sin más, las botellas de salsa picante se rellenan continuamente no sé sabe cuánto tiempo tendrá la salsa del fondo de la botella.

food is good when they have what you want 50% of the time service is poor cant book a table till you get to the restaurant poor alcohol to have with your meal

Tried to order online, Nando's website said they don't take over the phone orders. Then tried online order, spent 20 useless minutes. Decided to go into Nando's and pick up a takeaway order. Long queue one person on till. Someone needed allergy check which required a manager. Eventually got food. Chicken livers dry as old boot leather. Chicken supposed to be 'mild', burnt our lips off. For the price I paid, the service and food I got, I will never set foot in Nando's again! Nando's has deteriorated over the years..... Go elsewhere!

Clean table with fast enough service of hot food

The staff are amazing. They clearly need a pay rise. It was lovely to see young people who work there put so much much effort in to the customer service. Food was on point. Atmosphere was marked down due to screaming kids and some random judgemental unkind remarks from someone that sat near us.

As I was waiting and waiting and waiting I have to start writing to express my disappointment with my recent dining experience at your restaurant. I visited on 13/05/2023 and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. Firstly, my party and I experienced an extended wait time of 40 minutes before our dishes were served, because I asked about it. While we understand that restaurants can be busy and there may be unforeseen circumstances, such a long wait time for a meal is unacceptable. Furthermore, when our dishes finally arrived, I was disappointed to find that they were warm and dry. It was evident that they had been sitting under the infrared light for an extended period of time, likely around 30 minutes, which caused them to dry out and lose their flavor. As a first time patron of Nando's, I have come to expect high-quality food and prompt service. However, my recent experience fell far short of these expectations. I was disappointed with the overall quality of the food and the extended wait time. I am writing this in the hopes that you will take my feedback into consideration and work to improve the quality of service and food at your restaurant. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. Obviously, this was my first and last time to eat in Nando’s.

Love the food, service is fast and attentive.

I chose nandos as I didn't think I could be disappointed but boy was I wrong. First of all it smells funny in there. Now lets talk about the food.... dreadful. Stale corn on the cob, stale pitta and way too much onion chutney in there. The service was the only decent thing. Definitely do not recommend this branch for the food.

We came here on Monday around 115 it was packed and a half hour wait for a table which we were happy to wait as we were visiting Plymouth we don't get a nandos often We sat outside and decided to see if we could order from the table we were sat and turned out we could We all ordered bottomless drinks as it seems to make sense We made our food order after waiting some time it was getting cold outside and decided to see if there was any tables free inside which there was and the staff kindly moved our food order to our new table not long after that our food arrived It was cooked to perfection hot and tasty my partner had a fino pitta with spicy rice and peri chips I had a grilled chicken wrap with garlic bread and chips the amount of food u get for the price is great it was all excellent could not fault it 😋 the staff were amazing I can imagine they were all under alot of pressure but handled it really well establishment was all clean etc Overall another amazing experience will definitely be coming back again

Visited on a busy day, in a large group. We sat outside, seats very comfy. Even while raining we stayed dry. Staff very friendly. Accommodated for a food allergy.

Have used this Nando’s about 6 times. 2 times they either got my order wrong, or forgot about it and it was very late. Of course it’s delicious when they get it right but this Nando’s is not reliable. The first time was a delivery from here: my chicken wrap was missing sauce, lettuce, and the extra halloumi that I paid for. It was literally just chicken in a wrap… The second time, I was told my wait was 4 minutes to collect. This turned into 25 minutes because they forgot about my order! Didn’t even get an apology or any compensation for my time wasted 😂

First experience of Nando's wouldn't bother again..

The chicken is dry and the sauce tasted like vinegar but the atmosphere and service makes up for it. Much prefer to the nandos located next to vue cinema

Well...had one now so. Its just cooked chicken with a generic spicy sauce thrown on top...now I've been I wouldn't bother...not when there's KFC!

Nice food, good value for money!

The food was really delicious with yummy vegetarian options, however they were out of stock on a lot of options (they didn't have any mushrooms for any of thier mushroom dishes!!). The staff were very kind however and offered us each a free bottomless drink.

The lady who took our order was very accommodating to my wife's allergies. She took the time to check the menu for allergens, and explained the cooking process to ensure we were reassured. The food came very quickly too.

Thank you so much for siannise (manager I think) for helping me when my Apple Pay wouldn’t work and due to not having my card in me it wouldn’t let me pay on the app which made me in a panic she was so lovely and understanding about the situation and helped me get my food with free of charge on the house, really appreciate this.
