The spot is calm and the workers are friendly and helpful with our orders. I totally love the Black Bream Meal. I’ll recommend this spot to people.

This was our second visit to salumi after the first visit made it a must come back and the second time was even better. The food is superb and served by lovely and helpful servers

Friends booked for supper and it was one of the best meals we have eaten out in a long time!!! We shared a board to start followed by a mix of mains and every dish was excellent! Service was attentive but not in your face and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend this pub for foodies like ourselves!

Not great tonight which was disappointing and did not live up to numerous previous visits. Fish and chips really poor- battter flat and fish did not taste fresh. Shame, as hoped for a nice family meal but as it turned out couldn’t wait to pay and get out. The manager did apologise and give 10% discount but this did not really make up for the let down. On other visits the food has been excellent so perhaps just an off night.

Fantastic food with excellent service.

Our first visit to Salumi, having had so many recomendations to go. The best meal we have had in a long time, you could taste ever flavour in the food. Beautifully presented, amazing space and the staff were so lovely. We were blown away and even more so by an unexpected birthday surpise. Cant wait to come back for a roast. Thank you exactly how dinning out should be.

Food was delicious! Table for 7 and the service was great! Nothing was delayed all the food was fantastic and the drinks offerings were also great! Lovely atmosphere and can't wait to come back in the new year!

This place have fresh food by saying this I mean fresh the owner have farm and the beef and chicken some of the ingredients are 100% British made farm yes it is bit expensive but evry peni is worth for this delicios experience they have garden and grill outside and the takes are extremely well cooking and they are so jucy the cervise is outstanding friendly environment good for family and couple or single the desert menu is not frozen ice cream from shop its gorgeous difrent cakes lots of difrent desert include fresh I cream this is thanks to great team work so hard they have Bakery its worth visiting spring and summer the drink is normal but they also have own beer which is amazing they doumany difrent insaly made beautiful and taste coctails this place recive many award and deserve all of these success

Without a doubt the best roast I’ve ever eaten. Everything on the plate was cooked to perfection, a true flavour bomb! The cheesecake and homemade Christmas pudding ice cream was unbelievable. I can’t wait to return, 11/10!

Came here after a great experience last time, whilst the menu was definitely different this time the food was still very good The staff are friendly and welcoming the menu has something for everyone although none of the tapas / small plate dishes of last time which was a shame The Blade of Beef was very tasty and very rich, the steak also very tasty although for me a tad fatty, even for a rump would still recommend / come again

Have been for breakfast/brunch before and had a positive experience. However visited again for brunch and found the breakfast has suffered shrinkflation!!! Price had gone up and ingredients seem to have suffered somewhat, streaky bacon, used to be back, less beans, small slices of toast, tiny eggs and a couple of cherry tomatoes! IMO not worth £14. Asked for extra toast got 1 tiny slice for an additional £1.50. Disappointing experience unfortunately.

What an amazing place! I'm a coeliac diner and to be given such a wide menu was phenomenal. They serve draft non alcoholic lager, have a superb wine list & all their Ice cream is homemade so there's absolutely no risk of wheat/ gluten being snuck in as a thickener which unfortunately so many places are doing. We loved the presentation as well; the picture here is of my gluten free fish, chips, curry sauce, minty peas, all the elements served in separate dishes making it feel like a real banquet. There's no doubt we'll be back.

Had an amazing meal with my family for my retirement. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We all had different meals and we all loved all of it. We are talking about our next visit as we have 4 Birthdays between us in the next few weeks . Well done to the chefs and staff .

Visited here for first time today for a Sunday lunch . The food was great apart from the broccoli was too hard but that's personal preference. The service was awful, we waited 15 mins then then I had to go to the bar to ask about 8 staff that were stood chatting that I wanted to order drinks ... the food was ordered and the staff were very confused when I started asking about colieac, surly that's part of their training! Of course everything is checked with chef but they need an understanding, so that was quite worrying. At the end the girl cleared our table and I said can I have bill? 20 mins I had enough of waiting and went to bar to pay myself. I get if its busy but this was 12oclock and alot of staff not busy so they have the time to be attentive to customers . Wouldn't make me rush back

Great Sunday Roast, great service and great location. We can absolutely recommend it! It's best to reserve in advance, especially on Sunday, we barely managed to get a spot.

Lovely place to eat, excellent meal. The inside is like a tardis! Plenty of seating. You can park next door though you have to pay using an app. We paid £40 a head for main & dessert, with a couple of glasses of wine.

We went in drinks, good selection of different beers and cider.

Staff were very kind and nothing was too much bother. The food was absolutely beautiful. Very fresh ingredients and the cocktails were lovely.

Basically the best restaurant in Plymouth. Food is exceptional, and they always cater for allergies where possible (including dairy-free, vegan, etc). The place is a little expensive but absolutely worth it for a treat. Really good music on a Saturday All staff, including the new general manager are friendly and helpful.

Stumbled upon this beautiful little pub/restaurant at the exit of the port. Delicious dishes. Super nice waitress. Very pretty atmosphere and decor. I'm going back there on my next visit to Plymouth!

Hands down the best gastro-pub i’ve ever been to. I’m a Spaniard, and had the best gazpacho i’ve ever eaten at Salumi. Highly recommend!

Traditional Sunday lunch was superb. Great pork, cabbage with peas, and carrot with swede. The Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes were also well received. Would have preferred to sit in a room with direct light, which affects the Atmosphere score. Overall, though, well worth going for a meal

A very good Sunday roast after craving one abroad. Impressed with the vegetarian and vegan selection. The mushroom and cheese roast was exceptional, I’d highly recommend. The selection of vegetables was good and they weren’t overcooked (hurrah!), good gravy and big Yorkshires. Only critique was that the service was very slow. Would return!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a fantastic restaurant where I enjoyed the classic English Sunday roast. Went for meal boyfriend had steak 30 pounds was tough had to ask for steak knife. I had fish and chips no fish all batter. We where disappointed got refund of 1.65 for fish. We had bottle of wine , meal was 70 pounds. Far to much meal we stick to weatherspoons in future. We had been for drinks before we dont live in Plymouth

We went with our 3 year old for lunch. Burger and chips were great, salmon bagel had lots of salmon and the childs meal was lovely but too much for our 3 year old. The service was good and the atmosphere was welcoming. We would go again when in the area.

It is a lovely ambience and staff are really nice, the food is okay but for my personal taste it wasn't very appealing. The soup was really nice but the bao and small plates were quite different to my expectations.

Steak night was a revelation! (for me at least) Popped in on the off-chance, and had a most flavoursome rump!

Partner booked for a Sunday Roast. Arrived to find our table was “cancelled” yet had no communication from the venue and we had not cancelled, got seated on the low drinks tables at the bar. Finally moved to the outside tables after making it clear we were not able to eat at the table we were seated at. Service was poor, took ages for someone to wipe the table and eventually ask us for our drinks - was told water would be brought out, again another 15 minute wait for this. Waited 45 minutes for our roast to arrive cold, potatoes were burnt and disgusting. Very disappointing experience.

First visit to Salumi tonight. Extremely disappointed with food and definitely not value for money. Had fish and chips the fish was overcooked and dry, the batter was crumbly and dry too the peas a tiny portion and lacked seasoning also dry. - not sure how you can get peas wrong. The chips were ok. I won’t be returning in a hurry .

Enjoyed a brilliant meal here with a group of 7 of us for 2 birthdays. Brilliant service and food, even had a gluten free menu for myself and surprised the 2 birthday attendees with a free dessert. Can’t recommend highly enough, we live nearly an hour away but will definitely be back. Thank you! :)

I’ve been visiting Plymouth for work for a number of years and tripped over Salumi quite a while ago. Whenever I’m in Plymouth I always visit for an evening meal as it is so consistent. The staff are extremely friendly without being overbearing, the atmosphere always make you feel comfortable and the food never lets you down. When you work away from home regularly, it’s a comfort knowing there’s a place where you are guaranteed all of these things. Basically, make yourself a promise to visit Salumi, you won’t be at all disappointed.

This laidback pub that has a quirky interior delivers some of the nicest gastro sytle food in the city. We went for my friends birthday and started with the sharing board and a bottle of wine which was the perfect start to our experience. The staff here were knowledgeable but not pushy and left us to catch up rarther than constantly hovering around. The menu is not extensive but has a number of classic dishes done their way and everything we ate was executed perfectly. I will definitely be returning!

This was THE BEST,MOST TASTEFUL FOOD EVER!!!!! I cannot recommend this place enough!!! The food was on a different level!!! Had mackerel pate and roast beef and I could eat it all day!!!! EVERY mouthful was just incredible!!! Do yourselves a favour and book a table and get ready for the meal of your life!!!!! Yum yum yum!!!! AMAZING!!!!! Can't wait to go back (the roast potatoes are unbelievable)!!!!!

10/10 roast , prok belly was cooked amazing , crackling spot on. All the veg was super tasty , Yorkshire perfect. The staff were an asset to the team. So friendly bright and bubbly. Nothing was enough. Quick to look after us . And checked in on us a few times to see if we were okay . If I was to nitpick I’d say my only helpful feedback would be a little more apple sauce and slightly bigger veg pots, Really great food and service !!

The Roast Pork and Roast Chicken were extremely delicious with all the trimmings. Would definately return again and the service was spot on too. The Ambience is also great. 20 pound for a Roast is good once a while.

We were staying at the Moxy, more or less across the road. While there were various snacks available we were looking for a meal and Salumi was on the list of local places to eat. I called to book and it was very busy but we were offered a table if we could arrive no later than 15 minutes later. We quickly set out and got there on time; we were pleased we had done so. I had mentioned that my Wife had some mobility issues - and we used her wheelchair in the interests of speed. Salumi is on a number of levels but has a good area at entrance level which suited us perfectly. All the Staff were welcoming, polite and friendly. We were quickly brought water and menus. We chose drinks, Old Mout non-alcoholic ciders. The Menu offered a good range of choices including Vegan and Allergy conscious options. A map on the wall showed the locations and names of their local suppliers. We chose the venison and fish mains. My venison was tender and tasty and beautifully cooked. It came with a Venison Pie, chestnut puree, charred radicchio and a wonderful Jus. My wife had the battered lemon sole with peas, chips, curry sauce and sauce tartare (home made). All the items were served separately which was a good touch. We both enjoyed every single morsel. We had dessert and a cheese plate. The dessert was fairground doughnuts with chocolate sauce and caramel ice cream. My cheese, a local blue and soft cheese, was served with a honey drizzled banana loaf and walnuts with a quince sauce. We had a latte and hot chocolate. The Bill came to a total of £88 and was well worth the cost. I added a tip particularly because we had been so well looked after by Sally and her colleagues. They have good wine and drinks choices including non-alcoholic options. Their Brunch, served on Saturdays, looked very interesting and they have a “tasting menu” of 5 Courses for a competitive £42 per head. It was comfortable with a good ambience and was clearly busy on a regular basis. We liked the look of the Sunday Lunch too.We are fortunate to have dined and dine at some excellent restaurants and brasseries and Salumi was well up to standard. We will certainly return when we are next in the area and recommend it highly. ,

Quirky setting. Attentive service and good food.

Booked table for 8 on Saturday night. Table not ready when we turned up on time had to wait at least 30 minutes before ready. Told when booking we had to pre-order which we did. 4 people ordered ribeye steak which was then changed to rump, 2 ordered cod which was then changed to lemon sole! . Ordered wine which by the way is different than on web site( rioja on web site £30 in restaurant £39.50) and after 5 mins was told it would be a while as they had run out of clean wine glasses! Food arrived for 7 of us but had to wait for the last steak as it was well done! Food was ok steak over salted and no way near worth prices being charged. Bill over £400 and as you can gather we will not be returning as it is so overpriced for both quality of service and food.

We had a lovely meal at salumi. Our waiter Matt was amazingly attentive, made sure we had everything we needed, he had a very professional manner. The food was amazing as per normal with all our steaks cooked to perfection. I could not find a single flaw in anything from tonight's service/food. Thank you salumi and staff.

Fantastic food and a really nice atmosphere. Probably the tastiest full English I've ever had. My wife had the Haddock omelette which was really nice too. We ordered a side of Hash browns which were delicious if anything these were perhaps a bit salty. Salumi you never let us down.

The food here is delicious and the staff are very friendly. Everything is freshly cooked and looks fantastic. Portion sizes are good too, I haven't made it to dessert yet!

We came across Salumi by surprise as we were staying locally for the night. What a fabulous surprise and choice. We hadn’t booked but, even so, were warmly welcomed and shown to a table near the bar with comfortable bucket seats and table. The drinks service was prompt and with a smile. The menu choices looked good but it wasn’t until the food arrived that we realised we had hit upon a real gem. I had the black bream which was perfectly cooked with the addition of the best chips - ever! A big portion of them too. My husband had the fish and chips (his ‘go to’ dish) and wasn’t disappointed. We’d had a tough and sad day so I convinced husband to have a pudding with two spoons. Crème brûlée but with so much more…an addition of a scoop of rhubarb sorbet on a bed of sweet biscuit crumbs and a sublime, was it deep fried? …apple and rhubarb ‘something’ - devine. We asked our server to tell the chef how much we enjoyed our evening at Salumi, as well as all the staff who made it such a relaxed and enjoyable experience. If we are ever back in Plymouth, this is where you’ll find us.

Great service and relaxing atmosphere. The delicious main course was just the right amount and the cheeseboard desert we shared. This our second visit and we weren’t disappointed. Highly recommend
