We enjoyed a fabulous Sunday lunch complimented with a fabulous wine and exceptional entertainment; what is there not to like.

This is my 3rd visit to Honky Tonk, and I can honestly say, locally, it's the best place. From the wine, to the food and ambience, it is truly lovely - looking out at the sea and boats of course adds to the charm! The cherry on top? The unhurried manner in which we could take it all in, savour the wine and enjoy our grazing board - absolutely priceless. I will be back with my Hublet at the end of June for his birthday! The owners are engaging and knows what it means to make their patrons feel welcome and goes above and beyond to ensure you have the best time ever. Thanks for a wonderful few hours - our girlie catch up was a triumph!

Had a lovely evening celebrating our wedding at the HonkyTonk Wine Library on 30th March. The service was fantastic and the wine/food/atmosphere was lovely. Thank you for a wonderful evening! We wouldn't hesitate to go back again!

It was my birthday and what a celebration it turned out to be! Honky Tonk wine library is at a fabulous location overlooking Sutton Harbour in Plymouth. And we were blessed with good weather! The hosts Fitz and Zoe, looked after my guests and I magnificently. The wine flowed and the food was plentiful and superb (especially my profiterole birthday tower 🥰). I have had so much feedback from my friends saying what a great party it was and what a splendid venue. They will be back to visit, Honky Tonk as will I. Thanks once again Fitz, Zoe and team. 🥂❤️😀

Amazing roast at Honky Tonk yesterday, service spot on as usual, roast was amazing 😊😊 and the sun came out...

It’s been there for 6 years! I lived around the corner and never knew so pleased I had it recommended it to me perfect food and amazing staff who dealt with a very loud and very rude table with pure grace and professionalism keeping a relaxed and friendly ambience with sofas or table bookings, quick card games and amazing drinks and food selection! Already planning our return within the week to see Jenny and Wilson! Dog friendly and worth every penny we loved it!!!

Loved it! Great service, great ambience, great food and superb wine! We made to feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We had a long leisurely lunch and could have happily stayed all day - thank you so much & we look forward to seeing you again.

We visited HonkyTonk to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday with a group of seven friends. Everything was faultless - friendly helpful service, fabulous food and a fantastic selection of wines to suit every taste. We had a brilliant evening and everyone loved HonkyTonk. Heartily recommended.

HT is our normal go to place when we have visitors and we want to impress and we love it. However our last visit on Saturday was a bit of a let down. The new boards are not as good as the old (seem to be less for more and bulked out with biscuits/hummus) and the service,whilst friendly and welcoming, was not as efficient as normal. Spent over £200 and didn’t feel it was value for money. Hopefully it was just a blip.

We went as a party of four for a birthday celebration. We attended for the 2nd time and the food, wine and service was wonderful. It was a lovely relaxed and cosy atmosphere. We stayed for the comedy evening and I could not reccomend it enough.

Have been here a few times in the past but the first this year. We had the traditional grazing board. We felt it was a disappointment compared to the last time we ate there. The price had increased but we didn't feel the quality had. There was some variation on the menu advertised the filo tartlets were not nice nor was the meat on the side. Its a great venue the wine is lovely and the staff, but I think we will go elsewhere for sharing platters in future.

Great food, great atmosphere and great staff, also very accommodating with our two year old! The Head Chef Vox was a credit, very passionate and it showed in his food! Make sure you try the pork belly, wow!! Definitely not a place to be missed!

I heard about HT from many people who recommended us to visit it. Therefore it was our first time in HT and we absolutely loved this nice place. The atmosphere there and interior design is very unique and memorable. We had a selection of a few starters to share and a meat sharing board. And that was plenty of food for a family of 4 to eat. The stunning food and beverage presentation really impressed us! All members of staff were friendly, smiley and attentive 😉👌🏼 I would definitely book a table for our next occasion😊

Lovely location, amazing wine selection and a sharing menu to match. We only had a quick glass of wine but it was divine. I plan on returning regularly. Not sure how to leave another review so updating this one. Now been here several times and every time a great experience slowly becoming a regular joint. Booked in for the ‘Roast and Jazz’ in Feb, food was amazing, atmosphere was a great vibe and the live Jazz topped it off! The staff are friendly and the owners know their wines, great conversations and recommendations.

Wonderful meat and cheese sharing platter with outstanding presentation. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Great choice for a mother daughter get together. Look forward to visiting again.

Another fabulous visit to The HonkyTonk Wine Library. We wanted fizz and were recommended a bottle of South African sparkling white. It was delicious. Zoe and the team are always very happy to listen to what you like and recommend new wines to try. We shared a three cheese board, some fries and hummus. Very enjoyable indeed. We will be back.

We ordered the seafood sharing platter and Dan safely say it was some of the best seafood we have ever had. The mussels in spinach butter sauce were exceptional, the seabass was delicious and even the Asian flavoured green beans were perfection. The wine flights introduced us to some wines we would probably not have otherwise tried.

Excellent service, clean accommodating premises, friendly environment and superb wine choices! Menu complements fantastically well and overall a good relaxed quality dining and drinking experience. Made to feel welcome by hosts and staff, even invited to judge the sip and paint valentines art event! So pleased you made it through the challenges of the Sutton harbour assassination attempt! The food here is not only delicious but beautifully presented. I'm not particularly a wine lover but the staff are so knowledgeable about the wines I've managed to find one I like every time I've been here. This is a great place to go with friends and share one of their gorgeous platters :-)

What a fantastic bar. Loved the wine flight option, got to try a local wine as well as others I wouldn't normally buy. Wonderful staff and such a gorgeous ambiance inside. Bit gutted we had dinner booked elsewjere as when I saw a fish charcuterie board leave the kitchen I had major food envy!

We went on a quiet Tuesday, and got one of the big sharing platters-- and it was more than enough for the two of us. Included some really nice fresh produce, lovely bread, hummus, and well-crafted little tarts. The wine selection is interesting-- we had a Devon white-- and really well-explained by the staff

We travelled from Taunton to sample this menu. My wife is a red wine drinker and this was to be her first wine after dry January. On reading the menu she really couldn't decide, so told our server what she liked and ordered the flight. She was not disappointed, nor was I when the sharing meat platter came out. Excellent service, fantastic food and drink, lovely atmosphere. Add it to your must do list, you won't regret it.

My daughter recommended the Honky Tonk Wine Library to me after her and a friend visited. I was not disappointed. The food was great and there was plenty of it.My husband and I had a wine flight each, I can definitely recommend this. The lady serving was very knowledgeable and friendly. I will be returning soon.

Exceptional as always. We treated ourselves to the bottomless cocktail brunch on NYE and it did not disappoint. The salmon pesto & sourdough is probably one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten and the rosti was incredible. The cocktails rounded off the experience perfectly. I could not recommend Honky Tonk more!

This is an excellent dining experience and one I haven’t had before Tucked away in Sutton Harbour this little gem can be found The welcome was warm and polite and the Menu was explained and we ordered plus the wine which was suggested and an excellent choice The food comes on a Board we had the Fish Choice which was excellent and included a Salmon En Croute and a bowl of Mussels plus other fish and lovely green beans and Red Cabbage with potatoes We did order a bowl of chips they were delicious but we didn’t need them Dessert was a divine Apple Crumble and a Christmas Pudding lovely Staff were attentive and asked several times if we were happy

Great food and drink! Evening was a bit spoiled by the lack of service, didn’t see anyone for over 30 mins to ask for drinks and when I finally found a waitress to order deserts she said she would need the table in 15 mins, even though we had been waiting ages to order.

A little gem of a place. Lovely, genuine and delightful host with exceptional food and drinks. Relaxing environment. My partner and I had the good fortune to dyble on this wonderful bar. Zoe and fitz were the perfect hosts to this beautiful bar. I am hestitant in waxing lyrical about the bar too much as I fear that when word gets out this may very well become the bar of choice for many looking to enjoy a relaxing time with friends with great food, wonderful wines and lovely hosts. Thank you so much for a great lunch.

My friend and I visited and were bitterly disappointed with the value for money offered by HonkyTonk. My friend had visited previously and the food had been plentiful but on this occasion, we were both shocked. For the sum of £70, we were presented a beef wellington, overcooked vegetables and potatoes so small they had to be eaten with our hands. There was a very pleasant ambience and service (the only positive) and we did not wish to cause a fuss so did not mention anything on the evening of our visit, however a message was sent to which there has been no response. I am including a photo below for people to make a judgement as to whether the board presented to us warrants the cost of £70.

Great place nice wine wonderful Sunday ambiance with a 5 star relaxed jazz band playing in the mid afternoon but we have 2 visits first one fab food 2nd one so so food sent back once to be cooked properly so fingers crossed for a 3rd visit ....

We visited as a group of 10 for Christmas sharing boards. I was very disappointed with the quality and amount of food for the price. It was such a shame as I have visited honky tonk before and it has been incredible. Our waitress though was lovely

My second visit to the Honky Tonk this time around it was for the dinner sharing board. The place was very quiet but it was a Tuesday evening, we didn't mind as the venue is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy good food and wine. The sharing board was lovely, beef wellington, ribs and ham all superstars on the plate. I'd highly recommend going for something a little different. It's also worth mentioning the breakfast sharing board. This was my first experience and I was blown away at how good breakfast could be.

We had a very lovely anniversary lunch at this great place with great views out over Sutton Harbour. Very friendly and professional staff and beautifully cooked and presented food. Highly recommended.

Been coming to Honkytonk for many years now, and I've always left the place immensely satisfied and full! The wine list is amazing, and the food is not only tasty but it is also a piece of art when they come out on those long platter boards they use. I had a roast this time, never been there on a Sunday and it was stunning, three people in total with wine, a perfect roast lamb dinner, and a pudding for afterward. Plus it was not too expensive, will be going there for many years to come.

We always feel so welcome at Honkytonk, all the staff are just lovely which makes for a great atmosphere and the food and drink is top quality. If you haven’t been you should give it a try. If you have been, why not go again!

The HonkyTonk Wine Library exceeded our expectations, well, we knew it was going to be great but they managed to take it to another level. It was the perfect venue for fine wine and dining before we headed to the theatre. The staff were amazingly enthusiastic and knowledgeable and helped us choose the best selection of wines to complement the awesome food. As soon as I saw the chicken and chips on the menu, I knew I had to try it and it was definitely worth the wait - Thank you, we will be back!

If going for a roast… DO NOT BOTHER. Very disappointing meal.’we went as a large group and was served a roast on a board. It worked out as one slice of beef, three small hard potatoes, a couple pieces of carrot and broccoli! The Yorkshire pudding was tiny and terrible. For £20 you would expect better and it took over an hour to serve. So many other nice businesses on the Barbican and Sutton harbour… please go to them and do not waste your money here

This was a great place to eat, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was tremendous. They ensure that you enjoy your time. The options of wines available are beautiful how you decide what to have is to drink them all! Loved it.

Again a visit to a favourite of ours. It was my birthday and we decided to contact Honky Tonks and ask for a sea platter that used to be on their menu. We went on a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was relatively quiet. Jenny our waitress was attentive but not overbearing and Dom, the chef, was as usual outstanding. The meal was presented beautifully with a whole plaice (it was big,) a large portion of mussels in a divine creamy sauce, 4 chilli fish cakes with pure fish fillings, not an ounce of potato to be seen as is usual with many restaurants and for us the stand out dish was the salmon wellington - just delicious! Accompanied by 3 dips, some green salad, bread butter and a portion of fries and a great bottle of Chianti. The meal, staff and evening was, for us, simply outstanding. As a present from my wife I purchased a Plantation rum which is sublimely exquisite, well worth the money and wont last long! Cant wait for our next visit to this outstanding restaurant. Fantastic Sunday lunch. Lovely relaxed atmosphere with live jazz from some great musicians. Our food was very tasty and lovely selection of wines to accompany it. Run by two great people who make you feel so welcome along with their friendly and helpful staff. Already booked for the Christmas Jazz lunch in December.

Had a great time at the comedy night. Compère was good as usual and the 2 acts were the best I’ve seen at Honky Tonks. If you’re looking to have a good night out with entertainment in a warm and friendly atmosphere then this is a must. Ian

Very nice place and good atmosphere but overpriced. How they can charge such a difference for the same bottle of wine either at the table or take home is astounding! Never known corkage to be so expensive!

Visited HonkyTonk for the first time on Sunday and we had the best experience we could’ve asked for! We’ve heard good things and have wanted to visit for a long time so we’re so happy the restaurant lived up to our expectations! The food was amazing and we all couldn’t stop talking about it all evening! Service was 10/10, really helpful and attentive. The wine selection was incredible also. We will definitely be back! Already talking about booking a again for another couple of weekends time 😍 Picture shows a veggie sharing platter for 2 and a normal platter for 4. There were 6 of us altogether and we couldn’t finish everything so there is more than enough to go around!
