Such a shame as the food was not bad but we waited over 35 minutes for our food. When my husband went to find out if we had been forgotten he was told it was because of the salad!!!!! Told that takes more time to prepare..... Errrrr?? Had to eat quickly as would then be late for the cinema. Guy in front of my husband was told 10 minutes for food so he didn't ask... Don't sit in and eat often, don't think we will again. Wagammas for us next time.

Quick bite to eat before going to the cinema and lucky we got there when we did as queues out the door when we left! Only a small restaurant, but looked like may have had extra seating upstairs. Usual good food of a Nando's, but is quite pricey. Still, happy with the standard of food. Good service, staff were attentive and you're able to order on the app now too so no need to stand in the long queues that were waiting to order.

This was always a go to Nando’s for me, but at my last visit I was disappointed that a lot of the staff just seemed to be wandering around or talking rather than handing out the food which had been left on the hot plate for quite some time. When the staff spoke to me they were all very polite but the wait for the food was very long especially as I could see it on the hot plate for 10 or so minutes! There were two members of staff who deserve a massive shout out, a girl called Molly in the kitchen preparing and plating up was working so hard! A boy wearing a red Nando’s top, I think with the name Matt or something was also great, he came from the front to the hot plate and told his colleagues to start handing things out and then smashed out multiple home orders and restaurant orders. If it wasn’t for him, my food would probably still be there hahaha

Nando's are terrible value for money now. Outrageously small portion sizes vs the cost - "1/2 a chicken" is literally a leg and a shoulder of a very small chicken - no breast at all. "2 butterflied breasts" is a single small chicken breast cut in half. The broccoli side (which costs ~£4) is literally 2 pieces of broccoli. They are the worst example of shrinkflation I've seen in mainstream UK food chains. Stay away until they do better.

I spend £1000's in Nando's every year, I go to a lot of them. I recently went to the Nando's at Chatham Docks, and it was one of the worst Nando's I've had. The food was cold. Corn on the cob had gone wrinkly, the chicken was hard and chewy. The chips had been cooked a good 20 minutes before we got them, and reheated under the heat lamp. Had to send back the food. Restaurant had air conditioning on, even though it was cold and raining outside. Staff didn't bring us our glasses, (literally a first for us). Honestly, go to the one at Hempstead Valley, they're one of the best in the region and I stand by that. Also noticed how small the butterfly chicken has gotten at all locations.

Feels like Nando’s has gone downhill somewhat. Nobody at the reception to welcome, nearly all of the tables uncleared or not reset, cutlery nowhere to be seen. Asked our waitress three times for forks (there were none in the usual place), gave up and went to the front desk, was pointed in the right direction and walked past the same waitress I had asked who was doing something else and completely ignored me. Portions were on the smaller side, not sure where they’re getting their chickens from, but thighs are not supposed to be as small as wings! Food was sitting ready for a good ten minutes before it eventually came our way. Salt missing from most tables. I know it’s only casual dining but make an effort Nando’s! It never used to be like this and could be so much better. Clearly understaffed. A bit of a let down.

So I entered Nando's at Chatham and went to sit because it was my first time there and one of the workers came and literally SCREAMED 'IS THIS YOUR FIRST TIME HERE? YOU'RE MEANT TO WAIT OUTSIDE AND LET ONE OF THE GUYS BRING YOU TO A SEAT' I was too shocked and embarrassed to even speak. Then my dessert was 30mins late.

Messed up orders, food not turning up, floor covered in mess and a bunch of the team running round like they have no idea what they are doing. First two dishes came out, second two half an hour later and mine never ever turned up. Turns out that they refunded my order without telling me. The entitled manager (Maybe not but she was the eldest working and doing the least amount of work) said upon being told of my issue that they could "Rush" my order through in 10-15 minutes. The rest of the family had already finished so I declined the offer. The upstairs eating area was not open, considering it is Father's day I would not expect them to reduce covers for the day. Nando's unfortunately is now on my banned list with Maccas for the worst customer service in the land.

We where welcomed by a lovely lady who and shown to our seat however when we went up to order we where seen by Hannah who came across quite rude. She spoke to my partner almost as if she was dumb. For context she’s autistic with bad social anxiety and it was the first time she’d properly ordered everything herself. Hannah seemed like she was either new or didn’t know the menu or system well enough and persisted on speaking to us as if we were idiots. When our food came quite a bit was wrong however we’d waited long enough that we just ate what was there as we’d already been waiting for 45 minutes after we’d ordered.

Originally from South Africa, few people can tell me anything I don’t know about Nando’s, the iconic South African brand. Nando’s Chatham, I can honestly say, is up there with the best I’ve visited, in over 25 years of Nando’s visits. I was given the nicest welcome by Emma and the experience, from service to the food, was such a positive and enjoyable one. Staying on the Island over yonder, this shall certainly not be my last visit! Thanks Nando’s Chatham, a true credit to the brand!

Recently had a visit to this branch. Good points. 1. Receiption was good, although didnt book in advance, we were quickly accommodated a group of five. 2. The staff taking the order was very polite and professional. Constructive points. 1. Out of 5 people order, 1 order particularly mine was served a bit late, 20 mins roughly. But once we mentioned it, they brought the food. The staff apolosised and offered a cake. Summary. A very nice branch and the food served was nicely cooked. Will visit again.

Not on my usual stomping ground but always to find a new Nanados . Lovely location. Staff were friendly. All the best of what one comes to expect from a good nandos. The food though..... My boneless thighs were crispy skinside. Both my sides were hot . These things make my heart sing and there was a full on opera going on in me yesterday. Yum yum yum . There was someone at the next table who was obvs enjoying crispy wings ....I was yumming on his behalf too..... Hubby had one of those vege things with the Portobello mushroom init....he has yumming too. All round a 5/5 Yum⭐.

To be honest, you can't go far wrong with Nandos. Providing you can actually get a table because they are always so busy. Food comes up quickly and I've always found it good and with enough to satisfy my appetite. They are of course famous for their peri-peri sauce but if you can't stand the heat try the lemon and herb or the BBQ. Don't like chicken? There are other options including those for vegetarians and vegans. If you are one of the few people who are still on a health kick on January the 2nd you can choose to not have fried and have something else. I like the bottomless soft drinks options and as I normally manage to down about three glasses it's great value too! Dessert, well they have bottomless frozen vanilla yoghurt, please give us some sauces though Nandos even if there was a surcharge. Those Portuguese custard tarts are literally to die for by the way.

Such a rude and ill mannered staff! My husband and I just went there with our 2 years old and the guy at the take away window was so lost . My husband kept on saying excuse me to ask about the food and he completely ignored him and closed the window at his face. Then he kept on knocking at the window and the guy and another girl they both kept on talking to each other, and then the girl Came out and went in another direction, and the boy didn’t care if there was a customer waiting for him on outside the window and he kept on doing his own task and then went to another direction inside, is that how the customers are treated?? it was so rude I would never go back again!!

The food here was at a good standard for Nando's, my only nitpick was the chicken breast being a bit dry, otherwise it was flawless. The staff here are really friendly and welcoming, but the quality of Nandos chicken has gone really down hill. On top of this you now have to pay for parking over an hour. Not sure who’s wise idea it was to use sparrows instead of chicken but the portion size is incredibly small. It used to be so much better but it seems every time I go to a Nandos the chickens get smaller and smaller. I ordered half a chicken and it hardly took up any room when measured against the palm of my hand. Considering the price I don’t think I’ll bother coming back. Total let down, but service was good.

We were waiting about a 30min someone to come to tell us that we need to order on a till! in the end no one does… i saw people were ordering there then i went … we wait 30min more for food after this…. i was calling the manager with my hand at least 10 times … but unfortunately they were to busy to talk each other … We were on holiday and we were very excited to go there ,it was my wife birthday ,but absolutely disappointment … Never we will go back ! at the end the manager come but she didnt do anything for us to make us happy ! My friend and I arrived just after a group of 50 had been seated for dinner. The staff very politely warned us that there may be a wait for food, but we were still served promptly and with a smile. No health and hygiene standards! A member of staff cooking chicken and corn on the cob on the same griddle using same tongs! Manager said it been going on for years!! He doesn’t have a separate griddle!! After saying he should be using green tongs at least he decided to give the member of staff a set, who wasn’t happy as it made it more difficult to cook. Food contamination at its best ! Got told by head office they are not a vegetarian restaurant and website states ingredients / food can get mixed. Offered me £20 which I turned for. What’s the point of having allergy and hygiene training laws in place !!?

Table available. Sat down immediately. Explained the new menu and new items by a lady with a red tint to her hair. Really polite. Went up to the counter to order. The guy behind the counter had brown curly hair. He was really positive. I asked his opinion on the new flavour and got his feedback. Again really polite, read the order back to us. Starters and main were lovely. We were checked on like normal and we asked for another drink. It got sorted straight away. Lovely service and wouldn’t hesitate to come again. Been to few Nando’s across the country as we love chicken. This is easily my best experience. Thank you ladies and gents x

The food was okay, so to be more specific the chicken was quite dry and the only place that the sauce was found was on the top where the skin of the chicken was. Some people like that but I personally don’t so I took of the skin and the chicken basically had even less taste then before apart from chicken taste there was no other basically. The peri-salted fries is amazing and extremely tasty, really enjoyed eating that. The service they provided us was lovely, they sat us at a nice table which was surprising to us because we came as a two but they sat us at the table which can have 4-6 people but anyways we loved the place we got to sit at. The desserts were very tasty, salted caramel brownie and a caramel cheesecake were very lovely. The prices in my opinion are not expensive and average for a place like this.

If you’re planning on dining in, don’t sit upstairs as the area is completely ignored by staff. Sat down squeezed between 2 families on a dirty table and ordered a chicken burger and wrap with extra halloumi. Our mains arrived after 30 minutes and both were cold, my partner’s wrap was missing the extra halloumi. After finding a staff member downstairs and asking for the halloumi to come separately, they took it back to the kitchen and by the time I’d finished my main he’d been waiting for his for 45 minutes. Not much of an apology from the manger who eventually brought it over.

Had to wait 40 minutes for a table and then got seated and ordered through the app. To then be told that the app wasn’t working and the company had taken my money but the order hadn’t gone through. Got told by staff that I should order at the till. This should have been explained before we were seated so we were aware to order at the till. There was no proof of the order other than on my banking app, so if I wasn’t to receive a refund then there was no proof. Staff did not want to help whatsoever and were unfriendly. Will never be visiting this branch of nandos again. Bad customer service and no care shown by staff

Went to Nandos chatham yesterday for dinner with my family . Had one of the worst experiences.The waiter called Asia has an attitude and needs training on how to offer good customer service. If you're having a bad, never put it on your customers . I was first served by her at the till , not only did she have an attitude, but forgot to give us the glasses and extra apple juice i paid for . My husband had to go and remind her. No appologie, nothing ! She also then forgot to add the NHS 20% discount even when I had showed my ID. When I realised this was not added ,I went back to the till ,The manager offered to give us desserts instead. After our meal, I went to request for the same desserts, and a few minutes later,Asia, just came and brought the cups for the yougurts and put them on the table with no communication and walked away . I have been to Nandos, and this is the first time experiencing this .my family and i felt uncomfortable.we shouldn't be the ones treated with rudeness just because you got it wrong and having a bad day . Just wanted to thank another colleague who really lovely I didn't get her name .

Clean, friendly, food as good as always. -update 21/12/2022 Oh my goodness I didn't realise how important sitting in the right area is... This trip we were seated right by the kitchen and the noise from the kitchen was crazy. The staff were having a lovely time shouting to one another and the customer area the sound reverberates everywhere... Not a pleasant experience at all. The food was good as normal though.

Food Nd Coffee was very good and a good price. But when a member of staff cleared a used table they just removed the tray and did not wipe the table which wS dirty and had baked beans and scrambled egg left on the table even though we where waiting to sit down at said table this member of staff didn't come back to clean the mess. My husband asked at the counter to get it cleaned our food was placed on the dirty table and we again for it to be cleaned. Eventually the same person that took the tray went to get cloth and what happened next just astonished me the baked beens where removed from the table and deliberately scattered on the floor where someone could easily have slipped on it and had a serious accident. We said to this person can you remove them and the person just walked away disgusting. They definitely need more training in cleanliness, health and safety for customers and staff alike. Before the mess was picked up Eventually by which time we had finished our food and drink. You might ask why we did not pick the mess up ourselves the answer is we was very interested to know how long it would take the staff to make the place clean and safe. We asked other staff to clean it up and they didn't either but we placed our trolley over it to stop someone sliding on it. We are absolutely disgusted when we spoke to another member of staff to say we are going now and taking our trolley which was making the area safe for others and that they are lucky that someone didn't have a nasty accident which they possibly could make a claim against Tesco due to there lack of care. And before anyone asks no they where not that busy.

I popped back after my last visit in March. My wife at hairdresser had the car wash half an hour to wait, so coffee and cake time. Quite a few in and one outside latte and cake from the counter. A good choice. The food coming out looked good. We will have to come here for a meal sometime. Great service very polite.
