Absolutely loved my experience at the restaurant! The food was full of flavour and beautifully presented. But what really made the day special was the staff. Francesco was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. A perfect mix of great cuisine and exceptional service. Highly recommended!

Went with a friend on the day of the Grand National a few weeks ago. Really busy evening but a good atmosphere. Some minor issues like lack of drinking glasses were diminished as a result of the fabulous service from Susan. An asset to the team and we really appreciated her service. Thanks!

We arrived at 12:40 for our reserved table at 12:45. After being welcomed by the very friendly staff, we were shown to our table by the manager, Shuvo. My Civil Partner and I were celebrating Mother's Day! A good time was had by all, and the food was very hot, well presented, and of course, delicious! Our serving staff were Shuvo, Serkan, and Faisal who were very attentive. NEGATIVES Wheelchair access to the TOILETS was very very difficult as the cubicles are so small. They've only just refurbished this restaurant, so I find that omission unacceptable. Also, I'd like to point out that in the event of a fire the 90º entrance/exit to the restaurant breaks quite a few fire regulations, which again comes as quite a surprise. They certainly would cause a problem for massive evacuation and definitely people who are wheelchair users would suffer the most.

Went as part of the premierinn meal deal (Evening meal and Breakfast). Went to reception at the inn, and got seated straight away by a very attentive waitress. Ordered Prawn cocktail and Fish and chips. The bread on the prawn cock tail was stale and hard, and the prawns were hard and did not taste great. The fish and chips were swimming in fat and not very appetising. The breakfast the next day was better with a good selection of cereals fruits and yoghurts. I ordered a couple of poached eggs on toast to be told, I had to go an do my own toast. The eggs arrived in a desert bowl, with lots of water. Service was very good but food very average at best.

After an afternoon on Southend Pier and Railway, we wanted somewhere with great food and a great atmosphere for dinner before continuing our break away. Salsa Tapas and Grill was the perfect spot! All staff members who interacted with us were super friendly, especially with our children. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, spacious and stylish. The tapas menu was extensive, which we opted for, and there was also a kids menu if you wanted it. Tapas portions were all generous and delicious. We especially loved the cheesy nachos, garlic king prawns and meatballs - in fact we enjoyed everything we had. We spent £85 for four of us including drinks, and felt this was brilliant value for money. If we return to Southend in the future I’d definitely want to come back here again!

We have been visiting Langar Hall for special occasions for 28 years (our Wedding there)., it will be a long time however before we consider going again. On arrival we were ushered to an iron table in the garden ("we have a big party in tonight") chilly we eventually made our way inside half hour later to be shown to a room off the main restaurant which was lacking in atmosphere and lacking in attention from then serving staff. The meal was in part good, in part not so, the cheese soufflé starter was molten on the outside cold in the middle. The lamb was lacking is seasoning and on the tough side. We were still eating our deserts (which we had to chase for) when our taxi arrived 3 hours from booking time. At £135/pp we expect better.
