The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Other european-cuisines food

Sadly this is the 3rd time I've tried to book a table using their telephone answering machine. When we have popped in there before we have been told it's best to book as there is never any seating available. But yet again they say they heard some of the messages and some of the phone number and even said they heard the time..... which they got wrong even though they knew who we were before we had even spoken to them when we arrived at the time we asked for. They had obviously got a party booked in as they could only serve coffee and cake! Why???? Surely if you know you have a party get more staff in so you can carry on as normal for the rest of the people. As no table had been saved for the time we had booked we ended up going just a bit further to sellingde which is only a very small coffee shop, but they were able to accommodate us without booking and we had a fantastic meal for half the price it is at Barbara-Anns!!! It's amazing how some people can help with a smile while others (the poor overworked staff at Barbara-Anns) are stressed harassed and and frankly frustrated with the way the place is run. Not their fault at all this is down to bad management!!!!

A perfect place for lunch when having the Day Spa - food is always excellent as is the service and the staff - always on hand

Tara and Harry never fail to be exceptional hosts and the Paint and Prosecco event last night was no exception . Fun and laughter in a beautiful, chilled atmosphere.

Host has rebranded to Joel’s. I don’t know why Tripadvisor hasn’t been updated yet. Our family of four had lunch at Joel’s - solid ‘Asian street food’ cooked authentically. Really great addition to the area. Great kids menu. Exceeded our expectations

Stopped off for a drink Fri pm, and decided to stay for dinner....what a mistake that turned out to be! We were staying locally on holiday and knew that the palce had recently changed hands and reopened, the Pub and drinks were Ok. The meals were not!! we ordered the childs Scampi (Which we had to ask the price of, not displayed on menu) I had the adult portion and my wife had the chinese curry. The childs portion was almost identical to the adult portion, which was nothing more supermarket basic frozen scampi! i had asked if the scampi was wholertail scampi....didnt have a clue what that meant! Scampi arrived on top of the fries in a metal dish on the main plate with peas and Tartre sauce, why in a metal dish?? anyhow it was pathetic! my wife dish (sauce was loaded with peanuts!!!!, no mention of this on the menu and no one asked about allergies!!! Could have had a serious mishap!! whilst the villagers welcome the pub reopening the new owners need to get to grips with the restaurant, please be aware, in our opinion the food was below an acceptable level!! At no point were we asked if we had any issues with our food, at no point were we asked if we required more drinks, at no point were we asked if we required desserts or coffee, total amateurs!!

Excelente! En realidad no me importa el pescado y las patatas fritas, pero cuando estuve en Londres pensé que volvería a intentarlo y el pescado y las patatas fritas eran excelentes. Me sorprendió lo sabroso y crujiente que estaba todo. Añadí los guisantes mushy encima para hacerlo aún más excepcional. Absolutamente me encantó

Another excellent stay at this delightful hotel, and as ever great dining experiences in the restaurant. Beautifully presented food packed with flavour matched by lovely wines. The staff are unfailingly charming and professional. This is why we keep returning.

Este restaurante sigue mejorando. Cambian su menú de tapas a menudo y sus tapas son exquisitas. El servicio era un joven caballero que era muy conocedor del menú y el ambiente es perfecto. Un ambiente íntimo y amigable. La comida es fantástica - compartimos 5 / 6 platos y cada uno era delicioso. Volveremos de nuevo, seguro. ¡Un gran restaurante independiente!

Cracking meal. I had pretty low expectations but couldn’t have been more wrong. The salmon and squid ink pasta was fantastic. The chicken was lovely. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. They’re obviously trying which is great to see.

Visited for Sunday lunch, family of 8 all of whom ordered something different so not particularly easy for chef given everything is cooked to order. Everyone enjoyed the experience, food excellent and passed around to try each others dishes. Because it's fresh cooked be prepared to wait a while but,having been a few times it's invariably worth it. Good quality, fair value and good service.

Just great food every night, especially if you like fish. Friendly staff make it a great place for supper. Ambience is unique with the overhanging vine which covers the whole room. Amusing to watch the thrushes pop in for breakfast when the grapes are ripe.

I booked the room at Alderley Edge to host my 30th and my partners 40th. The staff there were incredible and helped make the day/night run so smoothly. I had so much help from Lucy to organise the night. It was the perfect party! Lots of parking space for guests. Food could accommodate all. Friendly staff working the bar. 5 star and would definitely recommend!

I go here pretty often. My tip is Africana Prawns for starters with bread to soak up the lovely sauce. Piri Piri chicken with fries and salad then a chocolate mouse for pudding if you can fit it all in. IMO the best restaurant in town and lovely staff. Best to book in advance Fridays and Saturdays as it can get busy

Realmente decepcionado - no puedo comentar sobre la comida o el servicio, ya que nuestra mesa fue cancelada a última hora por el hotel. Había reservado para un té de cumpleaños por la tarde para mi madre y mi familia y tenía gente viajando desde Aberdeen específicamente para ello. Como sabíamos que la fecha era a principios de año y cerca del festivo nos fijamos en reservarlo mucho antes (el 19 de diciembre) y todo salió bien en ese momento. Incluso ayer recibimos un mensaje de recordatorio para asegurarnos de que no nos olvidábamos, solo para que el personal del hotel llamara hoy (día de la reserva) y alegara que no podían cumplir con la reserva ya que “se acababa de hacer en las últimas 24 horas”. Obviamente, no es así. Algunos créditos a ellos, fueron disculpados, pero sentir que esta cancelación de última hora fue poco profesional y una gran decepción a nuestros huéspedes. Nos ofrecieron cambiar nuestra reserva a un almuerzo, pero lamentablemente esto no funcionaría con algunos de los viajes de los huéspedes y otros planes prereservados para el día, y no estaba en el espíritu de la reserva original, ya que habíamos estado esperando el té de la tarde específicamente. Aunque todavía espero probar el lugar en el futuro, ya que me gustaría ver que lo haga bien, seré cauteloso con sus reservas antes de eventos en el futuro.

Cycled the Hayling Billy track and ended up here. Field Intelligence revealed ( I asked a couple of nice pensioners :) ) the excellent Mike's cafe. There is umbrella shaded bench seating in the front and a small enclosed rear patio. There are numerous secure cycle stands on the pavement. Coffee was good - nice touch with a little biscuit. Mrs P, who knows about such matters, informed me that the cheese scone was the best she had ever had. This cost me; as she then insisted on a Madri Spanish style beer - 'to wash it down'.
