Really lovely lunch at San Fairie Ann. We were a table of five and we had four different dishes, all were great. On ordering we were advised of cooking times as some of our dishes were cooked to order which was helpful to understand. We also had side dishes which were not listed on the menu but were no problem for them to provide and were very yummy. Friendly and attentive staff and nice atmosphere. Would definitely return if visiting Southend.

Three of us came for brunch. We all had avocado on sourdough topped with poached eggs. Thanks Harry for looking after us. We had a bottle of Prosecco and a good catch up. The food was delicious, fresh, hot, tasty. I had a vodka martini, fabulous ! Highly recommend, please come and try this restaurant.

Yesterday we had our wedding party at San Fairie Ann. Harry and Tash and the team went above and beyond to make the day special for us, our families and friends. The high tea and canapés were amazing, the pianist great, and all our guests had a lovely time. Nothing was too much trouble for any staff member we approached and they all worked very hard. Huge thank you for a day to remember

San Fairie Ann is a wonderful quirky and eclectic restaurant serving top quality food. The owners Harry and Natasha have the most amazing knack for making guests feel like family. Every step of our wedding reception was a joy to plan with them and on the day the reception was truly magical and memorable. Our guests were soo complimentary of the ambiance, the food, the service and the care taken by Harry Natasha and their wonderful team. Truly the best day ever and in no small part this is down to Harry and Natasha. We will be customers for life.

We had the basement for a family engagement party. The decor is lovely and intimate atmosphere. The food was superb and reasonably priced. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful and did all they could to help us have a wonderful evening. Really friendly relaxing venue. Highly recommended .

Celebrating a birthday, my friends and I chose SFA on Saturday night and what a great choice! The food is absolutely delicious and presented beautifully. The ambiance of the restaurant is stunning, the decor, lighting, candles all create a warm, relaxed vibe. The owners Harry & Natasha, along with all the staff, ensure a genuine welcome to the restaurant is felt. The free drinks given to us because of Harry’s birthday was a wonderful, welcome touch too! This amazing restaurant is hard to beat in Southend!

I recently hosted a surprise 40th birthday party for my partner at San Fairie Ann in Southend on Sea, and it was an outstanding experience. The event included family and friends, with welcome drinks and an impressive Italian-style buffet featuring charcuterie, burger sliders, fries, arancini (including vegetarian and vegan options). The booking process was seamless. I communicated via email and had a video call with the owner, Harry. He was incredibly helpful, balancing our needs while offering useful suggestions and assurances regarding the food, music, and projector equipment. On the day of the event, the staff were exceptional. Despite the warm weather, they ensured we stayed cool with a fan, managed the bar efficiently, kept the buffet table tidy, handled the cake cutting in the kitchen, and promptly cleared away. The venue's amenities were as advertised and perfect for our party. The space was clean, well-decorated, and we added our own balloons and lit number display. There was parking directly opposite the venue, although the sunny day caused some traffic congestion, which wasn't the venue's fault. Our overall experience was fantastic. I would have preferred the ground floor venue for its brightness and cooler temperature, but it wasn't available that day/weekend. A minor incident occurred when a guest dropped a phone charger cable into the only fan, but Harry handled it without any fuss. I found the venue to offer good value for money, considering the hire cost, food, and drinks. I highly recommend San Fairie Ann for its unique style, character, and quality, distinguishing it from similar venues nearby. I would definitely recommend this venue for its excellent service, distinctive ambiance, and the wonderful experience it provided us.

Booked for Sunday roast 03/03/24 with friends , we were not disappointed ! The food was outstanding , veg selection was lovely and plenty of it , meat was so tender and just the best gravy . We all agreed it was the best roast dinner we have had in a restaurant/pub EVER!!! Harry, Natasha and their team were so welcoming , it had a great Sunday afternoon jazzy blues feel . I recently celebrated my 50th birthday in the private room at San Fairie Ann. It was absolutely INCREDIBLE ! From first communication with Harry and Tasha, I felt in great hands ! The space is stunning, the flexibility in regard to set up and clear down of decor, amazing owners in H&T, wonderful staff. I couldn’t have hosted my celebration at a better venue with such beautiful space and brilliant staff ! Had to go and try this very cosy bistro. Was recommended by a friend . Must be said the food was excellent well presented and cooked perfectly . The ambience so inviting and relaxing . A friend and I booked for bottomless brunch. Was seated immediately upon arrival. Good selection of food to choose from. The tapas was sensational and the burger was beautiful. Drinks were continually flowing and we never had to ask for a top up. We decided to add on a cheese board as a good end to the brunch and that was also beautiful. We hired the private dining room for a family birthday party. Excellent service, food and care. Any minor issues were dealt with swiftly and professionally. A gorgeous room, attentive staff and our bespoke requirements catered for. Very warm and kind staff who truly looked after us. If you are after a private but atmosphere filled dinner then I would highly recommend.

We haven’t been to San Fairie Ann for many years, and only really returned on recommendation, but it hasn’t lost its character, nor charm - we left really impressed. We came on a busy Saturday night with a group for a meal, the food was really good and enjoyed by all - a good balance of flavour in my main dish. The singer they had playing for most of the evening was a nice added touch which a large crowd at the bar were certainly enjoying, although it was a bit too loud for us at times.

SERVICE WAS APPALLING BOOKED FOR 7.30PM, VERY PRETTY VENUE BUT WOULD HAVE LIKED TO HAVE EATEN BEFORE 9 0'CLOCK. FOOD TEPID TO COLD. VERY NOISY COULD NOT HEAR ABOVE OTHER DINERS AND THE MUSIC. CONVERSATION IMPOSSIBLE. NO RECEIPTS FOR BILLS WHEN PAYING THE WAITER JUST POINTED TO PUT YOUR EMAIL ON TO THE MACHINE. HAD PUT A DEPOSIT ON THE MEAL BUT WAS TOLD IT WAS INCLUDED IN THE BILL, IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ACKNOWLEGED ON THE BILL. HAD TO ASK THEM TO TAKE THE SERVICE CHARGE OFF. FOOD WAS SO LONG COMING THAT FRIENDS HAD TO RUSH TO GET THEIR LAST TRAIN WITH ONLY 5 MINS TO SPARE. THE FOOD MADE HUSBAND ILL THE NEXT DAY. TO SUM UP AS VERY DISAPPOINTING EVENING OUT. i WILL NOT BE GOING THERE AGAIN.

Absolutely wonderful. We were let down by a new restaurant that we had booked for 40th birthday outing. Last minute we contacted San Fairie Ann to see if they could accommodate us. They were fantastic, from the freshly made afternoon tea to the attentive and friendly service. The food was delicious and the staff and atmosphere exactly want you want for a special occasion. The roasts they were serving also looked fantastic so we will definitely return!

Once you've visited San Fairie Ann, particularly if you're local, you'll likely find yourself going back again and again! Stunning decor, classy but with a very relaxed atmosphere, which isn't always an easy combination to pull off. The food is always fantastic, fresh, and cooked and presented perfectly. Harry, Natasha and the entire team are so welcoming, helpful and great at what they do! Most recently came to celebrate my birthday and not a single member of my party had anything but positive things to say, we are already planning our next visit :) The best restaurant in Southend Central in my humble opinion!

We celebrated my daughter’s engagement at this beautiful restaurant on Saturday night, hiring the room downstairs for the party. The whole night was fabulous. The communication and interaction had with Harry and Natasha before the party was friendly and thorough, ensuring that all our needs (including dietary ones) were met. On the actual night, the downstairs space was absolutely perfect for us, beautifully decorated and private. The food was fantastic and we were really well looked after. We were allocated our own barman downstairs, George who was brilliant, very attentive and such a nice guy, as were all members of staff that we encountered. The party couldn’t have gone better and we were so pleased that we had chosen this special venue to celebrate at. Harry, Natasha and the whole team obviously work so hard to make everyone feel welcome and it really is one of (if not the) most beautiful restaurant and bar in Southend I would thoroughly recommend San Fairie Ann to anyone looking to host a party, or just eat and drink in a wonderful atmosphere!

Not sure what happened tonight? We had to wait a while for a drink, then one of our friends didn’t get hers, the waitress eventually came & said sorry, they’d run out of glasses. Sat down at 8, food arrived at 9.15, there was a half hour wait for the wellington, which was delicious! We weren’t asked if we wanted any more drinks, There was noise coming from somewhere, like a childrens party. Staff were friendly, but were not in any way attentive. What a shame.

We had high tea last weekend for a family members 40th birthday. The restaurant speaks for itself as far as decor & ambience is concerned.
