Wonderful pub with an excellent menu (loads of gluten free options!), great drinks, friendly staff (shout out to Nathaniel for exceptional service), and the best and biggest beer garden in Cardiff! Perfect for grabbing a coffee with your mum on a weekday morning, or having a fun night out with mates on a Saturday night! Family friendly, loads of sports showings (they take requests), a pub quiz, and celebrations for every special occasion! Will be back!

Decided to leave after ordering and waiting 45 mins then being told that one of the dishes ordered wasn’t available! I had had to ask about the meals before this happened. The waitress argued and said it had only been 40 mins. Hardly the point I feel but just paid for the drinks and left then. This was before Xmas and a lot of the tables were decorated beautifully but we were shoved in the corner with no decs around us and despite having booked I felt like an inconvenience. I noted there was a latge group of maybe 8 people in, and they were getting an attentive service while we were just ignored to be honest. Table was also sticky and it didn’t feel very clean. I won’t ever be visiting again, and was not going to let my mum give this place any money. Turned out great though as we went to Village Bistro instead which is awesome so every cloud!

Came here in June and it was a thriving pub. Rang w days before our current trip and everything appeared to be OK. But on arrival, and popping in for an evening drink, we were told the pub was shut as "the Brewery have sold it". No apology. Probably explains why as we walked in, two guys were raiding the place of its contents. What is it with this place? It used to be run by a lovely couple, strict rules but always welcoming and accommodating. Since then it has bumped from one crisis to another. So unpredictable. With the caravan site just around the corner, it should do sufficient business to get through the quieter winter months. Even the locals now boycott it apparently as you never know if it is open. Please, someone, grab hold of it, know how to run a business and get it back on it's feet.

Just popped in as I've driven by there numerous times,so thought why not give it a go!!.....wow what a shock! From the outside it doesn't look anything special however once you walk in through the 2 doors it's like stepping into the drs tardis! This place is huge! Excellent atmosphere, excellent food, excellent choice of ales and lagers both on tap and bottled. I had the large breakfast, what a bargain price! Lets put it this way its a steal! Piping hot and plenty of it!Plenty of parking, large outdoor seating areas, both patiod and on the grass area. Kids playarea (climbing frame etc, plenty for the wild rug rats to be kept entertained). Wheelchair access not a problem. Pool table inside, large dining areas. Upcoming events aa of May possibility of car boot sale, see glascoed pub car boot sale page

Really delicious food in a fantastic location. Worth a visit for sure. We had the special - Garlic pesto chicken sandwich, and it was amazing. Fresh artisan bread with a delicious and extra garlicky pesto. Clearly premium ingredients, which was reflected in the great taste and look. Side salad was really tasty and visually pleasing also. Coffee was pretty good. Service was speedy and very friendly. Price was very reasonable considering the excellent quality of food and ingredients.
