Nice relaxing atmosphere and good espresso

The disabled toilet was disgusting! Sun looked as tho hasn’t been cleaned for ages and toilet pan was really bad. If I hadn’t been desperate I would have walked out.

One gal with pink highlights too busy talking poorly about another lady that worked there that had just left. Very unprofessional. She was friendly to a regular but quite rude to me like she was put out that she had to serve me. We asked for HP sauce and in a very patronising and condisending way said we had to order that when we order our food. Pinky needs training on common courtesy Up date Sept 2024. Was originally served by the guy, although was pleased when Becky stepped in to help him. Becky was lovely with her service, polite and attentive. Caffe Nero should hire Becky to train others in customer service. Very respectful.

I like to go here as i can take my dog. Coffee is always good. Staff work hard, never enough staff. Toilets disgusting not sure when they were last cleaned! Smells terrible. Need a cleaner badly

Polite, friendly staff, good selection of drinks available, only thing that let's it down is the seating is getting a bit dated and worn but a good place for a coffee, some outdoor seating available

This place is very dirty. The toilets and baby changing area is absolutely filthy. The toilet hadn’t been cleaned. The main floor was filthy and could do with a good clean. The staff had a very laps a daisy attitude. Would rather stand around gossiping than doing jobs,that were in desperate need. Over priced coffee in a dirty dank shop. I won’t recommend this place or return

Coffee was bitter but the cake was very nice. Service was just fine but too dark in there. Nice lighting would be far more inviting.

Better state of repair than most Caffe Nero that I have visited. Very friendly staff, plenty of cushioned, relaxer chairs and not the grubby fabric chairs that you see all too often in other Nero branches. Plenty of seating, good food and coffee and a warm welcome. Would recommend

Always enjoy Caffe Nero, and this one is good. Busy, friendly and hasmgood coffee. We wanted decaf coffee, and they were happy to serve it.

I come to Caffé Nero quite often and usually have a good experience. Dogs being allowed is a definite plus 👍 Thank you to Angharad for always making amazing coffee, being so nice and making our visit so much better! 👏

Lovely coffee but place is so dirty under sofa cushions are full of crumbs and dog hairs and so is the flooring it is a pity as the coffe is great

Whilst I like to support local independents and small chains, Nero simply does the best coffee in town. Food offering is a bit drab and service can be slow as the place is always busy

Ordered 2 lattes and stopped for a break whilst visiting Abergavenny. Excellent friendly service from the barista. Clean, open and relaxing coffee shop, which makes a change.

Really enjoyed with place I've been going for year,the food it great and this place is perfect for everyone.

We just had drinks here. The service was very good. Staff appeared happy and drinks were made quickly. We ended up waiting for the rest of our group here so we were around for a while and the atmosphere was calm, relaxing and a great place to read, do puzzles and chat. Only 4* just because I found it very dark so could have done with some more lighting but that was only a personal preference.

The staff are friendly and helpful giving very good service. The coffee is great. Cafe Nero is normally great at pasties and heir pan au raisins are to die for. But not here. Sometimes they are not cooked or barely browned. Do not ask for them to be heated I could not eat the result.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I asked if they could carry our drinks to the table as I am unable to since my stroke; and on both occasions they were happy to help.

A few more vegan options and you'd get 5 stars.

A really nice place that serves lovely food & beverages in a cosy atmosphere. The staff & service was excellent.

We took our dog for a walk and stopped in for a quick coffee. He was welcomed by staff and customers alike. It's nice to be able to relax with a coffee indoors and have him along too.

This is an ultra pleasant and relaxing place to come (whether you are looking to meet friends or just sit here and watch the world go by). It is clean and the staff are very friendly. It is also very useful if you want to get some work done and sit in a relaxed environment with music. There are WIFI facilities here and they are very fast. I will definitely be returning....

There were 5 people in front of me and it took almost 25mins to get my coffee...ridiculously slow. Nice staff, but sooooo slow...and there seemed to be quite a few of them around so really no need for it to take so long. V frustrating.

The staff are always lovely. But do they really not do table service. They always seem to start serving me at the counter. Never know if I should walk away or not? They serve coffees with cream though which is nice; always a rarity in the UK. Update: it’s stupidly hot in there. There’s no aircon. I feel like a baked potato.

Comfortable and relaxing atmosphere

Recently I have taken to using Caffe Nero for my caffeine hit. I have found the taste suits my pallete better than most. Probably become an avid customer!

The ladies there yesterday gave excellent customer service! Very friendly and welcoming, bringing a smile to my face. I enjoyed my food and drink in a positive atmosphere. Thank you :)

Sat on an outside table on Saturday, after waiting for a table, no one came out to clean tables or collect from table. Had to bring own drinks out. What is wrong with the rules regarding hospitality industry, Table service only. Coffee was very good, but not sure about another visit during Covid 19 pandemic

Unlike other coffee venues in Abergavenny, Cafe Nero have a good efficient C-19 system. They also sell great coffee & croissants.

Overall was a lovely cafe, clean and offered lots of variety. Staff were friendly and helpful. Currently only accepting card payments due to Covid.

Quite a nice place, quite cosy. A little on the pricey side but glad it was open late on a Sunday afternoon. I highly recommend the crumble cakes! Service was good, the coffee was nice and the cafe was nice and clean. I'd go again.
