The Glascoed Pub in Monmouthshire

Carl and his team looked after us brilliantly during our week long Christmas break in the area. We ate here three times and visited most days for drinks. Everybody in there was very friendly and welcoming. We certainly hope to return.

What a fantastic place! Hosts are very good, service was excellent, food came piping hot and absolutely stunning and tasty! I had the 10oz rump asked for medium/well and it came out spot on! peppercorn sauce was tasty too. Will 100 % go back here again!

Great lunch at a great price. Excellent curry and chips... Great place for a friendly, quick couple after work to unwind. The sauna and cold water therapy are brilliant, and the instruction is invaluable. They are there with you every step of the journey. Highly recommend!!!

Stunning sunday dinner today well done to all staff very plesant and nice atmosphere

Myself and my family went here last night for contrast therapy in the cold plunge and sauna and OMG it was amazing ! Carl the instructor was amazing ! So good , so funny and really made the experience even more so ! Felt amazing after it , would highly recommend! 5 STARS!!

Went for a wedding party. Very quaint venue. They ran out of some beers but its not their fault we were very eager to throw our money over the bar. I think we almost drank them dry. Haha

Didn't have food this time, will have food next visit. We experienced the cold tub and hot sauna, great fun. Felt wonderful after! Coming again 😃

We went here for Father's Day lunch and were very disappointed. Just two small slices of beef on the largest size dinner. None of the vegetables were anything special and the green beans were tough and stringy. We all felt the staff had no interest in giving good service. Their website says it's dog friendly but when my son arrived with his very well behaved dog he was told dogs weren't allowed inside. As they weren't serving food outside she had to stay in the car whilst we ate. We couldn't find a water bowl either. Certainly won't visit again and wouldn't recommend to anyone else.

Nice to be able to sit outside in the sun and have a pint. Real sun trap and great open area. Good kids area.

We went for a meal with our friends and kids, and it was really good. We're going back again. Great spaces inside and outside for the kids to play.

Excellent pub and food venue. Burgers are better than anything you'd get from big named brands (McDonald's, Burger King). Affordable and very very tasty.

Enjoyed our Sunday lunch but seating area wasn't very good sat in an empty room with a wonky table. Maybe next time I'll book a table 🤔 I must say if it hadn't been for the gravy it would have been 4 stars yum yum 😋

I come here for the first time for a Sunday absolutely superb food and lovely staff, I could recommend this to anyone plenty to do here as well park for kids, pool, darts. I will be returning!

We went to the hwb to do the cold water plunge! It was absolutely amazing! The people were so funny and friendly . The amenities there are just amazing from the plunge pool ,sensory tanks, huge bar,amazing wedding venue,and the ideas the owner has to promote mental help and support is just fantastic!!! Can’t wait to go again

We went for a Sunday dinner here and was amazing! The food was all hot when we went and a lot better than most places I’ve been to for a Sunday dinner, definitely recommend!

Absolutely stunning carvery, the homemade roasties are to die for! Very reasonably priced, It’s always our go to on a Sunday as we love how warm and cozy it is! Also a Beautiful place to visit in the summer that has a safe enclosed park for the kids to play! Staff are friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend!

We came out for Sunday lunch without a booking, we were given a table quickly and served near enough straight away. Lovely dinner and definitely worth the money! Staff are lovely, definitely recommend!

Not sure what the last review was about. But me and my partner had the best carvery here, the roast beef was amazing and veg was cooked perfect and gravy was to die for, great atmosphere and great selection of drinks on draft. Absolutely rubbish. £7.95 for one sausage and a few French fries for the kids. Veg was cold . Never eating here again.

Lovely run out to usk on Sunday afternoon. Sunday lunch excellent. Out door safe play area and open field for children to run, whilst still in sight. Very relaxed atmosphere with good food. Dining space outside or in . Highly recommend 😊

Absolutely amazing Sunday roast , well worth a try

Worst steak I've ever had, everything sticky, filthy and in need of a good clean, steak sandwich consisted of chopped up unrecognisable meat on a piece of toast covered in a congealed luke warm sauce a quarter of a tomato, 3 salad leaves a strand of red onion and balsamic, with some stale nachos 🤢 44 pound for frozen reheated slop, customer service was non existent.....shocking experience 😑

Absolutely fantastic service - fantastic food. We will be coming back on a regular basis. Everyone enjoyed the food and the banter behind the carvery ! Fantastic this is my new regular Sunday Funday ! I made a comment about the Toby carvery only allowing Yorkshire with beef but not stuffing. And the very hilarious chap in charge of the carvery gave me both and we had a joke about it it was all very funny and relaxed. We will return very soon 5* and it was worth every penny

Came here for few hours with family on Bank Holiday Monday. Nice drink in beer garden whilst the kids played in the park. Absolutely gutted they wasn't serving food at 1450. Fingers crossed next time. Kids loved the park. Happy faces all round.

Staff friendly and attentive. Carvery wasn't a proper carvery in my opinion due to the fact most of it was frozen. Carver wasn't dressed professionally. Food wasn't that hot. I doubt very much I'd return. An authentic Carvery needs to be the toby carvery every time.

I have visited the Glascoed many times with my family and friends and we are never disappointed! I regularly come back as it has a great outdoor play area for the kids, friendly staff and great food! Would highly recommend to anyone!

They may be neither comely nor particularly fit, but they do their best, for England. Pet friendly, I suppose, as the curly dog wool in my chips looked more than a bit like the very poodle I was up the road looking about for. Happy Endings.

Quite possibly the worst Sunday lunch ever. There was a party of 13 of us who were rushed to order before even being seated. At this point they told us to “just go” in the function room where we spread out across 3 tables. No menus given, just told to order at the bar. When I got to the bar I ordered my drink and just as I was about to ask what the meat options were the waitress very abruptly said “food?” and rushed me to make my decision. As if the customer service wasn’t bad enough, the food was just as bad. Cold, frozen veg and roast potatoes. No offer of a refill of drinks, starters or desserts. Absolute dump of a place, take your custom elsewhere!

I don't usually leave reviews but I strongly feel that no one else should spend their money at this place. We got rushed through and told we had to order urgently. When we went to order, they then had nowhere for us to sit. We were a party of 13 but we just pushed into the 'function room' and told to sit where we wanted. The 13 of us ended up spread over 3 separate tables that weren't particularly close. As for the food, we all had the carvery which consisted of frozen vegetables and frozen roast potatoes. The whole thing was unappetising. No one came over to offer starters or deserts. It honestly felt like we were in a school dinner hall. Please please avoid. Absolute shambles.

We were having a family get together to celebrate my sons birthday. 5 adults and 4 children. We all had something different to eat. Couldn't fault it at all. My daughter in law is vegan and she was catered for too. Nothing was too much trouble. The kids enjoyed the outside play area. Worth going. We will be back

Mixed review. Great place to take the young family as the ground facilities are amazing with a fantastic park. Food used to be so tasty with real chips. However food was not good and was a big disappointment & was over priced for what it was. I would definitely return with the children come the summer months for pop and crisps but wouldnt go for a meal.

Went there for a family birthday. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They food was good quality and reasonably priced . We all had a lovely evening. Would recommend and we are going back soon for the breakfast with santa .
