I went to the cafe only to get a take away coffee it was before 5pm, but we went in the guy said we're shut now! So rudely! The open signs were still on, and signs outside aswell. They were all just standing outside smoking, chatting, so they weren't closed they just couldn't be bothered.

We went to Pennys after discovering the two other cafes we had identified were no longer in business. The place was clean, the owner friendly and welcoming but the food, while adequate and inexpensive, was uninspiring. Other cafes where I have given a high score have gone the extra mile with home baked bread, cakes, scones, homemade soup, burgers etc. As it was, we had a chicken baguette (processed chicken slices in a sub roll), turkey and stuffing baguette (processed turkey and stuffing in a sub roll), cheese on toast (processed bread and cheese) and two beefburgers with cheese, onion and chips (processed breadcakes and cheese, commercial burgers). With 4 cups of tea and an orange drink, the bill was £28 so, on the one hand we weren't robbed, but on the other hand we were disappointed.

This is a lovely little coffee shop and it’s Dog friendly indoors too. They have a nice menu which takes allergies/diet preferences into consideration.

Fabulous ice cream with lots of flavours, best in the area and I have tried them all. Generous scoops and really good price

This is a lovely, friendly art gallery that has a good selection of Chris Neale prints which was the original draw to the shop. It was a nice surprise to find that it also hosts a small coffee/tea room too which was good value and served up in very fancy cups!

Food has gone down hill lately, quality is poor and portions sparse. Service used to be good but they are constantly short-staffed and pushing the self-serve option now which seldom works. I feel sorry for the staff there as they’re told to push people to use self serve but then have to take orders from disgruntled customers when it doesn’t work. And waiting for service takes forever. All in all, there are much better places to spend your money.

Lovely place , lovely staff, very friendly. Dog friendly! - stopped off here for some lunch and it was lovely as you'd expect from the lounge chain. Very spacious and accommodating - food was lovely and quick service. Reasonable priced. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Amazing food and good beer... Maybe one more choice of real ale would be good, but we like what's there so it's OK. Staff are lovely and helpful. Biggest drawback is the food service time which finishes at 7pm. We like to have a drink or two and then eat. Sometimes it feels like they're rushing to get your food order done rather than let you go at your own pace. Not everyone wants to eat as soon as they arrive. Aside from that it's a lovely place and probably the best pub in town for food.

Pop into her before heading to climb cadair idris. It was plesant not to busy and clean looking. We both ordered the large breakfast for £9.95 each food came surprisingly quick so i was worried that may not be the best but to my surprise the food was amazing would definitely recommend to anyone in the area
