What a fantastic Pub! Staff are lovely! Nice selection of drinks show nearly all sports and have a huge beer garden. They are also dog friendly ! I will definitely be back.

Me an me mates would come along way to stay and have nice night in a fun local country pub but the last 2 visits have been shocking, new staff aren't as interested and the pool has gone up and they closed early twice on the weekend

This place used to be mint but as of the last few month it has definitely changed. I used to think I could come in for a Sunday afternoon or a Friday night and it would be the same energy but it has changed which pains to say, prices gone up loads and last call comes about before watershed

Great pub. Nice range of ales, friendly staff, great atmosphere, large sports screens and good sound. Dog friendly. Only reason I didn't give it 5* was no food apart from crisps. Even a couple of items such as cheese or ham sandwiches or toasties would make a big difference. Or even easier pasties/pies in the microwave.

Cracking place, kept well, good selection of drinks at reasonable prices and friendly staff. Lovely beer garden, too.

Visited this sports orientated pub twice whilst staying at a camping music festival near by. Like most sports bars, 'don't talk whilst the football is showing'. Only one real ale on tap and doesn't change. It is kept and served well, congratulations to the cellar person. The pub is clean, good friendly service and is dog friendly also had a reasonable paved garden area. To sum up, pleasant visits and will certainly return some day.

A lovely local pub with friendly staff and a warm atmosphere. This pub has a pool table and dart boards and has TVs around every corner showing football, rugby or just sports in general, great for sport enthusiast's. There is a large outside space with a large screen, plenty of seating and a log burner for those chilly evenings. There is plenty of car parking space. This pub also has a large Marquee which is used when there is a big event, which are always a sold out success! This pub is dog friendly and children are welcome up to around 9pm. The facilities are always clean. This pub is also available to hold your own personal event such as a birthday party or funeral wake, just speak to Zac (Landlord) or Mikki (Manager) who are always so friendly and helpful. This pub is a beautiful old pub with character and personality. The locals are welcoming and the staff are excellent. Overall, a rare gem in the middle of this little town.

Pleasant enough guy behind the bar, but we'd stopped because the sign said 'Pub Grub'..but they don't even do sandwiches, so it was misleading and disappointing..

Visited here over the weekend, the pub was lovely. Toilets and pub it’s self is really clean. We were staying at herons lake retreat which isn’t too far however the public footpath to get to caerwys is very steep and muddy, we decided we would try and get a taxi back so asked the pub owner if they could call us one. He offered to take us back as we wouldn’t get a taxi in the area. He went above and beyond and we really appreciated it. Staff were really friendly and the outside area was beautiful! We would have stayed longer if we weren’t getting back to the lodge to watch the football. Will definitely visit again!

A lovely pub! Refurbed in the last few years, I gather this is a sister establishment to The Piccadilly. This serves drinks only (not food, other than crisps/nuts etc) and shows sports. Inside (when allowed!) and outside are really nice welcoming spaces, plenty of tables outside, some of which are in the sun and some sheltered. The landlord and his staff are friendly and provide an excellent service. There is car parking to the rear. The beer garden is really nicely done and has lights for the evening. It’s a really great place to enjoy drinks and catching up with friends or family.

We bought tickets well in advance. The event stated from 3pm. We got here early and spent a fortune on drinks but event didn't start till 6pm! Bad advertising! Great pub usually, disappointed in this event. Advertised 3pm. Had 3hours of drinking from 4 of us before bands started. Naughty!

Great pub, dog friendly and really well fitted out. The outside area is great, fake grass and cool wooden outbuildings with string lights. Pool table and dart board too. It's a sports bar too so there's tv's for that. No food served here so don't turn up expecting a nice steak.

Small range of normal beer but on this occasion no bitter just lager or Guinness type. Busy evening crowd . Pool room.

Gave it a five as it might be good if it served food !! Try the Picadilly. Why ask for a review of food when this pub doesn't serve it! Great as a pub watched two Sky matches good drinking place. Can't review the Picadilly as we didn't eat there lovely for a drink. So take five star rating tongue in cheek!

Popped in for a pint great welcome from barmaid. Good selection of beers and wines. Good atmosphere got talking to the regulars. My pint was great and looking at the drop on the other pints looks like they look after their lines.

Called in for a few drinks with friends on a Saturday at to the nearby log cabins. Ended up having some food with the drinks and the staff were very friendly and the food was very nice. Would recommend a visit

El pub no tiene ninguna consideración con sus vecinos, las personas que dan la mayoria de sus ingresos. Es muy alta y puede ser oído a varias calles de distancia hasta bien pasada la medianoche en una noche de sábado. Es mal supervisado en la zona, así que parece que se creen que no tienen que preocuparse por los alrededores familias. Si esta es la forma que desees para tratar a su clientela local sin odio pensar cómo alguien visitando la zona.

We went there for a couple of beers and a game of pool and ended up in a dart competition with the locals. Very friendly people, great pub with a lovely atmosphere.

Bit of a mix, some of it was great.... Some just average.The room was good, felt light and airy, wifi worked well.... Staff friendly enough.Reception was in a little gap by the stairs, and breakfast served in the corridor... Though you could eat it in comfort of the lounge bar.

El Royal Oak de old nunca fue la más atractiva de lugares. Pero, siendo uno de sólo 2 pubs en Caerwys no sean realmente mimados por elección. Mi última visita fue antes de la reforma de 2012. En esta ocasión se sentía como entrar en un Tardis nuevos. Es mucho más grande de lo que recuerdo, por lo que no te sientes muy apretado. Buena variedad de cervezas, vinos a precios muy razonables y licores. Pero ten cuidado, hay sólo 1 copa de vino!!! La gran pantalla de TV para la Copa Final fue una gran ventaja. Un nuevo jardín de cerveza. sitio muy acogedor con un personal estupendo. No hay comida aunque había una barbacoa de la caridad en el jardín de la cerveza. Tboroughly disfrutamos y volveremos.

Have a caravan nearby and always pop in here to watch football. Zac the owner doesn't skimp on quality of TV and watching match in HD in a nice pub that charges just £2.40 for a bottle of peroni takes some beating.

Always had a lovely time in here. It doesn't serve food as the owners own the pub around the corner and they serve food.They have a big screen for watching sport. It is a lovely atmosphere in the pub and you don't feel like you are encroaching on the locals pub. Staff are friendly and remember you which I likePool table and darts available
