Excellent service, very warm and welcoming. Iewan was super friendly and the food was great value for money so thank you Tommy for preparing it. I visited with my siblings and our partners and we all enjoyed the atmosphere and relaxing vibes.

Nicky, dan p, Chris cooked the food amazing. All foh staff were great especially Tom Faye and Kaitlin. It’s a real shame Jack isn’t working here anymore he was the best!

Lovely staff who were polite, happy and attentive. The place has a very pleasant ambience. We thought that the food was good -we have the kebabs which were nicely served.

Pen y Bont Farm Restaurant , our first visit to this lovely warm welcoming Restaurant I am very impressed. The food was excellent, cooked by Dan PIcton for a party of 18 people we all got our meals at the same time and piping hot well done Dan . The service we received from front of house, and our really lovely warm personality Amanda our server . Nothing was to much trouble her to help us enjoy a precious family meal together . Joe and Jack were absolutely lovely, joking and chatting with the younger lot of the family and entertaining us all with their light hearted attitude! Food was absolutely top notch, enjoyed every bit of it. Only complaint is the outrageous prices of the wines! £11 for a large glass of red or white?? £30 for a bottle?? Unless we we had taken a wrong turn and ended up in a Michelin star restaurant, the prices should not be this high. My nan was charged around £20 for simply a glass of red, a glass of Coke and a pint of beer. Awful.

We had a fab meal last night. Superb service. Greeted with a warm welcome. Got a lovely booth! We got served by the lovely coral!!! She was so lovely and so patient while we chose what to have. Nothing was too much for her!! Very rare to see nowadays. Thank you so much again we will definitely be returning Xxx

As always it was a delicious meal! My favourite local to us place to eat in . Food is always piping hot and delicious. Staff are always bubbly ,friendly and very approachable. Tonight our food was cooked by Lennon and was absolutely perfect! We were served by Jack, a lovely, polite young man. Made us feel welcome and looked after. And had a great sense of humour. Much to recommend but the most striking thing was the warmth of the staff The food was lovely and the overall decor was easy on the eye We have only visited twice but we are already planning our next visit

The pub was clean and tidy, the staff were very informative, mentioned they were a little busy with a few large parties and asked whether we wanted starters while we waited for mains (which could be 30 mins). Food came out quite promptly and was very nice. The whole atmosphere made the event, a reunion of work colleagues who hadn’t really met each other for over 10 years a really enjoyable evening.

Friendly staff, and I've had the cheese pie in the past but this time it was so much better because they gave plenty off veg and delicious chips with it .

Came here as a large party of at least twenty. I had the steak which was very surprisingly good (cooked medium to a good standard) which the menu said came with chips (it did but only a handful amount although they were nice) and a cooked tomato - the Peppercorn Sauce I chose strangely came at an additional charge. I chose for dessert a berried crumble with custard (the custard could have been doubled in size and it would still be too small but hey ho). Service was a little haphazard but was done by all staff in a courteous manner with staff Chloe shining out with her superb service, a credit to the team. Would I come again? I hadn’t visited this pub for easily six or seven years but yes I will make a few visits now that I know that good standards are being applied.

Would love to thank all the staff at Pen Y Bont Mold especially Sam and Joshua for making my surprise 50th birthday meal such a fantastic night for all. So friendly, helpful and flexible given it was booked last minute and without numbers known etc, I truly had a fantastic evening xx

Went for a 50th birthday meal with the family and the service was outstanding! The staff went above and beyond to make this a special occasion memorable especially our servers Sam and Joseph. They especially ensured we had everything we needed at a moments notice and nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful decor, welcoming environment and delicious food with a unique menu to fit everyone. Will definitely be going again, a night well spent!

Party of 10 + baby. Food was good all came out together. The 1 year old enjoyed her food. We would have had a desert but we were full. Will return but next time I won't be paying for 11 although we did have 30% off Which made it less painless.

We were a large group who booked. Food was prompt and so was the service at the table, but the bar service was extremely slow. 4 of us got up to get a drink and were waiting nearly 20 minutes to be served (and it wasn’t busy). People were getting served out of order (a man walked up and got served right away when we had been there 15 mins) and my friend had to ask a passing staff member waiting on tables if we could please get some drinks eventually. I think at prime time on a Fri night that needs to be addressed, So table service was good, bar service needs work.

We only had a coffee but we were so impressed by the staff that we have booked for Sunday lunch. Super excited

We had eaten at Pen Y Bont Farm the previous Saturday and enjoyed the experience so decided to invite a friend to eat with us on 3 April. We were greeted warmly at the entrance and shown to the “Booth” which we had requested. We ordered a drink and when the meal arrived it was enjoyed very much by the three of us. We were very well looked after by the staff throughout. We will certainly be visiting Pen Y Bont Farm again soon. Many thanks. Brian

We managed to get a table for 12md, as soon as it opened and were able to order fairly promptly. Our food arrived 20 min later. My dish of Pan Roasted Chicken was delicious and would definitely choose it again. My husband's & son's dishes were very nice too, Fish & Chips and Signature Burger.

I have been here twice in the last month, both times served by Jade who gave excellent service and was always smiling and happy when interacting, the food was great both times, made by Nicky and Brett. Sunday roasts are to die for, and the lunch menu is great too. Definitely recommend coming here for your meals.

Service was a bit slow, but it was Easter weekend and we had a large group, so no massive gripe. Food was decent, but nothing special. Starters were great (humous and calamari), mains were good, although beef was a bit tough and chewy with the beef dinner and both could have done with more gravy. Dessert was not good. I had a salted caramel sundae, and it was basically a bowl of unsweetened cream, with a little ice cream at the bottom. Very underwhelming. Overall I was satisfied with the visit, but wouldn't be in a huge rush to go back.

We had the Easter Monday vegetarian roast and a children's veggie roast with the banoffee cake, sundae and children's ice cream as a dessert. The food was lovely, and even our picky two year old, ate most of her food. The staff were lovely, despite it being a bust Easter Monday lunch time.

Food was warmish and service slow. 20 minutes just to get drinks. Setting is lovely and nice play area for the kids.

We spent a lovely evening with family at Pen Y Bont Farm. Head Chef Nicky and all her colleagues made sure that the food and service was first class last night. So pleased were we that we are again on Wednesday. Many thanks.

The food was very, very poor. When I was asked how the food was and said honestly that it was very bad, I was then treated with poor service too! We ordered two burgers, the buns were like someone has googled "dry McDonald's bun dupe". The burger itself was dry and quite cold. The chips were comparable again to what you'd get at McDonald's but worse. The onion rings tasted of water, they genuinely had no taste - not good or bad, just no taste at all. I waited over 15 mins for the waitress to come back with a card machine, gave up and went to find her chatting with a friend behind the bar. I told the waitress the food was awful, because it was - I actually resent having to pay £15 per meal for two meals that were actually bad food, no offer for them to be removed from the bill. I came here a few times last year and the food was so good, I was so disappointed with our meal and service.

As usual --the staff were proffessional, friendly and extremely helpful with a couple of personal requests. Food is always of high standard and piping hot.

We have visited recently a few times and I have to say that this is one of the best teams on the bar and food service I have ever seen . The food is lovely and brought out very efficiently . There is a lady on the bar sorry I don’t know her name slim build and blond hair and a lad on the bar who has recently given up smoking and drinking I am sorry I didn’t catch there names but I have to say they both deserve a special mention . Keep doing an amazing job.. Well done !!

I haven't been to the Pen Y Bont for several years, but we were looking for somewhere in Mold with parking to have lunch yesterday in between clearing out a house so we went due to convenience more than anything and I was very pleasantly surprised. The Pen y Bont offered a great choice of meals including a 2 course lunch offer. The rump steak was delicious, very nicely cooked and perfect size for lunch, we asked if we could have our crumble dessert as a takeaway, and our waitress was happy to sort out and we enjoyed this later in the afternoon. I would certainly not be waiting as long as I have before our next visit, I would recommend to friends and family.

Greeted with a smile and a warm welcome! Shown to our table and given enough time to choose food and drinks. Even when Dad went to the bar instead of waiting, a server came to make sure he was ok and not to worry she would bring drinks over. Food was amazing, we both had fish and chips, absolutely delicious and so much of lo it. I was sorry to not be able to clear my plate! The fish was divine and the batter was so light, it was the best I’ve had in a long time. The chips were to die for as well! Atmosphere was lovely, Christmas songs but not too loud but also enjoyable. All staff were lovely and approachable. I’m sorry I couldn’t leave a tip, but I’m grateful for a lovely few hours with my Dad. Thank you to all the team.

Never visited before, thought we would today. Lovely place, great service. The seabass was really tasty, my husband’s signature burger was equally enjoyable. Nice that dogs are welcome, but ours was having fun at his daycare!! Will definitely visit again very soon!

Hadn't been for a couple of years so looked forward to it. Very dissapointed to see the menu had been dumbed down to run of the mill pub fare. We were going to leave but persevered and ordered food. The old menu had some great choices and there was the rotisserie as well. The food is now mainly microwaved cook chill. My wife could still taste the sauce on the Hunters chicken the next day! The food was all cooked ok but you can't make a silk purse etc...The staff are all great and the venue is really interesting but we felt sorry for the team having to prepare and serve up such mundane and unimaginative food. We won't be going again.

Service was excellent staff were helpful but gave you time to settle and order your food. Plates and food were both hot and delivery quick. Starters were well presented and very tasty calamari was lovely and the pataè was good too. Mains we lovely sea bass was nice as was the spechials which were lamb shank and belly pork. Dessert 🍨 🥧 🍦were lovely too coffee very hot. Raspberry gin was lovely too a very pleasant afternoon. Well recommend to everyone. All Dogs and owners welcomed and children too. We'll worth the money.

Food was terrible, my chicken and mushroom pie sauce was split, the veg was lovely. For the price people pay. You can't serve bisto gravy with it, my caramel tart was poor, it had no pastry base and the filling was rubbery, like a bouncy ball, I've seen more tart on EastEnders. It's not on, I thought It was a classy pub but had marstons written all over it. It felt like I was at another wetherspoons with the ping meals, the pub needs to do better with the food. Lovely people that served us but food is poor.

Came here with family for my fiance's birthday actually switched restaurants as we thought this one was better, left very disappointed with food. Ordered lasagne and chips, and then for dessert ordered the chocolate dome. The lasagne tasted that horrible I ate about a third and didn't eat the rest, the chips were okay but I left them as the lasagne put me off. Lasagne tasted like someone had put washing up liquid in and the sheets were stodgy as hell. Thought dessert would save the day but couldn't eat all that either, the brownie that was on the bottom had a consistency that felt like they hadn't been cooked enoughed. The price for the food would lead you to expect a better quality of food. The waiters and waitresses were very polite sadly that was the only good part.

The venue was lovely, clean and warm. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food arrived hot and it was very tasty and there was plenty of it. Will go again.

Nice atmosphere good food, good service, and excellent price

Food was very poor, portion size on some of the plates was very small, the food was either over cooked and tough on another plate, the mixed grill, some meat was full of fat or hardly any meat at all, the desserts were extremely poor, the brownies were small, and over £6 for 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream is a joke. Overall very poor which was a disappointment considering it was for birthday, we would not consider returning.

Booking online was easy, they were very accommodating with our needs as we had to have wheelchair access, the service was fantastic, the food was excellent, it was clean and atmosphere was good , all I can say is overall it was fantastic.

We came for drinks on Mother's Day evening at an especially busy point - we were served by Grace who prepared our cocktails (and for her first time as well!) and she did an amazing job :)

It was extremely busy and we only wanted a drink so we were really grateful to be able to take the last couple seats at the bar. Grace was brilliant and although it was her first couple of mocktails/cocktails, she had a smile on her face the whole time and the drinks were delicious. Look forward to seeing you there again! Joe was also a brilliant bartender and cocktail maker. Really friendly and made us feel right at home. We come here quite often so looking forward to the next visit, as always.

9th March we had a table for 18 One star less for food only because it could have done with being a bit hotter. Otherwise service etc was excellent. Thank you

My friend and I had a catch up lunch , I had leak pie and was very tasty lots of delicious gravy and my friend had lasagne salad and garlic bread and it was very nice the lady that served us couldn't do a nough for us and was lovely . We both had a lovely time and will probably come again soon

The customer service was excellent. The staff were friendly and approachable. They were considerate of my disability too.The food was wonderful. I had scampi and the time before a chicken burger. Portion sizes were very generous and the price was good especially with the 30% off voucher. I will definitely be returning in the near future.
