The Old Bank in Flintshire

I recommend eating a real English breakfast. Super delicious, we took large portions but we couldn't eat them because there was simply too much food. The service is nice and helpful. A place with an English atmosphere.

Heard so much about this place we decided to try it. We walked in plenty of people eating there, always a good sign, we went to sit down but the table had not been wiped, we asked a young girl who had been on her phone to wipe the table her face let us know she was not happy, I said Thank you when she finished and she blanked me, not impressed. We had the breakfast each and to be fair it was spot on, really well cooked and delicious, the lady who was cooking was friendly and asked if the food was alright. Would I go again ? I think I would if only to check if the young girl had been taught when you clear a table wipe it down, and if customers talk answer them, and the food was delicious.

I was very impressed with the Old Bank and from the number of take away orders that came from the kitchen during my visit, I am not the only one. The service was friendly and helpful. I had a picky order but it was catered to exactly and speedily. The portion was really big and if I had a suggestion it might be to do "Pensioners Portions" My daughter joined me later for fish and chips, again a large portion but well cooked and served. The overall experience is something I will repeat soon.

Came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Atmosphere was nice and easy. TV on, quiet music. Staff were friendly and helpful. Service was quick. Food was fairly cheap, I ordered the halloumi burger which came out well presented, good amount of food for the price and it was all fantastic, couldn’t fault the food at all. Overall nice spot for lunch, would recommend and would come here again and try something else on the menu if I were passing the area.

Visited here yesterday with my son. I ordered the fishfinger sandwich. I was not offered brown or white bread as I am not supposed to eat white bread. Neither were we asked about allergies. The food took ages to arrive despite us being the only people in there. The Chef was too busy on his mobile phone ( not very hygienic). When my sandwich arrived it was white bread but was not fishfingers but greasy fried battered fish goujouns! If they were out of fishfingers they could have at least asked if I would be happy with an alternative! I ate it but only because I had been at a hospital appoinment most of the afternoon and needed to eat. We were not impressed. The food we recieved was nothing like any pictures/reviews we have seen. Which is why we went there in the first place. Never again.

My Son and I visited The Old Bank this afternoon. The lad behind the bar was very pleasant. However, we waited ages for the food despite there only being the two of us there. I recently visited after friends had recommended the breakfasts. On the whole it was delicious although expensive. Especially given the poor quality teabags they use. I left my bag in the cup for ages and still could barely distinguish it from dishwater. The other disappointment was the sausages. Very small and thin with a weird taste- like they were on the turn! Tinned tomatoes would be a nice option too!

Me and my girlfriend started going in here after Christmas for a Sunday carvery. The food is absolutely delicious with good portions, and excellent staff and service. We always book to come back each Sunday.

Went last night for the festive menu with 6 other people for our darts night out. Food was beautiful and all the meals were served at the same time. Very friendly an efficient staff. We enjoyed it that much we have booked to return next year x

Just called in and picked up a takeaway Sunday Roast. Lovely, welcoming and friendly team Excellent food and great value. Living on my own it is ideal to be able to collect a Roast to take home. Have a feeling this will become a weekly treat.

Wow the best tuna sandwich I have ever had . First visit to the Old Bank Cafe on the way to the train station . Friendly staff , quickly served ,clean pleasant surroundings . Well worth a visit if you're feeling a bit hungry ..

Lovely meal here at lunchtime. £10 for starter and main was value for money and really enjoyed it. Will be going again and woukd highly recommend.

From the outside, it looks like, well an old bank. However, the service and the food were exception. All the girls serving and cooking were great. I had the fish and chips with peas and it was as nice as I've ever eaten and very reasonably priced. Nice pint too. You don't get a fancy table cloth and napkins, but the food is what's important. I don't normally leave reviews, but this place probably relys on feedback, as from the outside it doesn't look like a quality eaterie, which it most certainly is...

First time here and it won't be the last , lovely home cooked food run beautifully by a local family a real gem in flint with reasonable prices.

Lovely meal at the old bank on Wednesday. I had cheese and onion sandwich with coleslaw and side salad and crisps. My friend had goats cheese flatbread

Absolutely terrible women in charge, Self opinionated, I cannot believe that she is the owner of an establishment that deals with the general public. God knows what would happen if you had to send a meal back to the kitchen, she would probably throw water over you. No idea of customer service.

Just popped in for a spontaneous lunch with my partner and it was lovely. Delicious food and super friendly staff. Very accommodating to my baby/pram also. I will definitely return. Thank you!

If I could give this place no stars then I would. Pathetic place. There's disabled access through the main door but no disabled toilets. My mum had asked about the toilet and they said there were only toilets upstairs. She saw us leaving and she said sorry. She didn't sound or look sorry at all. Would never go again even if I could walk.

My friend & I went for lunch today, I must say it was delicious thank you to the chef , all the staff are very friendly, we will definitely come back 🥰 xx
