Great breakfast and Coffees. Staff very friendly. Nice outside space. Definitely recommendable.

Really good cafe. Positioned close to both the bypass and a carpark. Outdoor seating is available in the right weather. I went for the large vegetarian breakfast, which was very good. Glamorgan sausage was a great and original addition. The tea was in a mug, nice and strong and piping hot. If you've never visited the village, make the effort to have a walk around the corner and explore after you've finished. It's a really charming place.

Nice little cafe with a good courtyard area for your dog to join you for some typical breakfast grub. All cooked very well - including the veggie option. My only negative comment. Dolgellau has a large Welsh speaking population. It’s not unreasonable to address people with the assumption that they speak Cymraeg. A simple smile and a “sorry I don’t speak Welsh” is all it takes. Here the service was bordering on impolite with the baffled look of someone who had just been addressed in Serbo-Croat!!

We eat here on a fairly regular basis, they do a superb full English breakfast, the best in Dolgellau by along way. The owner is a very pleasant guy, only been running it for a couple of years, may he continue with the excellent quality of food & great service for many years to come.

Popped in early afternoon yesterday with my brother.....friendly, smiley staff and a fabulous, super tasty, well cooked breakfast with proper bacon, all priced very fairly. We'll be back! Superb.

We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast here on our penultimate day in Dolgellau. I had the Large option with double bacon, sausage and hash brown whilst Shona opted for the not-so-small smaller breakfast

Absolutely lovely full english breakfast cooked to perfection. Even cooked a sausage and some bacon for the dog, that came cut up on a plate for him. Very friendly staff, 10/10. Highly recommended!

We called here today for lunch, having been to most of the cafe's in Dolgellau, this is the only one we would go back too. All the staff were very friendly, the place was spotless, the toilets were very clean, and the food was lovely three different meals all were spot on. And very reasonable.! Highly recommended. You must go it's a must. Looking forward to coming again.

Nice little place to pop in for a coffee and breakfast. Mocha was delicious, would definitely recommend. Food was freshly cooked, the quality and portion size great for the price (just over £8 for a large full English). Service from all was excellent to round it off. Plenty of other places to try in the area but I’d definitely give this one a go.

It’s slightly hidden, but is just off the Marian Car Park on the outskirts of the town. It’s really pleasant inside, not massive, so if it’s full make sure you come back. The serving team are really lovely. The food is delicious and freshly prepared, the kitchen is just behind the counter. Can definitely recommend, the menu is quite extensive for a small place too and the cream teas looked great. Might have one when I go back.

Tidy, clean and efficient. Breakfast was very good. Even the small version would be considered fairly large. All was tasty and well cooked. Asked for a flat white coffee (which is a black coffee with milk served on the side) but got something like a latte or cappuccino instead. Just another place that doesn't know what a flat white coffee is. It was still nice though.

With my granddaughter we called for breakfast prior to riding the trail yesterday. Quick service and freshly cooked food. A lovely cooked breakfast for me and the "best bacon sandwich ever" for my granddaughter. It was worth the one and a half hour journey for the breakfast experience let alone the cycle ride. We'll done and thank you.

Had lunch. Ordered fruit scone with butter and jam. Scone tasted one like Co-op. Not recommended.

A lovely café and reasonable prices, friendly staff who were happy to enlighten us with some Welsh words, the food was great and the inside of the cafe was very clean, there is seating outside under cover or open, it is perfectly located next to the car park within just a few feet, at the time of our visit there were a number of occupied tables with locals and tourists alike, this is a definite visit again place, please tip the staff with cash and support a friendly local business

The best full English (Welsh ?) breakfast I can remember having from any cafe or hotel. The portion size and quality of food was excellent with a great range including vegetarian options. Staff were welcoming, convenient location next to carpark and nice environment inside. Can't fault it. Just a shame it's 250 miles from home !!

Visited on a busy Sunday morning. Lovely atmosphere both inside and out. The breakfast is a sizeable portion and of good quality. No complaints at all.

Wanted to eat here, but I needed change before I could park my car on the nearby car park. After explaining this they sent me to town to find somewhere else to change a 20. I understand when I'm not wanted... To end in a positive note: the place looked charming though.

Sloooooooow. It doesn't take 35+ minutes to cook a breakfast. If you're having trouble, let the customer know so they can decide whether to stay. The food was alright.

Had the best bacon & sausage bap here. I was the envy of all my friends who chose sandwiches 🥪 which were nice too apparently ☺️

We stopped in Dolgellau to walk our dogs by the river. We saw this cafe and decided to have a quick lunch before continuing our journey to North Wales. Friendly staff. We ate outside as it was a lovely day. We both had jacket potatoes with cheese and beans, as good a jacket potato that I’ve have had anywhere.

Very good coffee, better than in most coffee shops. Large and well-priced breakfast, especially for the area. It would've been 5* if waitress's attitude was better. We waited for 20 minutes before they opened (staff members saw us outside waiting) and then they took orders from two parties that entered after us first. We had to wait 15 minutes to make an order. Waitress avoided eye contact before she served two other tables, very unprofessional and rude of her.

Had lunch here today, first time visiting since new owners took over and they didn't disappoint! Friendly and polite and the food was just lovely, everything hot and amazing scones too!

Top quality breakfast! First of many visits!!!

We visited for breakfast on a Saturday morning on way home from holiday. Pleasant staff, they had taken over in April and have made some changes but food quality isn't one of them. Pictured is the small cooked breakfast, very nice and filled us for the day. Recommended.

We try to come here every time we're in Dolgellau! The food is delightful and the staff are lovely! Portions are generous.....it's a great way to fuel up for a day in the hills! Great coffee too....that's always a winner with us!

Stopped here for a cheeky Breakfast whilst camping just outside the village. My only complaint is I didn't find the cafe sooner ! The owners/staff are extremely friendly and the food is cooked to perfection. I ordered a large Breakfast and OMG was it large ! This is the first time I've ever had to leave food on my plate and admit defeat ! It didn't just set me up for the day, think it set me up for the week ! Can't recommend highly enough, will definitely be returning (but maybe for a smaller Breakfast).

I’ve been coming to this cafe for over 10 years. On a regular basis. Ann & Roy run a lovely place but they retired. My last review when the new people took it over was quite critical. But today I decided to give them another try. This is no criticism of the new owners but they are not Ann & Roy and I need to get that out of my head and sample the food etc as a new restaurant. Well I must say it was very nice! They have reduced the cost and sourced different ingredients but on the whole still very nice. They are doing works to the building which is quest out the way but generally the restaurant was clean and uncluttered. I’m not a lover of cutlery in tins on tables, for hygiene reasons but I’m sure if I had asked for fresh they would t have been an issue. So to conclude food, very nice, lovely bacon and a nice portion size Cost, very good value for money Drinks, didn’t like the instant coffee, not the worst, but that’s my fault for not asking for Americano. Restaurant, clean tidy and uncluttered. I wish they would put better lighting in a bit dull. Would I go again, YES!!!

Always go to this cafe ...could never fault it. ...extra pot of hot water with pot of tea ....food fantastic . Toilet clean ...with lovely body sprays for men and women to freshen up with however. ...its changed hands ....and nothing lasts forever.....body sprays are no longer ....toilet full of cobwebs... no longer do you get pot of hot water to refill your teapot .. eggs hard ....sausage low quality....tomatoes cheap....mushrooms shrivelled up and dry ....hash browns cooked in. Funny tasting oil ....toast. ..which was always thick slices with lovely butter is now very thin slices .....genuinely disappointed ....very disheartening ..after many years of going I don't think wel be going again .....we were there about half nine am. Main season ..we were the only ones there .....which should of told us something as previously at that time you'd be lucky to get a seat at that time .....following morning went to barmouth. ...arrived at 8.55 am and there were ques waiting for the milk bar to open ....walked past 10 mins late it was packed out. . People were waiting for seats ...tells you everything .....

Parked in Dolgellau, desperate to find a café with a loo. So glad we fell into this one and decided to have lunch. Really enjoyed the home cooked delicious food, thoroughly recommend the veggie breakfast.

I have been coming here for 10 years, the food has always been excellent and the owners have always been friendly and welcoming. However it recently changed hands, it’s lost all the cosy welcome, it’s dark and dingy because they turn the lights off, service...

Greasy spoon cafe cheap tinned products way over priced owner was rude

Worst cafe I have ever been to, the mushrooms and tomatoes were from a tin and the sausages was disgusting. The price was way to much for what I received also the lady didn’t have very nice manners, offered others sauce etc but not my family, NEVER WILL I EAT HERE AGAIN

This cafe is well situated next to the towns largest car park and a shortcut into the town centre. The cafe is quite small but homely. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Above all the food is well prepared and tasty for a very reasonable price. They advertise the best breakfast in Wales and I would not argue with that.

As soon as I read "Lashings of butter" on the menu I was salivating! Toasted sandwiches are to die for. Milkshakes recommended too. Interesting bell at the 'Takeaway counter gotta try it then decide to find an outside table by the water feature. Returning soon

Great breakfast, massive portion!

Awful experience !! Asked if they had gluten free ( as i’m coeliac ) was told they had nothing but jacket potato available in a manner that made it clear I was a nuisance for asking. After biting my head off made a point of moaning about me to other staff right behind us that I had the nerve to request gluten free ( like I have a choice !! ) could hear constant moaning about orders and customers from the kitchen . They prioritised an order for 8 toasties after our order for 1 saying they had a small toastie maker and couldn’t manage them all , made it clear they’d rather we just left without eating there ! no organisation, terrible customer service, rude at every point , would Never ! Never ! Recommend visiting there , Dispicable place !!

On a wet day after a doggy walk in the hills we and our dog were made welcome (outside) and had the best bacon & egg sandwich we've ever had. To say it was generous is an understatement.

Easy access, easy parking nearby. Great food. Excellent breakfast, served despite us arriving after 12 noon. Really friendly staff and great service. Thick cut bacon was delicious. This place is a must. Only slight issue on an otherwise excellent experience was the quality of the tea. Not enough of an issue to downgrade from five stars. Overall absolutely excellent. Coming here again if we are back in the area.
