The Last Inn in Gwynedd

Day out with wife our granddaughter and Bear the dog and celebrate my 61st birthday . Popped in for a pint of Real Ale and a bite to eat and we weren't disappointed. Lasagne, Steak and Guinness pie and Cod and Chips and a Pint of Directors all excellent.

I had booked in advance and we were made very welcome the moment we walked in the door. The pub has bags of character and history! The food choice was good and the food was delicious, I had chicken parmigiana is was so nice (& huge!)

Its ok if you want a burger but i had this chicken covered in something with not the best mash. To be really fair it was not good at all. Think in future i'll just buy the beer as it is a lovely pub and the staff are friendly.

This place is a must on your list if you are visiting Barmouth. Lovely Inn. Great staff. Fantastic food.

Came here for food and it was lovely, everything home cooked and fresh and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. I particularly enjoyed being sat at the RNLI table having formerly been an RNLI lifeguard. We came with the dog and it was a bit uncomfortable for her on the hard floor but apart from that it was great

Delicious food, we had the Steak & Guinness pie, Steak Sandwich and Mac & Cheese Croquettes, all very good. Only thing I would add is a children's menu and it would have been nice to have had a real fire on in the cold weather we were visiting in.

We went for a lunch stop off and was not disappointed. The food was really nice, well priced and plenty of it! Staff were friendly and there was a good range of drinks.

Manager is extremely rude brash and bad tempered. Tables not prepared, wet and food prices are getting ridiculous. Footfall is high, so it should continue to do well in the summer though.

This is our favourite pub in Barmouth it has tons of character. The food is great and the staff are friendly and helpful. They have a good range of beers and the bar is dog friendly.

The pub is inviting and the staff are welcoming. It is dog friendly and appears to be open all year round which was very handy, as a lot of the cafes were closed on a midweek January day! The selection of food was good, prices were very reasonable and the food arrived quickly. We had the Steak pie which came with minted peas and a small jug of gravy to be able to add your own. The portion was generous and the pie was amazing. I would highly recommend this pub for both the food and the hospitality.

A warm welcome, wonderful service and a cosy atmosphere made this a lovely January visit. The rib-eye steak and welsh beef madras were both very, very tasty as were the accompaniments and all enjoyed with a well priced, good bottle of Malbec. No time for dessert as we had a train to catch but will definitely be back to try one!

The oldest, best and most popular Inn in Abermaw. Loads of atmosphere, regular live music and good food. Take care crossing the road to the beer garden, it is 20mph but very busy!

We’re just back from three nights in Barmouth and we went in here every evening- once for just drinks and twice eating. We loved it in here, the atmosphere was great, the staff were so friendly, and the food was delicious. Would highly recommend this place for any other visitors! If we are back in the area again we will definitely go back here!

We visited the Last Inn on our last visit to Barmouth and we were very impressed. The food and customer service was excellent. Food portions were very generous and didn’t leave you wanting more! The burgers are well sized and full of flavour. 2 of our party had the pasta dishes and again these were excellent. The salad bowl side is again generous, closer to a main portion. The venue itself is full of character. We will definitely be visiting again in the near future.

Christmas eve, Barmouth is dead but the Last Inn is alive and kicking. Flat out and deservedly so.

Service was great, really friendly and lovely staff. It says order at the bar but the waitress said she was happy to come to us while it was a bit quieter. They were out of the club sandwich which was a shame as it looked AMAZING. I had the scampi and hassle back potatoes. I asked for a swap from peas - because they’re rank - to a delicious coleslaw - the waitress said ‘you have whatever you want my love’ The atmosphere was lovely, such a Christmassy feel to it, decorated throughout. The food is tasty, relatively basic but tasty, portions are great. All in all, a lovely place to eat with a fab atmosphere and great staff.

The most evocative place to eat and drink in Barmouth..Great music..atmosphere...food and great staff. My friend and I had a great day at the Last Inn.Jaya was very attentive as were all the fron of house staff. Our meal was well presented and delicious. All the staff deserve a big thank you. We wish them all a great Christmas and plenty of happy customers.

6 adults and our Spaniel went for dinner. Absolutely amazing food with very generous portions. Gorgeous setting with a warm friendly atmosphere and extremely friendly and efficient staff. So good we booked again.

Popped in here for a few drinks one night, as we had already eaten. Friendly staff. Food looked great. Quite pricey though but I reckon it'd be worth it given what we saw coming out on plates. Dog friendly naturally

Not the first time we've been to the The Last Inn and definitely won't be the last. Brilliant place to eat and drink....I would advise booking though to avoid disappointment as it can get VERY busy .

Ignore the bad reviews this place is great. Stopped for lunch mid week but even then filled up with every table taken (surely a good sign). Staff very friendly and beer was great. Lunch time menu has a good choice. We went for cod loin and scampi both really fresh, very hot and tasty. Worth the price for both. Only feedback would be not to serve the food in the baskets. It’s impossible to eat from them and you have to process of tipping it out. Other than that great place, very quirky, super friendly staff and tasty food. We would recommend

Today, we had the pleasure of visiting The Last Inn. very quirky pub lovely. we ordered drinks and were repeatedly asked if we wanted food, which we decided to decline but was tutted and huffed at by the waitress. so we decided to eat elsewhere. there was an unwelcome atmosphere, which is a shame.

What a great place. We’ve been here quite a few times over the years. My wife and I had a lovely meal here yesterday, I had the line caught Sea Bass which was on the specials board, this was outstandingly good! Simple ingredients with a wonderful sauce and cooked to perfection. Lovely! My wife had the Welsh Lamb Cawl (Lamb & Vegetable Stew) which again was simple but super tasty. 👍😃

Called in again while in Barmouth. Interesting pub with a good range of ales. Was going to eat and the food looked good but looking at the menu, thought it was over priced...the burger I wanted was £17.95.....just too much for a burger.... and wasn't paying £26.95 for a steak....sorry but thought food and drink overpriced? Walked up the other end of town....Happy hour(s) and food that was kinder on the wallet......

Great atmosphere and lovely service. Popped in for a drink and a snack. The food was served within 15 minutes of ordering. Enjoyed fish and chips and a cheese and ham ciabatta. Loads of areas to sit, inside and out (if you have dogs). Very friendly and will definitely go back.

Called in for a snack and drink on 9th October. Having to wear tinted glasses was immediately plunged into darkness and couldn't walk safely. Fought my way to gents toilet through all the kitchen stores and equipment, only for the sensor lights to go out within 30 seconds of going in (I was lucky - no lights at all in the ladies). Extremely rude, bad tempered barman then charged me £9.95 for a "Ploughmans" sandwich. Love Barmouth but won't revisit The Last Inn

Lovely lunch in this quirky little pub-restaurant. Very quick response to my message via Facebook. Made to feel welcome with my 2 labradors when we arrived on a rainy afternoon. It was nicely busy and we really enjoyed our visit. Thank you!

Loved this place, secured a table without a reservation with help from a very helpful and efficient staff member. Food was great we all enjoyed our dishes and to top it off thr atmosphere was really nice.

Lasagna needs more meat had one piece which it cost me £17.99 lol extra garlic bread costs £7 could I got it from Aldis for 89p sorry but true

Always excellent food, service and atmosphere. Whenever we are in Barmouth we always call in. Not always for food. Always for a proper pint. Really like the pub. No tv's, no pool table. Just like minded people. Excellent.

I thought I was in my element when I walked into this pub as they had my favourite beer, Directors. We were ordering food as well. The Directors was undrinkable. It didn't look, taste or smell anything like Directors. When I mentioned how bad it was, I wasn't even offered a replacement. I purchased another beer instead. The Welsh Ploughman's was nice, The Chicken in the basket was OK. The pubs decoration was brilliant. photos, Directors on the Right, other beer on the left.

I've been twice. Looks amazing but I couldn't get a booking. So sad . From outside it looks beautiful and charming. Seating and flowers by the harbour.

Fantastic pub and excellent service. Walked in on a busy Saturday night wanting a table for food for two. Greeted by the manager who said they were fully booked but would see what he could do. Just before they stopped serving food he came over, took our order and said, I've sorted it, I'll find you a table let's just get your order in. This guy went over and above to fit us in and I'm very greatful. The food was fantastic and we ended up spending the rest if the night there drinking. Deffianelty be back again! Thank you.

Visited while down on my holidays. By far the best meal of the trip. Food cooked and served to perfection. Very friendly staff, great priced beer. Will definitely be going back when I next visit. 10/10

Managed to get a seat outside before the masses arrived at around 12:30 today. Really would recommend the Welsh Ploughman's. It was so yummy and filling - £14.95. Off to buy the snowdonia cave aged cheddar that came with it. Pickled balsamic onions were scrummy too. My other half had the chicken in a basket which was also lovely with really chunky chips that were cooked to perfection!

Tale of two halves. Mackerel was superb and I sent compliments to the chef. Amazing. Odd to have no starters on menu,not even olives/ bread /oil type Also a lot of add ons were "off" online rings etc. Not a problem to us but even so... I had the last mackerel. Chap next to us had the last T bone Not a vast choice of mains except if you love burgers. Desserts 3 out of 5 not available. Now, on a Wednesday night at 630 you don't expect the kitchen to be this thin on the ground( son runs his own at home and would have gone out to restock himself from supermarket for essentials!) When I mentioned our disappointment ( that it was our 40th anniversary treat) The person taking the bill almost shrugged his shoulders, muttered something about delayed delivery and charged us full price. Could not care less. Server was lovely, so embarrassed. Look out Last Inn,don't count on past glory! The Inn has been our go to for years but tonight was a big let down.

Lovely place - managed to squeeze us in without a reservation on what was a busy night. Both had the sea bass which was excellent. Great service and not unreasonable prices.

One of my favourite pubs, everything right for me. Lighting, music, just so very chilled but was after a Bank holiday Monday so think I dropped in at the right time.

Beautifully presented, tasty fresh food with quick service. Been twice for lunch in two days it was that good!
