Its a great wee stop on the road north. The cafe is cosy, quaint and full of nice cards and gifts. There is a nice range of different herbal teas and the usual teas/ coffees. The cakes all looked fab, and we had the fluffiest lightest fruit scones I've ever had the pleasure to eat - the portion of cream was generous and the locally made rhubarb jam was delicious too!

The absolute best place for breakfast in Shetland. The food and drinks are delicious, and beyond that, the people have hearts of gold. I stopped in one morning before a tour, wanting to get a Diet Coke and the credit card machine wasn’t working. Christiane gave me the Coke anyways and said don’t worry about it. Me! A complete stranger. And when we went back for another breakfast (and I was able to repay her), I bought a bunch of scones for our travels the next day. As luck would have it I lost them somewhere during that day. I went back to Pete’s to ask if I had left them there. No joy. After re-walking the entire town I gave up and came back to buy a sandwich for the next days travels. When Christiane give me my bag she said I’m out of the kind of scones you bought this morning, but I put in another one with jam and cream to make up for it. They are so kind.

I appreciated that they have gluten free options with gluten free bread. I took French toast with mascarpone cream and Shetland milk. Everything was good and tasty. One little thing.. I didn't like eating in a cardboard.. however it was a minor issue and I would recommend this place to other people.

We had an excellent lunch yesterday at a more than reasonable price. Two of us had the meal deal and the other a wrap but it was a difficult choice as everything looked so good and fresh. The meal deal included a delicious bowl of soup, bread roll, piece of fruit and a hot drink. A little off the main town as it is on the lower floor of the Toll Clock Shopping Centre but well worth the effort. We were served by lovely staff and a good chat with one the owners. Would highly recommend.

This was an excellent stop for breakfast (wish we had gone for lunch too). Had bacon and sausage whilst wife had bacon and egg - cooked from fresh and were very tasty Had a decent choice of jacket potato and fillings available too It’s not luxurious - down to earth with great food

When you first realise that the building is actually a shop you are delighted to have found somewhere to buy food or in fact almost anything else you can think of. The bakery section is particularly welcome for hungry explorers. It’s a shame they don’t still have the DIY cafe.

OK technically. We went in around 3.20, to be told that as it closes at 4.00 only takeaway cups were available. A black mark from me. My coffee and my wife’s tea were tasty. At my age (high 70’s) going into a cafe for a drink is usually because a sit down is desired. Equally a proper cup and saucer. It was not said, but probably we should have sat outside. After 10 minutes all the other chairs were being turned upside down on the tables.

Excellent cafe based downstairs at Bonhoga Gallery and shop. Cakes, made by young woman who runs cafe, are amazingly good and reasonably priced. Nice views of stream and countryside. Can be busy at lunch time but otherwise OK. Simple lunch menu...soup, quiche. Friendly service.

What a wonderful place to stay with a view to die for. Loved it so much I’m going back in March. Curtis and Scot really looked after me in the Restaurant and a happy couple who made me feel right at home. Nothing was too much for them and even got to have puppy hugs from Marge, their 12 month old Daschound and not to mention awesome taste in music. The lady Chef cooked amazing meals as well, (sorry I can’t remember her name, Roaor I think). Tracy on Reception was very helpful and welcoming and even the cleaning staff were very nice. Very clean with a super comfy bed. Definitely one of the better Hotels I’ve stayed in.

If you are visiting Unts, you should definitely visit for a drink. Keep an eye on their Facebook page as they seem to offer food on a few days a week. We were incredibly lucky and managed to book a table for 12 just a day in advance (we really didn't want to stay for dinner at our hotel nearby). The lady who runs the pub was very friendly and replied very quickly. We were in Unst 2 nights and had drinks here both days. It also happens to be the UK's northernmost pub :)
