The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Highland Highlands and Islands

We visited this place to have a drink or 2. Kingussie does not have any pub really, Chillies is associated to a hotel in the area so the staff gives priority to hotel guests, not us visitors and nothing is wrong with this, priorities are in place I guess.

The fab cinnamon buns elevated our coffee stop from great to awesome! Other really yummy cakes are available. Oh, and the vegan tomato pizza swirl looked great too if you fancy a savoury.

Coffee was pretty poor. Only 3 biscuits on offer. Worst thing was the place was FREEZING. Staff were all wearing coats and hats inside. Perhaps problem with heating? If so they should have closed! Or given coffee for free! We left early!

Booked for a family group of 6 for the pottery painting . They were only expecting 3. Poor lady trying to staff the shop , cafe ( which btw now only does drinks and cake , not as advertised light lunches etc ) . Takes place at a table in what was the excellent cafe previously. Someone sent over from factory to ‘mix glaze’ . Neither she nor he had any experience of doing this. Was advertised as paint a medium mug or a beaker. Apparently no medium mugs only beakers. No instruction, no guidance left on our own to proceed . Would have left but didn’t want to disappoint the three children. No idea what colour the glazes would turn out! Got on with it …no idea what to do! no one came back to check on us and when we’d finished had to seek someone out to see how to identify ours and when would be ready. One of the party eventually found someone to find some forms online and download! Absolute fiasco from start to finish. Given the high end brand International ANTA pottery name, was really disappointed and surprised. Don’t bother with this activity, should not be advertised as they really are not set up to do this.

Have been for breakfast which was ok. A little bit cooler than I'd like but ok. Lunch was not great. Mac n cheese with chips, had to pay extra for chips, they were ok. Mac n cheese however was not great. No sauce, no cheese and very dry. Would never order it again. Expensive for what I had.

Really nice pub, great atmosphere, good honest tasty food at reasonable prices. Staff really friendly and polite. Very dog friendly. Pool and darts available. Park up for the night in a motorhome, no one minds.

Attention to detail with our order which was very good and only short wait. Home made scone big enough for us to share and delicious. Coffee hot and moreish. Caffe decor good ~ quite lade back with good background music. Cost on par with other vendors (even considering Inverness etc). Well worth a stop (admittedly this was not in tourist season where it possibly might be a lot busier and noisier ?

We stopped here because most other fast food in the nearby mall closed. We were very happy with the taste and quality of the food. I would rank this location among the top BK I have been to.

The restaurant had great views overlooking the loch. The staff was friendly but mostly inattentive. They forgot about our drinks…including tap water for the table. The risotto swimming in oil. Filet was just ok. Chips were good. Maybe stick with seafood. The Hoppy Ness IPA was good. Overall, just ok.

It was in the years 2017, 2018, 2019.... Probably the most arrogant staff I've ever experienced! Never again! Enough was enough. Rather stay hungry.... ☝️☝️ But to be fair, let me know if the managent and staff somewhat changed over the years and I will change this review accordingly. It's good to be fair and always keep oneself updated!

Ate here twice in a week. Once in bar area with dogs and once upstairs. Defo enjoyed the bar environment better - warmer and more relaxed. Food good in both locations x

Stopped for coffee and scones . This cafe is trying way too hard to be different to the point that it’s putting gimmicks before quality . Huge scones with jam in ( Jammin as in Bob Marley ) which look great but are bland and tasteless . Personally I prefer to chose how much butter and jam ( if any ) I want on my scone . Toffee muffin was dry and obviously not fresh . So at £16 for a scone, a muffin, a goat white and a tea, NOT value for money . Staff were also less than friendly and the guy making the coffees was as slow as a week in the jail . Need to concentrate more on good quality produce and friendlier customer service .

So my order was for between 8pm and 10pm it’s now half 11 at night just phoned in and all drivers have returned and gone home without delivering my order absolute poor service and will never be using here again Tesco far more reliable!

Me detuve en mi paseo para un café y desayuno. La comida era encantadora, aunque una elección de panecillos blancos o marrones sería preferible. Excelente servicio amable por una señora encantadora. Decepcionado al encontrar que sus cajas no son recicladas o compostables, siente que en esta época siempre tiene que poner su granito de arena por el medio ambiente y reducir los desechos.

I had a great visit to Costa in Fort William—friendly service, cozy atmosphere, and a perfect coffee break during my trip.
