Black Box Food in Highland

Stopped off on my dog walk for a coffee and breakfast roll. Food was lovely although a choice of white or brown rolls would be preferable. Excellent friendly service by a lovely lady. Disappointed to find their boxes are not recycled or compostable, feel that in this day and age ever has to do their bit for the environment and reduce waste.

The best mac and cheese ive ever had!!! Great location and lovely people. Recommend to anyone having a walk along the canal

Total waste of time and money. Staying on a campsite with signs everywhere saying food till 8pm at the snack van. First night they said oh we are taking last orders at 6.45 today. Left it and got a coffee in morning instead. Coffee was awful and not cheap. Decided to give them another wee try for food. Menu in cabin said open til 8pm. Sign outside cabin said open till 8pm. Placed order on just eat at 6.30 they advised 35 mins for collection. Waited and walked in rain to collect. Shutters all down. No one about. No one to contact. Poor campsite reception girl seemed embarrassed and advised they have a fb page to contact. Have tried that and no response at all to any complaints. What a joke. Crappy coffee then no food. Please read reviews. Campsite said everyone has to check Facebook for opening times before ordering lol. That's a new one lol. Didn't even think a wee snack van by the roadside would have a Facebook page!!!!!!! Total waste of time and a crappy end to our holiday! There's a lovely wee Chinese that delivers to site and it was amazing 👏 better giving business to a wee business that actually delivers 💗 fat bhudda chinese 💗

Stayed at torvean caravan site which I highly recommend Thought we would use black box for breakfast in the mornings so disappointed to find it is not openMon Tue or wed although street sign says 9am to 9pm yet On website it says 8 til 8

Located at the entrance to Torvean Caravan park, we decided to treat ourselves to breakfast rolls. So disappointed with the quality of ingredients. I suppose the price denotes this. Not fresh Scottish produce as expected, but low budget food served on a dry cold brioche bun. Such a shame, as we would have used it again. As it is, we sadly can’t recommend it.

Me, my Father and his partner had a burger, club sandwich, steak sandwich and fries. The burger was great, the club sandwich was good value for money in our opinion but the steak sandwich wasn't (Overpriced for what you get). The fries however were amazing. Fresh and hot! The chef though wasn't friendly. Overall good food but chef was maybe unfriendly because he was by himself and it was busy.

My wife and I were visiting friends who were staying at the Torvean Caravan Site. We all fancied a cooked breakfast and decided to try Black Box Food who have small premises near the Caravan Site entrance. There is a great range of food available including all the usual cooked breakfast favourites, hot and cold drinks, pizzas, burgers, hot sandwiches etc plus some vegan options. Prices were very reasonable with the 'wee box' at £5 and the 'big box'at £8.50 very good value. Service was quick and friendly and our breakfasts very enjoyable.
