The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Eilean a' Chèo Highland Highlands and Islands

Unfortunately the 5 course tasting menu is just not worth the £75 per head. None of the courses had any flavour and the beef was chewy, so overall, leaves you feeling underwhelmed and disappointed. Save your money and go elsewhere.

I stayed for two nights, never see a staff in the reception, always have to find them from the bar or restaurant, but they’re always busy to serve others customers as well. Asked to have a packed breakfast for leaving in the early morning, they accepted my request but didn’t get prepared for that. The next day morning, I went to the restaurant for breakfast, no one served me, the waitress pretended that she didn’t see me, instead, she went to serve the other table which enter later. The experience is bad. I don’t know if it is an issue about racist, or they simply don’t like backpacker? or solo female traveler.

New name, some new design features and vastly increased prices. Shame the breakfast rolls and full Scottish breakfast seem to have disappeared. I had a tasty hash stack, but £13!!. At these prices has to be compared to top hotels and restaurants . For these prices I think I would prefer the Wolseley on Piccadilly in London or maybe a trip to Paris or New York. So, Donald Johns or Cafe Cuil may not be a regular stop for locals n ow - just special occasions. The staff, however, are still charming, helpful and attentive

We went for drinks only. The bar was lovely, beautiful modern decor. Really lucky nice atmosphere everytime we went. Good range of beers, wines, whiskey and gins. They don’t really do cocktails, but the barmen was happy to make me an old fashioned with whisky, which was great.

Posto bellissimo, tipico, proprietario gentile, cibo squisito: zuppa pesce favolosa, mussels da sogno , fish and chips da ricordare. Veramente un posto che merita. Bravi, bravi, bravi.

Looked like a good place for food and a beer. Oh dear….. what a disappointment, the restaurant was no reservations. Was seated at a table close to the open door, windy and where the smokers were. Asked to move to an alternate table to be brushed aside by the waitress. Awful attitude from her. My husband asked how long the wait was for food and if we could move to a free table, she said not long for food and was snotty about moving us away from the wind and stench of cigarette smoke. Food looked extremely unappealing when it came out. Decided not to waste our time in this awful place. Rude, unprofessional, dirty, not what it claims to be. Do not bother.

We stayed in the accommodation next door and had dinner and breakfast here. Food was fantastic. The breakfast was the best we have ever had in any Hotel. I had the full breakfast and my Husband had the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. The staff are lovely and treated our dogs well. We have already recommended this place to family and friends.

Non capisco perché abbia una media così bassa. Abbiamo mangiato per cena in tre e ci siamo trovati bene. Il fish'n'chips era ben cottto e la bouillabasse gustosa. Anche i dolci e la selezione di birre alla spina erano sopra la media della zona. Sono stati veloci nel servizio e cordiali. I prezzi sono nella media dei pub della regione (ovvero non economici). Per farla breve lo consiglierei.

Great food we had the venison stew and balmoral chicken both were fantastic Staff really freindly would highly recommend

The fab cinnamon buns elevated our coffee stop from great to awesome! Other really yummy cakes are available. Oh, and the vegan tomato pizza swirl looked great too if you fancy a savoury.

It was in the years 2017, 2018, 2019.... Probably the most arrogant staff I've ever experienced! Never again! Enough was enough. Rather stay hungry.... ☝️☝️ But to be fair, let me know if the managent and staff somewhat changed over the years and I will change this review accordingly. It's good to be fair and always keep oneself updated!

Asked to leave as had 2 children and they don’t allow kids on weekends. (Never got asked to leave last time I was there on a Saturday with same small child) but disappointed as I had tried phoning multiple times earlier in the day with no answer. Could have avoided the 1.5hr drive with now two hungry and annoyed kids- and parents who wanted to watch the rugby!

I was surprised to see the many vegan options considering the size of the place. but I got fooled. the food was completely tasteless and for that, very overpriced! the veggie chili, which was declared as the special of the day was the worst I ever had, the rice must’ve been warmed up, because the rice grains were hard. the sausage, beans and chips my boyfriend had was equally tasteless, the chips not even salted. you better stay away and spend your money somewhere else!

Ni siquiera intentes comer en este hotel, incluso si te mueres de hambre. Fuimos un sábado por la noche, pedimos 2 hamburguesas y 1 pescado y patatas fritas. La cerveza olía a óxido y era plana. Esto fue cambiado de forma gratuita. Entonces llegó la comida! el pescado todavía tenía la forma de un bloque de hielo congelado y no estaba bien cocinado desde adentro y la masa era todo menos mejor. Las hamburguesas no tenían sabor y el bollo no estaba fresco.
