This place is most certainly open, we had a great coffee, the staff are multilingual and very funny, great banter and lovely coffee, would highly recommend.

Found this little place on google maps and wasn’t disappointed. Great beers all served as a third of a pint within a cosy building. Can definitely recommend the Black Isle IPA. There is also a small menu of burgers, which were very tasty and reasonably priced. All in all a very happy find and I shall return when I’m next in Edinburgh.

Great coffee, great cheese and fruit scones and savoury pastries. The staff were really lovely too. Just off the royal mile.

I would like to say a huge thank you to Bobby and his staff for an excellent funeral buffet. The food was first class and the service from both waitresses was second to none. I have no hesitation in recommending 'Thistles' for any function.

It's a pub which serves great food. Better than some restaurants we've ate at. No complaints whatsoever on all the dishes that we ate. Can be very busy on certain days and popular times so book ahead to be sure. Only usual comment is pity they don't do more for vegetarians.

Este es un encantador bar tradicional, situado en el lado sur de Edimburgo. Es un hito de Edimburgo para los verdaderos ales. No se sirve comida aquí, que es genial (no huele a comida). El personal experimentado es excelente. Shirley & Malcolm son estrellas. También es posible reservar mesas. Como está justo enfrente del restaurante chino Kwok, es muy conveniente. Un gran pub local. Un viejo pub histórico en la Guía Good Ale. Los perros en plomo también son bienvenidos.

Excellent meal, perfectly cooked by head chef Sean. Professionally served by Willie and Gemma. I had the brie then the roast beef. Perfectly cooked. Claire had the pate, George's home made recipe, then the scampi. Well done team .. 11 out of 10 xx

The course is unbelievable. 2nd hole is a must hit 4 iron 200 yrds then again over water 4 to green if you get the first shot right. If not your in big trouble. You must drive straight here. 3rd tough drive. 4th tight drive or 3 wood. 5th tight blind green. 7th 200 yard annoying par4. 9th approach over water. 10th 516 yrd par 5. 11th tricky par3 12th goodluck getting a 4 for par. 13th par 3 goodluck again. 14th tricky. 16th I got a 9 and it's a 255 odd yrd par 4! Water around green my handicap is 10. 17th lovely hole 18th tough also with water. Brilliant course if you shoot your handicap here you are playing very well. Par 3`s very hard to hit in one.

Great service and excellent quality food. Locally sourced produce. Breakfast bap with haggis. Yum. We were blessed with a beautiful day, so took advantage of the outdoor seating. Superb views. Little treat for the dog. Great food, great coffee, great service...what's not to love?

He venido a desayunar sola esta mañana, y me encanta venir aquí. La comida es tan fresca y porciones generosas. El personal es tan alegre y acogedor también. Sin duda recomiendo!

Realmente encantador café en el corazón de Edimburgo. La variedad de productos horneados en la ventana llamó nuestra atención, así que por supuesto entramos. Teníamos la galleta de pistacho y pastel de terciopelo rojo, ambos eran divinos! Por dentro el personal era muy agradable y estéticamente la decoración era muy fría! Los precios no eran malos, sobre todo si tenemos en cuenta que se encuentra en una zona turística.

This charming cafe, with welcoming staff, great coffee and moreish cakes is our first stop before the Rugby.

Great place to go for lunch, either sit in or takeaway.

I'm a bit fussy with scrambled eggs so I'm always a bit nervous ordering but the scrambled eggs here are bloody fantastic. Topped with salmon, I almost ordered a second helping.
