They took forever to serve at the counter . They seem to focus more on getting online/phone orders sorted than the humans waiting to be served. No excuse as plenty staff on

We had visited for tea and cake a few days earlier and returned because of the service and food. When we arrived it was a Saturday lunch time and it was a lot busier but the hard working staff quickly found a table for us, took our order and it was very quickly on the table (soup and toasted sandwich). The soup was tasty and hot, the sandwiches were fresh and tasty - with salad. We were tempted by the fruit scones but decided to have these as a 'takeaway' for later. Cannot recommend strongly enough.

And he ate the lemon cake why are the drivers eating someone’s order plz can you rectify your driver that he will be investigated for stealing

Llegó a Kirkwall en un crucero. Estábamos tan ansiosos por una comida distinta de lo que se sirve a bordo. No nos decepcionaron. Teníamos Panang Pollo Curry con arroz, servido con pan de niñera. Orkney Beef y Ale pastel servido con brócoli y guisantes y una generosa porción de papas fritas. Ambos eran deliciosos y justo lo que anhelábamos. £ 16 cada uno, pero bien vale la pena.

Soo sorry to hear closed !?! Was our favorite haunt for morning coffee/tea and . . . The porridge was one of the culinary highlights of our time in Edinburgh

Such a beautiful location with lovely staff but unfortunately the worst meal ever. If a chef cannot make macaroni then it's a big no from us. Pasta and water would have been more apt. Feel sorry for the waitresses working there having to serve such bland inedible food. We are not complainers but felt the need to. The waitresses were so lovely and engaging but even they could not make up for the inedible food. Will definitely not return

Had a fabulous lunch. Chose small plates of cheese soufflé, gambas pil pil and hot smoked salmon Caesar salad. Food was freshly cook and very tasty. Friendly and attentive staff. A lovely stop if in the area.

Gerard McGonigle. My wife and I stayed in this hotel in September this year( 2024) and were delighted with the place. We could not understand how it ever received bad reviews. The staff were always pleasant and included in the very affordable price was a full Scottish breakfast.I’d have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. Sincerely, Mr.&Mrs.McGonigle.

I ordered a cake for the next day thinking that they would make it fresh but the quality of the base is very bad it is very hard like a rock. The upper layer specially is rock solid and the cake itself is very sweet but tasteless. Never again very disappointed paid £35 for this rubbish.

Staying in Drumnadrochit for the weekend. Called the Benleva Hotel Restaurant on Saturday evening and booked a table for the following evening. When we arrived for dinner, the lady seemed surprised to see us and told us that the restaurant was closed. Very disappointing - we won’t be back.

Great staff, lovely food ( we had toasties with tea/coffee). Plenty of space. We always stop here when passing through Pitlochry.

I was here over a year ago and disappointed..thought would give another try. I won't be back ! They are still selling scones which are really burnt rock cakes ! This time I went for iced gingerbread. Not great. Dry and underwhelming..coffee average...shocked at price of cake and coffee ! This place has never improved...clearly they don't read reviews 😒 we deserve better produce and service ! Let your feet do walking..plenty of other coffee places to choose from..

Lovely restaurant with very friendly staff. Really good prices. Had coffee and the Victoria sponge which was absolutely divine. Will definitely be back.
